Love is a beautiful thing, and when it comes along, it’s a phase that teaches us many things. That’s why every romantic movie that comes out leaves us with a valuable lesson and invites us to reflect by the very last second. The same is true of the movie Live in the Moment, which tells the story of two people who meet, fall in love, and have to face the challenges that arise along the way, however, beyond that phase, the film seeks to highlight how time, if not seized, can be wasted—the opportunities we let slip by and how difficult it can be to accept a past that cannot be erased—something that many have surely experienced.

El amor es algo muy bonito y cuando llega es una etapa que nos enseña muchas cosas y por eso cada película que se estrena de este género de romance, al finalizar el último segundo deja una gran enseñanza y nos invita a pensar. Eso mismo ocurre con la película Vivir el momento, donde es la historia de dos personas que se conocen, se enamoran y tienen que enfrentarse a las dificultades que aparecen en el camino, sin embargo, más allá de esa etapa y lo que busca la película es resaltar el tiempo que si no se aprovecha puede ser tiempo perdido, de las oportunidades que se dejan pasar y de lo difícil que puede ser aceptar un pasado que no se puede borrar, siendo algo que seguramente muchos han pasado.

The film is very simple; each scene draws the viewer in, making those basic actions—like a conversation, a glance, a memory, or simply being with the person you love—feel very real. It reminds us that we are human beings and that we all fall in love, but that love can also come to an end. Furthermore, the film doesn’t set out to surprise you like other genres do; instead, it invites you to enjoy that relationship, and that’s its greatest strength—highlighting that every day is also a new opportunity.

Another major strength is the main characters, as they’re two people trying to figure out what to do with their feelings while life continues to move forward around them—each with a different way of thinking and loving. Most importantly, it’s their honesty that allows everything to move forward. That’s why the film Vivir works as a romantic story in its vulnerable phase—and it’s there that it highlights how time passes, life changes, and we can’t always choose how much time we’ll have with someone; sometimes it’s better to erase everything than to leave a memory behind.

La película es muy sencilla, cada escena consigue que uno como espectador se conecte, logrando que esas acciones básicas como una conversación, una mirada, un recuerdo o simplemente estar junto a la persona que quieres, hace que sea muy real, porque nos hace recordar que somos seres humanos y todos nos enamoramos, pero también se puede terminar. Además, la película no buscas sorprender como en otros géneros, si no disfrutar de esa relación y ahí está su mayor fuerte, resaltar que cada día es una nueva oportunidad también.

Otras de las cosas que ayuda mucho son los protagonistas, ya que son dos personas que están intentando descubrir qué hacer con sus sentimientos mientras la vida sigue avanzando a su alrededor, donde cada uno tiene una forma distinta de pensar, de amar y lo más importante es esa honestidad que presentan para que así todo pueda avanzar. Por eso esta película Vivir funciona como una historia romántica que está en su etapa débil y es allí donde resalta que el tiempo pasa, la vida cambia y no siempre podemos elegir cuánto tiempo tendremos con alguien y a veces es mejor borrar todo, que dejar un recuerdo.

I really liked how this movie turned out, even though it was made a few years ago. Love is in the air every day, and that’s why, in the end, it leaves us with the message that we shouldn’t wait for something to end to realize how much it meant to us. That’s why “Living in the Moment” is about learning to be present while we still have the chance to do something we love and are passionate about.

Me gusto mucho el resultado de esta película y eso que es de haces unos años el amor está en el aire cada día y por eso al final deja ese mensaje de que no deberíamos esperar a que algo se termine para darnos cuenta de lo mucho que significaba para nosotros. Por eso Vivir el momento, es para aprender a estar presente mientras todavía tenemos la oportunidad de hacer algo que nos guste y nos apasione.
