Saludos querida comunidad del entretenimiento, hoy traigo en esta publicación mi apreciación de la más reciente película protagonizada por la leyenda del cine Sophia Loren, "La vida ante sí"
"The Life Ahead" is a film produced by Neflix under the direction of Edoardo Ponti, Sophia Loren's son. This film is based on the novel of the same name written by Romain Kacew in 1975, who used the pseudonym "Émile Ajar" to publish the work and thus mock the French literary critics of that time. In my opinion, Romain Kacew's novel has some autobiographical overtones hidden among the characters of this work, since the author's life was a compilation of varied experiences from the rejection of his biological father to the horrors of World War II experienced firsthand.
This literary work was awarded the "Goncourt" prize and has been adapted to the cinema twice, in 1977 under the title "Madame Rosa" and in 2020 under the name "La vita davanti a sè".
"La vida ante sí" es una película producida por Neflix bajo la dirección de Edoardo Ponti, hijo de Sophia Loren. Esta película está basada en la novela homónima escrita por Romain Kacew en 1975, quien usó el pseudónimo "Émile Ajar" para publicar la obra y así burlar a la crítica literaria francesa de esa época. En mi opinión la novela de Romain Kacew tiene algunos matices autobiográficos escondidos entre los personajes de esta obra, ya que la vida del autor fue toda una compilación de variadas vivencias desde el rechazo de su padre biológico hasta los horrores de la Segunda Guerra Mundial experimentados de primera mano.
Esta obra literaria fue galordonada por el premio "Goncourt" y ha sido adaptada al cine en dos oportunidades, en el año 1977 bajo el título "Madame Rosa" y en 2020 con el nombre "La vita davanti a sè".
About the film / Sobre la película "The Life Ahead" is a film whose main characters are Madame Rosa and Momo (Mohamed) who meet in a city market when Momo, a 12 year old Senegalese orphan, steals Madame Rosa.
"La vida ante sí" es una película cuyos personajes principales son Madame Rosa y Momo (Mohamed)quienes se conocen en un mercado de la ciudad cuando Momo, un chico de 12 años senegalés huérfano, roba a Madame Rosa.
It is a feature film where the secondary characters are the ones who enrich and give life to the plot, showing us with a masterful threading the micro stories of people who embody life circumstances that they try to overcome.
Es un largometraje donde los personajes secundarios son los que enriquecen y dan vida a la trama, mostrándonos con una hilación magistral las micro historias de persona que encarnan circunstancias de vida que tratan de superar.
Madame Rosa is a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps, who in her adulthood runs a day care center for the children of prostitutes. She is a woman of deteriorated health where senile dementia begins to take its toll on her daily chores, and although Momo lives in her house for a short period, her advice and care, along with the support of other characters such as Dr. Cohen, Lola and the great Hamil will make this boy's life change and stop being a street urchin who, despite his young age, knows the world of drug trafficking.
Madame Rosa es una sobreviviente de los campos de concentración nazi, que en su edad adulta tiene una casa de cuidado (guardería) para hijos de prostitutas. Es una mujer de salud deteriorada donde la demencia senil comienza a cobrarle caro en sus quehaceres del día día, y aunque Momo vive en su casa por un corto período, sus consejos y cuidados, junto con el apoyo de otros personajes como el Dr. Cohen, Lola y en gran Hamil lograrán que la vida de este chico cambie y deje de ser un pilluelo de la calle que a pesar de su corta edad conoce el mundo del tráfico de drogas.
"The Life Ahead" brings us face to face with a message of hope and reminds us that with patience, love and care we can rescue someone who finds himself in unfavorable circumstances, showing him that life can be a little better.It is a film that makes us reflect on friendship, loyalty and empathy.
"La vida ante sí" nos pone cara a cara con un mensaje de esperanza y nos recuerda que con paciencia, cariño y cuidados se puede rescatar a alguien que se enceuntre en circunstancias poco favorables, mostrándole que la vida puede ser un poco mejor. Es un film que hace nos lleva a reflexionar sobre la amistad, la lealtad y la empatía.
What will the Academy say about Sophia Loren? Critics have high expectations for this actress, as she is among the first five women at the top of the list of possible Oscar nominees for Best Actress at the 93rd gala to be held on April 25, 2021.

No obstante tendremos que esperar hasta el 15 de marzo del presente año para poder conocer la lista oficial de nominados para los premios Oscar 2021, así que mi queridos amigos cinéfilos si hay alguna de las actrices que mencionamos en esta lista que no han tenido oportunidad de ver su trabajo, aún están a tiempo y así tener ya una opinión propia a la hora de conocer las nominaciones formales.
