Day Shift || Another Netflix production that I think is good

Day Shift, one of Netflix's new productions, is an action, fantasy and comedy film with a fun content.

Subject of the film

Bud (played by Jamie Foxx), who is in the business of cleaning waste such as bras, panties, leaves and dead squirrels from pools, is actually doing a side job, but his wife and daughter, who are closest to him, do not know about it. In financial difficulties, Bud hunts vampires and sells vampire fangs.

Yeah, it's a vampire film.

It has exaggerated action scenes like the high-budget film The Gray Man, one of Netflix's summer projects, and all of the vampires in the film have a good command of Far Eastern martial arts. The film's comedy comes into play in the staged fights and makes the film entertaining with exaggeration. The scenes that I say are exaggerated actually suit the film quite well. Although I found the scenes in The Gray Man exaggerated, I liked it. In this respect, The Gray Man film was the first thing that came to my mind while watching Day Shift.

Netflix must be pleased with the interest in such films, adding new ones every day. As a viewer, I have no complaints and I am grateful to the producers for the fun times. If I think that those who watch vampire films watch the Blade film series, you can see inspirations from Blade films in this production.

Although the comedy aspect is predominant, there are also bloody scenes due to vampire and vampire deaths. You can be selective about who you watch the film with by paying attention to this during the viewing. The biggest factor in ensuring the flow, which I find strange and funny, and in hunting vampires is the valuable teeth of vampires. The separation of vampires into species from their tooth structures and knowing which species they belong to can be interpreted as mocking some films as well as comedy. Although I liked the scenes and the processing and laughed, they emitted a momentary negative energy. Fortunately, since it did not stand out too much, it did not create a repulsive, negative effect.

Seth (played by Dave Franco), the union representative in the film, was able to stand out more than Bud, the vampire hunter, with his acting. The actor, who played two opposite characters in one body, turned into a coward at the beginning and a brave vampire hunter in the future. Of course, there was a factor that caused this, but I don't want to say this in order not to spoil your viewing pleasure.

If you have nothing to do and you have extra time you want to have fun, it can entertain you for close to 2 hours. It entertained me a lot and made me smile. I think you will understand what I want to say in the first contact with the vampire. I like Netflix's productions this summer more and for some reason I think it emphasises the action genre more. Even if it is not so in general, it means that I come across action genres more.

In the past, I was more distant from Netflix productions and postponed or avoided watching them completely, but since last year, my admiration for Netflix has increased. I say this not only for the film Day Shift, but also for their good productions in general. I hope it continues and better productions come one after another in the winter seasons.
