Synopsis
Telling the story of two brothers surnamed "Elric", the young "Alphonse" and his older brother "Edward", are the protagonists of this incredible anime. In it we are told the story in which both are involved in a magical world of alchemy controlled by humans who do amazing things, one day, they lose their beloved mother in a tragic way and decide to revive her using such alchemy, which went very wrong and in the process of the equivalent exchange, Edward lost his arm and leg while Alphonse lost his entire body, it is here where they set out on a mission to find the philosopher's stone, an ancient artifact of great power with which they can do things beyond the ability of mere mortals, for this they join the order of alchemists seeking power and clues and thus recover the body of Al.
Opinion
Being a jewel of the "Old School", this anime remastered from the original, is one of the best I've seen in many years, with an exceptional story, deep and very well done, totally unique in every way, the animations are extremely fluid, with lovely colors to make it a complete work of art, plus the battles leave absolutely nothing to be desired, since they have a very flexible style while diverse, with melee combat and power levels in alchemy used in battle to make them even more creative.
Honestly, I love this anime in all aspects and it is quite nostalgic for me, it transports me years ago when I saw it for the first time, invading me with so many feelings that the truth is really a pleasure to remember it, besides, its story is incredible and it has well developed and varied characters which have a lot of impact in this installment.
On the other hand, I will highlight the most important details regarding the same:
Alchemy: In "Fullmetal Alchemist", this is known as a type of science, which has laws that we must follow, the same in this world has many things to pay attention to, especially if it is used very often, where the rules or rather, as a principle, is as follows: "Man can get nothing without first giving something in return", for me is an iconic motto. When mastered with this tool you can modify body, element or even create matter out of nothing.
Animation: For such an old release, Broterhood left us a great impression in terms of the changes and improvements it brought to something that was already excellent, the animation is quite impressive, as they improved in capturing scenes, fights and the scenery itself, which takes this anime to another level. A work of art that we must see if or if.
Scenarios
In this incredible world we can find a great diversity of scenarios, leaving us totally engrossed with them, going from fields to forests, walking our characters through cities with many problems and mysteries, with a large and different structure, reaching the headquarters of the alchemists, all these settings are amazing and draw much attention to appreciate the details that have the same.
To me in particular, I found very well all the locations that were designed for this anime, because that's what it is, a place with mysteries, which contain clues about the missions and terrifying enemies, giving more intrigue to this anime, nothing to be desired, for me, each and every one was very good.
Alchemy
In this section I will develop to a greater extent the element that, for me, is the most important of the anime, "Alchemy", is a science that is used in various ways as I said, in fights, wars, medicine, construction, among many others, giving the ability to humans to do things that had never been seen before through circles and rituals, in this section I will mention the style of alchemy that I liked the most in this incredible story.
Transmutation: This is the ritual in which you try to revive a dead body or make modifications, which is a "forbidden" ritual, because playing with life and death is something that should not be taken lightly and carries enormous consequences, the alchemy of transmutation is the one that gave us the beginning of this great delivery.
Modification: One of the most used in FullMetal Alchemist, with it you can modify material objects into things that are required, in the case of our protagonist, he uses it in an excellent way, using his metal arm as a sword, transforming lamps into swords or turning a dagger into a rod.
Creation: This is my favorite, with this element of alchemy you can create elements from nothing, born from the palms of the bearers, in the case of one of my favorite characters, he uses it to create fire from nothing and attack with it, this type of alchemy is one of the most difficult to master.
Clashes
I think I already mentioned how incredible and exceptional these battles are, but I can't avoid developing them, since they have quite a large variety, ranging from melee combat, with bladed weapons or ranged weapons, obviously alchemy is the most important element of it because, with this we can take these clashes to another world of difficulty for our characters, because you never know what they will attack with.
Characters
Once again, we begin what would be my favorite section in all my reviews, I know I always comment on it, however, it is the part I am most excited to write, because, thanks to the characters, is that the story develops, so, this is the time where I can finally talk about them, besides highlighting those who, in my opinion, were the most outstanding in this story.
Edward Elric: One of our main characters, better known as the "Steel Alchemist", due to the prosthesis he uses to fight and be able to live. This was an ordinary child, with a natural talent for alchemy, he had to mature at a very young age thanks to the responsibility of transmuting his mother and with the important mission of saving the body of his brother. After he committed the crime of transmutation, he trains and sets out in search of the philosopher's stone, where, to find it, he arrives at the alchemists' organization in which he must earn their rank and respect to obtain what he desires. Will this young man be able to return his brother's body to him?
