Set in the origin of the empires of Asia, the legend of 10 powerful rings is told, which grant eternal life and incredible power to its bearer. Xu Wenwu the discoverer of these weapons full of great power, forms the organization called "The 10 rings ", which he has been leading for millennia until the present time. Attracted by more power, he investigates an unknown dimension called "Ta Lo ", in which there is an immensity of mythical and incredible beasts with great hidden power. It is there when he meets a guardian of this dimension capable of defeating him even with the power of the rings, falling in love with this incredible woman and having 2 children.
Years later, after a series of events, the organization "The 10 rings" searches for his two children who escaped from home by order of Xu Wenwu. What will be Xu Wenwu's purpose in searching for her two sons after years without seeing them?
I found this movie totally impressive in many aspects, the plot was something really incredible, trapping you to the point of feeling in a fantasy world with all the diversity of characters and animations so well done and polished, also, the fights are really fluid with brutal movements and scenarios, a perfect cameo for the scenery and special effects extremely extraordinary. Undoubtedly a film with a big budget behind it.
The movements performed by the martial artists are of the most complete, the animation of the mythical beasts is so well done to the point that they seem real taken from the same stone statues, I loved all the visual aspects of this great film in conjunction with a really incredible story able to take you into the culture of the Asian continent completely.
Now, being a little more critical and objective, I will highlight some details that I liked and some that I didn't like so much.
Camera: I have seen movies with very good special effects, with excellent tracking cameras and characters, however, particularly in this film, I found it incredible because the camera movements make the film look extremely fluid, also influences the position of the scenarios, which by the angle they take in each shot, can be appreciated in an excellent way.
Lead Actor: To tell the truth, in the beginning, because of the actor's appearance, I felt that he would not fit the role. However, with the plot development of this installment and the smooth and natural acting of the actor, I could tell that he was born for the role. Unconsciously by his appearance and the personality of the character and how he gets along with the other actors, he makes us get attached to the character after a series of events.
Katy and her talents: Although not much is said about this and there were few scenes, the maneuverability with which the character "Katy ", drove was sublime, the few scenes in which they were put to the test, were exciting to the point of shocking me, is to see how this girl of which even her mother doubted, She had a gift for driving at the level of a NASCAR driver, in addition to other hidden talents that you will appreciate in the development of the film, highlighting that her character had an exponential growth throughout the film and was of great importance for the development of some of the battles.
Marvel: The inclusion of Shang-Chi to the Marvel universe is something that excites me a lot because when I learned of his inclusion in this incredible cinematic universe, I was waiting for it with great anxiousness. On the other hand "Shang Shi", as a character and all the talents he possesses, can have a lot of development and complement some aspects of the legacy left by the great Stan Lee. Let's wait to see how they can intertwine this amazing story with the rest of the iconic superheroes already known.
Mythical Beasts: Within the vast world of Ta Lo, we find beasts that we should know, such as Phoenix Birds, Dragons, and Lions of Fu. Even some strange creatures like Morris, in that sense, what I want to denote with this, is how well made and attached these creatures are to the mythology, which makes the story itself, is really attractive and captivating.
Normally and as you may have noticed in previous reviews when reviewing any movie, series, and/or anime, I try to observe in detail the scenery and the environment where it takes place; and let me tell you that it is totally incredible from beginning to end, the structure of the buildings is totally perfect, a moving forest, battles in the heights, fantasy worlds with mythical beasts, left me totally enchanted.
I think this is one of the few occasions in which I decide to talk about this and the truth is because it totally deserves it. As I said before, I emphasized the incredible special effects that this film has, based on this, the most impressive aspects regarding the special effects, for me were:
The movement in nature, is incredible, enchanting, and captivating, a flow of movement so beautiful and clean that it totally caught me.
The effects of the movement of the rings totally synchronous, as if they were real weapons, the force fields that these made to cover the wearer and in turn unleash a destructive power is really incredible.
Coming to the main course in this type of action and fantasy movies, I really have absolutely nothing to complain about, since the diversity of fighting styles, as it was to be expected, is very diverse, in addition to the different types of weapons that we can appreciate throughout the movie. In this sense, the most outstanding types of fighting are the following:
Melee Battles: The vast majority of times we will be able to see bare-knuckle fights where Kung-Fu, Karate, and Jiu-Jitsu techniques are used for totally impressive scenes.
Weapons: We have a great diversity of these, from cutting-edge technological weapons, electrified and prosthetics, to classic weapons built from magical elements with a great hidden and destructive power.
Mythical: I call this time "Mythical" to the magical abilities of the Kung-Fu fighters, which in their movements can move in an incredible way the wind and its elements, making part of itself the nature and its strength. At the same time, I must also highlight the ring bearers who have really incredible abilities.
This is the second time that I open this section in a post, but it really deserves it, since the message is very clear, taking into account that, “Love” is what transforms us into better or worse people, giving us an incredible strength to face problems, as the love and affection of a mother or wife. And how difficult things can get when we lose them. It seems something very simple, but it really has a very powerful meaning because there is nothing more powerful and pure than “A mother’s love”.
