There are so many fantastic quotes in this movie. The one above I relate to a lot, working for somebody else will never be as rewarding as living for yourself. The moral of this story came at the perfect time in my life. This movie is a love story, one that seems to be wearing a mask that resembles a pig's face.

You really never know what you are going to get from a Cage film. Sometimes it is the most low-budget thing ever which turns a serious film into a comedy. There have been times where Nic Cage doesn't speak the entire movie. There is the famous Cage Rage that has spawned countless memes and is highly entertaining. He can do any genre and play pretty much any type of character you can think of. He will do it too, this guy loves money. One thing Nic is also great at, and it really shows in Pig, is making you believe that his character is a real person and not just an actor in a movie.

I do not wish to spoil this worthwhile film for you by telling you everything that happens. I urge you to watch it if you haven't already, see Pig for yourself. You may love it or hate it, but you will walk away from the film having important life lessons instilled into you.

Rob/Robin goes through a few phases in this film, which are separated into three distinct parts.

Part 1: Rustic Mushroom Tart Part 2: Mom's French Toast and Deconstructed Scallops' Part 3: A bird, a bottle, & a Salted Baguette

Rob basically doesn't exist at the start of the film. Then he attempts to join the busy world midway. Eventually, we learn that he has just been forgotten, but he does indeed exist. That is my basic way of putting Rob's evolution into perspective. He looks pretty haggard from the start, but that seems to be when he is the happiest. This is one of the filthiest characters that Nic Cage has played. Cage's Rob in Pig gives his nasty trucker Joe from Between Worlds a run for his money on who looks the worst.

The only other truly pivotal character is the Camaro-driving truffle hustler named Amir. His role is filled by Alex Wolff. I was mistaken and believed Amir to be Nat Wolff throughout the entire film. It turns out that Alex and Nat are brothers in real-life and look very similar. Their acting skills show some commonalities as well, they both are really great and keep me entertained. I think that the reason I like the Wolff brothers so much is that they remind me of myself, the same goes for Cage.

I had no idea what on earth a truffle pig was before watching this memorable film. I learned quite a bit from the movie, but after finishing it also did some of my own research. Evidently, truffles are some of the most costly ingredients in the world. The movie has something to do with cooking, no spoilers. I'd like to wrap this post up with a few last words about Pig. There are some desolate instances within this movie. It is during these moments that you are encouraged to enjoy the simple things that are before you. Rather than constantly wish that you had more of things that you do not need. Sometimes you can look like you have everything, but feel like you have nothing. Once you find something that actually makes you feel, nothing can stop you from trying to keep that very thing. Even if you must go to certain lengths which you swore never to do. This film has a really powerful meaning to it if you are willing to open up and give it a chance.