Alphonse Elric: Our other main character, the innocent Alphonse encased in a huge armor without any human body, this boy is a rather noble soul, which has no malice, but in the relevant moments is a fearsome fighter. He does not have any kind of enormous talent with alchemy and carries with his brother the pain of seeing the result of his irresponsibility in using transmutation, he himself is his brother's support in every way and will protect the people he loves with everything he has. What will Alphonse be capable of for his loved ones?
Roy Mustang: My favorite character of this anime, the truth, better known as the Fire Alchemist, Colonel of the alchemists and a cornerstone of the story, he himself receives the Elric brothers and sends them on dangerous missions, demonstrating the great confidence he has in them, this is a rather controversial character, but charming both in personality and appearance, if it comes time to fight this is a war veteran and has enormous destructive capabilities, burning alive his enemies and with good melee fighting skills, a rather exceptional character. What are Mustang's objectives?
End
We came to the end of another incredible review of an anime of the so called "Old School", which I love, entering among my favorites among a long list that I have seen, also, if you really like this type of Japanese animated entertainment, you must watch this anime, I'm sure you will not be disappointed, it's really amazing, so, I highly recommend it. Sinopsis
Contando la historia de dos hermanos apellidados “Elric”, el joven “Alphonse” y su hermano mayor “Edward”, son los protagonistas de este anime tan increíble. En el mismo nos narran la historia en la cual, ambos están envueltos en un mundo magico de alquimia controlada por humanos los cuales hacen cosas impresionantes, un día, estos pierden a su amada madre de una forma trágica y deciden revivirla empleando dicha alquimia, cosa que salió muy mal y en el proceso del intercambio equivalente, Edward perdió su brazo y pierna mientras que Alphonse perdió todo su cuerpo, es aquí donde estos se ponen en la misión de buscar la piedra filosofal, un artefacto antiguo y de gran poder con el que pueden realizar cosas más allá de la capacidad de simples mortales, para esto se enlistan a la orden de los alquimistas buscando poder y pistas y así recuperar el cuerpo de Al.
Opinión
Siendo una joya de la “Vieja escuela”, este anime remasterizado a partir del original, es uno de los mejores que he visto en muchos años, con una historia excepcional, profunda y muy bien hecha, totalmente única en todos los sentidos, las animaciones van en extremo fluidas, con colores encantadores para volverlo una completa obra de arte, además que las batallas no dejan absolutamente nada que desear, puesto que las mismas tienen un estilo bastante flexible al mismo tiempo que diverso, con combates cuerpo a cuerpo y niveles de poder en alquimia utilizada en batalla para hacerlas aún más creativas.
Con sinceridad este anime en todos los aspectos me encanta y es bastante nostálgico para mí, me transporta años atrás cuando lo vi por primera vez invadiéndome de tantos sentimientos que la verdad es realmente un placer recordarlo, demas, su historia es increíble y posee personajes bien desarrollados y variados los cuales, tienen mucho impacto en esta entrega.
Por otro lado, resaltare los detalles mas importantes con respecto al mismo:
Alquimia: En “Fullmetal Alchemist”, esta se conoce como un tipo de ciencia, la cual tiene leyes que debemos seguir, la misma en este mundo tiene muchas cosas a las cuales prestarle atención, especialmente si se utiliza con mucha frecuencia, donde las reglas o mejor dicho, como principio, es el siguiente: "El hombre no puede obtener nada sin primero dar algo a cambio", para mí es un lema icónico. Cuando se domina con esta herramienta se pueden modificar cuerpo, elemento o incluso crear materia de la nada.
Animación: Para ser una entrega tan antigua, Broterhood nos dejó una gran impresión en cuanto a los cambios y mejoras que trajo a algo que ya de por sí era excelente, la animación es bastante impresionante, ya que mejoraron al plasmar escenas, combates y la propia escenografía, lo que lleva a este anime a otro nivel. Una obra de arte que debemos ver si o si.
Escenarios
En este increíble mundo podemos encontrarnos con una gran diversidad de escenarios, dejándonos totalmente ensimismados con los mismos, yendo desde campos a bosques, paseando a nuestros personajes por ciudades con muchos problemas y misterios, con una gran y diferente estructura, llegando al cuartel general de los alquimistas, todas estas ambientaciones son increíbles y llaman mucho la atención al apreciar los detalles que tengan las mismas.
A mí en particular, me parecieron muy bien todas las locaciones que se diseñaron para este anime, ya que de eso trata, un lugar con misterios los cuales contengas pistas sobre las misiones y enemigos aterradores, dándole más intriga a este anime, nada que desear, para mí, todos y cada uno fueron muy buenos.