Now I will talk about the 3 characters that I liked the most both in development and construction of the same, I loved the truth.
Shang-Chi: Son of the Mandarin (Wenmu), a man trained since childhood to fight and kill anyone, skilled martial artist, charismatic, and will do anything for his friends. Going through a difficult childhood, sees his mother die, and has to endure a variety of tortures in order to become a killing machine. Shang-Chi is a noble soul who only wants to fight for good, thanks to all the teachings and messages left to him by his mother.
Xialing: Daughter of the Mandarin (Wenmu) and younger sister of Shang-Chi, a woman with a lot of character and an incredible martial skill developed by herself. Leaving home as a child and creating a clandestine fighting empire on her own, after meeting her brother, her heart opens to the possibility of fighting for others and leaving hatred behind.
Wenmu: The Mandarin, a man who has lived many decades of humanity, observing the development of the world and ruling the 10 rings in his arms as well as his organization, the ambition of this man leads him to take any kind of risk and annihilate anyone who gets in his way.

I highly recommend this movie, it is brutally well made, and it goes without saying that I loved it in every aspect, its story, people, special effects, are the best I’ve seen in months with respect to feature films made this year.

Situados en el origen de los imperios de Asia, se cuenta la leyenda de 10 poderosos anillos, los cuales otorgan vida eterna y un poder increíble a su portador. Xu Wenwu el descubridor de estas armas llenas de gran poder, forma la organización llamada "Los 10 anillos", la cual lleva milenios dirigiendo hasta la época actual. Atraído por más poder este investiga una dimensión desconocida llamada "Ta Lo", en la cual existen una inmensidad de bestias míticas e increíbles con un gran poder oculto. Es allí cuando este conoce a una guardiana de dicha dimensión capaz de hacerle frente derrotándolo incluso con el poder de los anillos, enamorándose de esta increíble mujer y teniendo 2 hijos.
Años más tarde después de una serie de sucesos, la organización “Los 10 anillos” busca por orden de Xu Wenwu a sus dos hijos que escaparon de casa. ¿Cuál será el propósito de Xu Wenwu al buscar a sus dos hijos luego de años sin verlos?
Me pareció totalmente impresionante esta película en muchos aspectos, la trama fue algo realmente increíble, atrapándote al punto de sentirte en un mundo de fantasía con toda la diversidad de personajes y animaciones tan bien hechas y pulidas, ademas, las peleas son realmente fluidas con movimientos y escenarios brutales, un cameo perfecto para la escenografía y efectos especiales sumamente extraordinarios. Sin duda una película con mucho presupuesto detrás.
Los movimientos realizados por los artistas marciales son de lo más completos, la animación de las bestias míticas está tan bien hecha al punto de que parecen reales sacadas de las mismas estatuas de piedra, me encantaron todos los aspectos visuales de esta gran película en conjunto con una historia realmente increíble capaz de adentrarte en la cultura del continente asiático de forma completa.
Ahora bien, siendo un poco más crítica y objetiva, resaltare detalles que me gustaron y otro que no tanto.
Cámara: He visto películas con efectos especiales muy buenos, con un seguimiento de las cámaras y los personajes excelentes, sin embargo, particularmente en esta cinta, me pareció increíble, debido a que los movimientos de las cámaras hacen que la película se vea en extremo fluida, también influye en la posicion de los escenarios, los cuales por el ángulo que toman estas en cada toma, se pueden apreciar de forma excelente.
Actor Principal: La verdad, al principio, por el aspecto del mismo actor, sentí que no se apegaría al papel. Sin embargo, con el desarrollo argumental de esta entrega y la actuación tan fluida y natural del mismo, pude notar que este nació para dicho papel. Inconscientemente por su apariencia y la personalidad del personaje y como se lleva con los demas actores, hace que luego de una serie de sucesos logremos apegarnos al mismo.
Katy y sus talentos: Aunque no se habla mucho de esto y fueron pocas las escenas, la maniobrabilidad con la que el personaje "Katy", conducía fue sublime, las pocas escenas en las cuales se pusieron a prueba, fueron emocionantes al punto de impactarme, es ver como esa chica de la cual hasta su madre dudaba, tenía un don de conducir al nivel de un piloto de NASCAR, ademas de otros talentos ocultos que podrán apreciar en el desarrollo de la película, resaltando que su personaje tuvo un crecimiento exponencial a lo largo de la misma y fue de gran importancia para el desarrollo de algunas de las batallas.
Marvel: La inclusión de Shang-Chi al universo Marvel es algo que me emociona mucho, ya que cuando me entere de su inclusión a este increíble universo cinematográfico, la estuve esperando con muchas ansias. Por otro lado “Shang Shi”, como personaje y todos los talentos que posee, puede tener mucho desarrollo y complementar algunos aspectos del legado que dejo el gran Stan Lee. Esperemos a ver de que forma pueden entrelazar esta increíble historia con el resto de superhéroes icónicos ya conocidos.
