Después de películas con temáticas con poco mas adultas y existencialistas como lo fue Soul, muchos pensaron que el estudio de animación pixar se dedicaría a este tipo de temáticas, pero ahora nos llega Luca, una película un poco mas ligera y con un tono mas alegre para toda la familia, pero que no deja de tener un mensaje sumamente importante sobre la aceptación personal, y es que justamente este es el foco del filme, un niño que es básicamente un monstruo marino que quiere conocer la superficie, y es aquí cuando conoce a Alberto otro monstruo marino mucho mas valiente e intrépido que le motiva a salir, y es aquí cuando harán una amistad fuerte y duradera, pero no alejada de los peligros ya que si les llega a tocar el agua, todos se darán cuenta de quienes son, y esto da pie a situaciones bastante hilarantes, algo que si debo decir del filme, es que es muy entretenida y tengan por seguro que les gustara, pero no es la mejor película de pixar, esta al nivel de Onward la cual es bastante buena pero tampoco es una de las mejores del estudio, algo que si debo aplaudir es el estilo de animación, el cual se asemeja un poco al stop-motion sin llegar a hacerlo, no se si han visto los cortometrajes de Wallace y Gromit, bueno las expresiones faciales por momentos se me hicieron similares con estos personajes.

Había un tema que no deseaba abordar en esta review por que lo considero un tema minado, que si digo algo esquivado quedare mal, y es que muchos la han catalogado como la primera película LGTB de disney, y la verdad tengo que decir que si y no es cierto, a ver los personajes son dos niños que son amigos, en ningún momento la historia va dirigida hacia el romance, pero por otro lado la película toma como mensaje el ser tu mismo, sin miedo a mostrarte al mundo, y como el cine es un medio artístico, toda esta en como el espectador capte ese mensaje, si yo veo que es un mensaje para salir del closet eso esta bien, o si yo siento que es un mensaje que me motiva a cambiar de carrera en la universidad por algo que me haga mas feliz también esta correcto, otro punto que lo sentí vacío en la película es el propio mundo marino, el cual se explora muy poco para ser sinceros, y ok entiendo lo principal era ver a los protagonistas viviendo en la superficie, pero no hubiera estado de mas, un poco mas de muestra de este mundo marino, algo que si esta bien representado sin llegar a ser muy destacado es la cultura italiana, que sirve como telón de fondo, es mas un adorno que un personaje mas por decirlo de esta forma, mi visión con este filme es mas como lo fue Cars para pixar en su momento, una película muy buena, entretenida y con un mensaje bastante bueno para los niños, que es posible explorar es varias secuelas si así lo decide disney.