Alquimia
En esta sección desarrollaré en mayor medida el elemento que, para mi más es el más importante del anime, “La Alquimia”, es una ciencia que se emplea de diversas formas como ya comente, en peleas, guerras, medicina, construcción, entre muchas otras, dándole la capacidad a los humanos de hacer cosas que nunca antes se había visto mediante círculos y rituales, en este apartado mencionaré el estilo de alquimia que mas me gustaron en esta increíble historia.
Transmutación: Este es el ritual en el que se intenta revivir un cuerpo muerto o realizarle modificaciones, la cual es un ritual “prohibido”, debido a que jugar con la vida y la muerte es algo que no se debe tomar a la ligera y conlleva consecuencias enormes, la alquimia de transmutación es la que nos dio inicio a esta gran entrega.
Modificación: Una de las más utilizadas dentro de FullMetal Alchemist, con la misma se pueden modificar objetos materiales en cosas que se requieran, en el caso de nuestro protagonista, este la emplea de una forma excelente, utilizando su brazo metálico como espada, transformar lámparas en espadas o volver una daga en una varilla.
Creación: Esta es mi favorita, con este elemento de la alquimia se pueden crear elementos desde la nada, naciendo de las palmas de los portadores, en el caso de uno de mis personajes favoritos, la usa para crear fuego de la nada y atacar con el mismo, este tipo de alquimia cabe destacar es uno de los más difíciles de dominar.
Enfrentamientos
Creo que ya mencioné lo increíbles y excepcionales que son estas batallas, pero no puedo evitar desarrollarlas, ya que las mismas tienen una variedad bastante grande, yendo estas desde combates cuerpo a cuerpo, con armas blancas o armas de distancia, obviamente la alquimia es el elemento más importante del mismo por el hecho de que, con esta podremos llevar estos enfrentamientos a otro mundo de dificultad para nuestros personajes, pues nunca se sabe con qué se atacara.
Personajes
Nuevamente, comenzamos la que sería mi sección favorita en todas mis reseñas, sé que siempre la comento, sin embargo, es la parte que más me emociona escribir, ya que, gracias a los personajes, es que se desarrolla la historia, así que, este es el momento donde por fin puedo hablar de los mismos, ademas de resaltar los que, en mi opinión, fueron los más destacados en esta historia.
Edward Elric: Uno de nuestros personajes principales, mejor conocido como el Alquimista de Acero", debido a las prótesis que utiliza para pelear y poder vivir. Este era un niño común y corriente, con un talento natural para la alquimia, el mismo tuvo que madurar a una muy corta edad gracias a que carga la responsabilidad de transmutar a su madre y con la importante misión de salvar el cuerpo de su hermano. Luego de que este cometiera el delito de la transmutación, entrena y se pone en búsqueda de la piedra filosofal, donde, para encontrarla, llega a la organización de alquimistas en la cual deberá ganarse su rango y respeto para obtener lo que desea. ¿Podrá este joven devolverle el cuerpo a su hermano?.
Alphonse Elric: Nuestro otro personaje principal, el inocente Alphonse encerrado en una armadura enorme sin ningún cuerpo humano, este niño es un alma bastante noble, el cual no tiene ningún tipo de malicia, pero en los momentos relevantes es un temible peleador. Este no tiene ningún tipo de talento enorme con la alquimia y lleva junto a su hermano el dolor de ver el resultado de su irresponsabilidad al usar transmutación, el mismo es el apoyo de su hermano en todos los sentidos y protegerá a las personas que ama con todo lo que tiene. ¿De qué será capaz Alphonse por sus seres queridos?.
Roy Mustang: Mi personaje favorito de este anime, la verdad, mejor conocido como el Alquimista de Fuego, Coronel de los alquimistas y una piedra angular de la historia, el mismo recibe a los hermanos Elric y los envía a misiones peligrosas, demostrando la gran confianza que tiene en los mismos, este es un personaje bastante controversial, pero encantador tanto en personalidad como en apariencia, si llega la hora de pelear este es un veterano de guerra y tiene unas capacidades destructivas enormes, quemando vivos a sus enemigos y con buenas habilidades de pelea cuerpo a cuerpo, un personaje bastante excepcional. ¿Cuáles son los objetivos de Mustang?
Fin
Llegamos al final de otra increíble reseña de un anime de la llamada “Vieja Escuela”, el cual me encanta, entrando entre mis favoritos entre una larga lista que he visto, ademas, si de verdad les gusta este tipo de entretenimiento animado japones, deben de ver este anime, estoy segura que no los decepcionara, es realmente increíble, así que, lo recomiendo muchísimo. Espero que hayan disfrutado este post tanto como yo disfrute escribiendo el mismo para todos ustedes.
