I remember well the day when, together with my two friends, we saw the Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring, the first film of an incredible trilogy and which made me discover a huge passion for the adventures of Frodo Baggins and his companions. After watching the film, I read the books of Tolkien, the author of the world of Hobbits and the vicissitudes related to the ring of power.
I also very much appreciated the trilogy The Hobbit, which tells in detail the previous events, as Bilbo Baggins came into possession of the magic ring of Sauron which gave him youth and long life. In my opinion, the book is more fluent and pleasant to read, compared to the length, albeit appreciated, of the film version.
When I heard about the Amazon TV series project a couple of years ago, I was really excited. The story before the ring was mostly unknown to me, so I was really happy with the news. A few weeks ago, I saw the first trailer and although some controversy was read, the premises for an exciting series were all there!
A few days ago I finished the fourth episode of the TV series entitled The rings of power, the story takes place long ago to the previous films, even before the war against Sauron and the creation of the rings. There was fear that the making of a series so complicated to be transcribed in film and without the direction of Peter Jackson, could easily meet the disappointment of the audience of Tolkien fans, very demanding and attentive to detail.
Personally, the TV series is not falling short of my expectations, I love the choice of characters, some of which are the juvenile version of those in the first trilogy such as Elrond and Galadriel, long-lived lords of the elves but still far from discovering their powers in the TV series. The scenography and photography, rich in details, the costumes and make-up are impeccable, did not disappoint.
So at the moment I enjoy every single episode.

Ricordo bene il giorno in cui, assieme ai miei due amici, abbiamo visto il Signore degli Anelli - La compagnia dell'anello, il primo film di una trilogia incredibile e che mi ha fatto scoprire una passione enorme per le avventure di Frodo Baggins e dei suoi compagni. Dopo la visione del film, ho letto i libri di Tolkien, l'autore del mondo degli Hobbit e delle vicissitudini legate all'anello del potere.
Ho molto apprezzato anche la trilogia Lo Hobbit, che racconta in modo dettagliato le vicende antecedente, come Bilbo Baggins giunse in possesso dell'anello magico di Sauron che gli ha donato giovinezza e lunga vita. Il libro a mio avviso è più scorrevole e piacevole nella lettura, rispetto alla lungaggine, seppur apprezzato, della versione cinematografica.
Quando un paio d'anni fa seppi del progetto della serie TV targata Amazon, ero davvero molto eccitato. La storia prima dell'anello mi era per lo più sconosciuta, per cui fui davvero contento della notizia appresa. Qualche settimana fa, vidi il primo trailer e sebbene alcune polemiche lette, le premesse per essere una serie appassionante vi erano tutte!
Ho da pochi giorni terminata la quarta puntata della serie TV intitolata Gli anelli del potere, la storia si svolge tempo addietro ai precendenti film, prima ancora della guerra contro Sauron e la creazione degli anelli. Vi era timore che la realizzazione di una serie così complicata da trascrivere in pellicola e senza la regia di Peter Jackson, potesse facilmente incontrare il disappunto da parte della platea di fan del mondo di Tolkien, molto esigenti e attenti ai dettagli.
Personalmente la serie TV non sta disattendendo le mie attese, adoro la scelta dei personaggi, alcuni dei quali sono la versione giovanile di quelli della prima trilogia come Elrond e Galadriel, longevi signori degli elfi ma nella serie tv ancora lontani dallo scoprire i loro poteri. Non ha deluso la scenografia e la fotografia, ricca di dettagli, i costumi ed il trucco sono impeccabili.
Al momento quindi mi godo ogni singola puntata.
