昨天发帖说了，忙里偷闲去看了院线正在上映的大片《决战中途岛》。剧情就是平铺直叙，从偷袭珍珠港开始，表现了进攻马绍尔群岛，杜立特对东京的单程轰炸，迫降中国后被营救，美军对日本的情报破译，最后在中途岛决战的整个过程。应该说还是不错的,算是近年来难得的全景式战争片，有点像六、七十年代的战争电影，不像很多现在战争电影总是加入许多爱情故事和人性反思。这样似乎更符合军事和历史爱好者的胃口，而不太适合大众口味。可能正因如此，害怕票房亏本，整部影片投资不大，视觉效果虽然仍属上乘，但完全依赖电脑CG，在画面质感上比18年前的《珍珠港》差了很多，因为《珍珠港》里面还是有很多实拍镜头的。当然《珍珠港》当年也是票房血亏。
剧情基本就跟历史教科书似的，但是为了照顾普通观众，做了简化，日本方面的角色只有舰队指挥官山本五十六，机动部队指挥官南云忠一、二航战指挥官山口多闻。美国方面则仅有太平洋舰队司令尼米兹和哈尔西。其余的戏份则分配给了轰炸机驾驶员贝斯特和情报官莱顿，这两人的戏份是整部影片的两条主线。太平洋战争前期，美军在珍珠港被重创，实力远弱于日本海军，正是因为情报官莱顿准确破译了日方情报，使美军将残存的力量集中布置于中途岛，才得以有与强大日军一战的可能。而轰炸机驾驶员贝斯特则在中途岛战役当天，两次出击，并且两次都命中日军航母。
既然这是一部比较忠实于历史的电影，所以也要谈谈中途岛海战的历史。历史其实是充满很多偶然因素的，关于中途岛海战，日方流传一种命运五分钟的说法，就是日方机动部队指挥官南云准备对中途岛发动第二波空袭的时候，得知附近有美军航母，于是下令将对地攻击的炸弹换成对舰攻击的鱼雷再出击。就在换装的过程中，被美军的俯冲轰炸机部队攻击，被击毁三艘航母。如果美军攻击晚发生五分钟，日军的飞机就可以换装完毕，倾巢而出，凭借数量优势也能把美军仅存的三艘航母送进海底，夺取胜利。不过在影片中，反驳了这种说法，换装过程不可能在短时间内完成。但是影片也展示另一个偶然性，就是贝斯特所在的轰炸机部队一开始并没有在预定海域发现日本舰队，而且飞机燃料已经快耗尽。本来准备返航的，正在这时发现了因为攻击美军潜艇“鹦鹉螺”号而掉队的日本驱逐舰，于是尾随它，才发现航母大部队，展开攻击的。如果不是“鹦鹉螺”号拖住了这艘日本军舰，贝斯特他们很可能会错失对日军航母发动致命攻击的机会。

影片没有什么反战色彩，还有些宣扬英雄主义，但战争毕竟是一件不幸的事情，不值得赞扬。但在这方面影片还是着了点墨的。贝斯特的一个战友在劳军晚会上对贝斯特的妻子说：“我们这些海军飞行员，每次起飞都可能回不来，但我们却要听从那些对此毫不在乎的家伙的指挥。”一句话说出了，个人宝贵的生命在战争中却毫无价值的荒谬。