Bestias Míticas: Dentro del basto mundo de Ta Lo, encontramos bestias que deberíamos de conocer, como Aves Fénix, Dragones y Leones de Fu. Inclusive unas criaturas extrañas como Morris, en tal sentido, lo que quiero denotar con esto, es lo bien hechas y apegadas que están estas criaturas a la mitología, lo que hace que la historia en sí, sea realmente atractiva y cautivante.
Normalmente y como se abran dado cuenta en anteriores revisiones, trato al realizar una reseña de cualquier película, serie y/o anime, observar a detalle los escenarios y el ambiente donde se desarrolla la misma; y déjenme decirles que es totalmente increíble de principio a fin, la estructura de los edificios es totalmente perfecta, un bosque en movimiento, batallas en las alturas, mundos fantasiosos con bestias míticas, me dejaron totalmente encantada.
Creo que es de las pocas ocasiones en las cuales decido hablar respecto a esto y la verdad es porque se lo merece totalmente. Como ya comenté anteriormente, hice énfasis en los increíbles efectos especiales que esta cinta posee, en base a esto, los aspectos más impactantes con respecto a los efectos especiales, para mi fueron:
El movimiento en la naturaleza, es increíble, encantadora y cautivante, un flujo de movimiento tan hermoso y limpio que me atrapo totalmente.
Los efectos del movimiento de los anillos totalmente sincrónicos, como si de armas reales se tratasen, los campos de fuerza que estos realizaban para cubrir a su portador y a su vez desencadenar un poder destructivo es realmente increible.
Llegando al plato principal en este tipo de películas de acción y fantasía, realmente no tengo absolutamente nada de que quejarme, ya que la diversidad de estilos de pelea como era de esperarse es mucha, ademas de los distintos tipos de armas que podemos apreciar a lo largo de la película. En tal sentido, los tipos de lucha más resaltantes son los siguientes:
Batallas Cuerpo a Cuerpo: La gran mayoría de ocasiones podremos ver peleas a puño limpio donde se utilizan técnicas de Kung-Fu, Karate y Jiu Jitsu para escenas totalmente impresionantes.
Armas: Tenemos una gran diversidad de estas, desde armas de vanguardia tecnológicas, electrificadas y prótesis, hasta armas clásicas construidas a partir de elementos mágicos con un gran poder oculto y destructivo.
Mítico: Denomino en esta ocasión “Mítico” a las habilidades mágicas que tienen los luchadores de Kung-Fu, los cuales en sus movimientos pueden mover de una forma increíble el viento y sus elementos, haciendo parte de si mismo la naturaleza y su fuerza. A su vez también debo destacar a los portadores de los anillos los cuales tienen habilidades realmente increíbles.
Esta es la segunda ocasión en la que abro este apartado en un post, pero la verdad se lo merece, ya que el mensaje es muy claro, tomando en cuenta que, “El amor” es lo que nos transforma en mejores o peores personas, dándonos una fuerza increíble para afrontar los problemas, como el cariño y afecto de una madre o esposa. y lo difícil que se pueden poner las cosas cuando las perdemos. Parece algo muy simple, pero que realmente tiene un significado muy poderoso ya que no hay nada mas poderoso y puro que el “Amor de una madre”.
Ahora hablare de los 3 personajes que más me gustaron tanto en desarrollo como en construcción de los mismos, me encantaron la verdad.
Shang-Chi: Hijo del Mandarín (Wenmu), un hombre entrenado desde niño para pelear y matar a quien sea, hábil artista marcial, carismático y hará lo que sea por sus amigos. Pasando por una infancia difícil, viendo a su madre morir y teniendo que soportar una gran variedad de torturas con el fin de volverse una máquina de matar. Shang-Chi es un alma noble que solo desea luchar por el bien, gracias a todas las enseñanzas y mensajes que le dejo su Madre.
Xialing: Hija del Mandarín (Wenmu) y hermana menor de Shang-Chi, una mujer con mucho carácter y una habilidad marcial increíble desarrollada por ella misma. Abandonando su casa siendo solo una niña y creando un imperio de peleas clandestino por si sola, luego de encontrarse con su hermano, su corazón se abre a la posibilidad de pelear por otros y dejar atrás el odio.
Wenmu: El Mandarín, un hombre que ha vivido muchas décadas de la humanidad, observando el desarrollo del mundo y gobernando los 10 anillos en sus brazos así como a su organización, la ambición de este hombre lo lleva a tomar cualquier tipo de riesgo y aniquilar a quien se ponga en su camino.
Recomiendo mucho esta película, esta brutalmente bien hecha, ademas esta por demas decir que me encanto en todos los aspectos, su historia, personales, efectos especiales, es uno de lo mejores que he visto en meses con respecto a largometrajes realizados este mismo año.
