linda de Movies & TV Shows estos día escuche hablar sobre una película recientemente estrenada en Netflix y me anime a verla sin saber nada sobre ella, no investigue previamente como siempre hago, solo me dispuse hacer clic y dejar que me sorprendiera la trama, no siempre me sale bien la elección, pero esta ves no me defraudo, y les hablo de EL ÁNGEL DE LA MUERTE, una historia basada en hechos reales.

linda from Movies & TV Shows these days I heard about a recently released movie on Netflix and I was encouraged to watch it without knowing anything about it, I didn't investigate previously as I always do, I just decided to click and let the plot surprise me, not always The choice turns out well for me, but this time I'm not disappointed, and I'm talking about THE ANGEL OF DEATH, a story based on real events.
La verdad es que no tenia idea ni cuál era su género, no le di mucha importancia a la sinopsis, solo me llamo la atención el nombre, se trata de un Thriller de crimen y asesinos en serie, y para ser honesta no se me ocurrió esa idea en ningún momento, por eso les contare un poco de que va la historia sin hacer SPOILER para que puedan disfrutarla si aún no la han visto.
The truth is that I had no idea or what its genre was, I did not give much importance to the synopsis, only the name caught my attention, it is a crime thriller and serial killers, and to be honest it did not occur to me that idea in no time, that's why I'll tell you a little about what the story is about without making SPOILER so you can enjoy it if you haven't seen it yet.
La sinopsis no da mucho para pensar, se trata de una enfermera abrumada que consigue consuelo en un nuevo compañero de trabajo hasta que algo sucede con la muerte de un paciente. Con esta corta presentación no se te ocurren muchas cosas al inicio, así que tuve que estar muy atenta a cada escena para poder entender de que iba la historia, lo que me hizo leer la sinopsis en varios momentos de la película.
The synopsis doesn't give much to think about, it's about an overwhelmed nurse who gets comfort from a new co-worker until something happens with the death of a patient. With this short presentation, you can't think of many things at the beginning, so I had to pay close attention to each scene in order to understand what the story was about, which made me read the synopsis at various points in the film.
Para iniciar tenemos a dos actores en los personajes principales que son muy conocidos por diferentes trabajos recientes, Amy quien es nuestra enfermera agobiada interpretada por Jessica Chastain, y tenemos al enfermero Charlie Cullen interpretado por Eddie Redmayne, algo que debo resaltar desde ya es que sus actuaciones me encantaron y eso que yo no he visto completo los trabajos anteriores de Redmayne pero se que las dos película que más recuerdo de él son Animales fantásticos y La teoría del todo, donde sus personajes siempre fueron muy dulces y amigables, algo que es totalmente diferentes a este personaje que interpreta en Ángel de la Muerte.
To start we have two actors in the main characters who are well known for different recent works, Amy who is our overwhelmed nurse played by Jessica Chastain, and we have the nurse Charlie Cullen played by Eddie Redmayne, something that I must highlight from now on is that his I loved the performances, and I haven't seen all of Redmayne's previous work, but I know that the two films I remember most about him are Fantastic Beasts and The Theory of Everything, where his characters were always very sweet and friendly, something that is totally different from this character he plays in Angel of Death.
La historia siempre mantiene un soundtrack oscuro y sombrío que te hace estar en suspenso durante toda la película, generando así un ambiente de algo malo va a pasar en cualquier momento, lo que te hace estar un poco alerta y atento de lo que sucede durante toda la trama, aunque en ningún momento hay saltos importantes.
The story always maintains a dark and gloomy soundtrack that makes you stay in suspense throughout the movie, thus generating an atmosphere of something bad that is going to happen at any moment, which makes you be a little alert and aware of what happens throughout the whole movie. the plot, although there are no major jumps at any time.
Lo que les puedo contar es que tenemos a Amy una enfermera y madre soltera que esta tratando de lidiar con algunos problemas y no sabe como afrontarlos y de repente aparece Charlie en su vida y lugar de trabajo para convertirse en una especie de apoyo emocional para ella en ese momento tan complejo que estaba enfrentando, pasando hacer muy buenos colegas de trabajo.
What I can tell you is that we have Amy, a nurse and single mother who is trying to deal with some problems and doesn't know how to deal with them and suddenly Charlie appears in her life and workplace to become a kind of emotional support for her. at that complex moment that he was facing, becoming very good work colleagues.
Todo va bien hasta que ocurre algo con un paciente que se encontraba hospitalizado por una reacción alérgica a un medicamento, tal vez si no conoces la historia de la vida real en la que esta basada la película, te pasará como a mi que no sabia nada y que tuve que llegar al final para poder entender todo el contexto completo, pero no quiero hablar mucho sobre este hecho porque te estaría contando todo y no tiene sentido.
Everything goes well until something happens with a patient who was hospitalized for an allergic reaction to a drug, maybe if you don't know the real life story on which the movie is based, it will happen to you like me who didn't know anything and that I had to get to the end to be able to understand the whole context, but I don't want to talk too much about this fact because I would be telling you everything and it doesn't make sense.
Lo que si te puedo mencionar es mi opinión sobre la película, me gusto mucho ese ambiente de suspenso que crearon durante toda la trama, es un ambiente que como dije anteriormente se mantiene y no cambia desde que comienza hasta que termina, es sombrío, con tonos oscuros siempre, se nos nuestra lo que es la sala de un hospital donde esta su personal y en especial estos dos enfermeros atendiendo a los pacientes en sus horas de turno por la noche.
What I can mention to you is my opinion about the film, I really liked that atmosphere of suspense that they created throughout the plot, it is an atmosphere that, as I said before, is maintained and does not change from the beginning to the end, it is somber, with always dark tones, we know what a hospital room is where its staff is and especially these two nurses attending to patients during their shift hours at night.
Podemos llegar a conocer el personaje de Amy tanto así que logras empatizar con la situación que estaba viviendo en ese momento en el que llega Charlie a su vida y le brinda un poco de apoyo y calma, pero cuando se trata de su compañero, no se tiene mucho que decir, algo que iras descubriendo a medida que avanza la trama es que guarda un secreto, pero algo que no se guarda la película es que es muy transparente, la verdad desde el inicio se asoma esa hipótesis de que Charlie esconde algo, pero no están seguros de que es.
We can get to know the character of Amy so much that you manage to empathize with the situation she was experiencing at that moment when Charlie comes into her life and gives her a little support and calm, but when it comes to her partner, she doesn't know. it has a lot to say, something that you will discover as the plot progresses is that it keeps a secret, but something that the film does not keep is that it is very transparent, the truth from the beginning is that hypothesis that Charlie is hiding something, but they are not sure what it is.
Luego de una extraña situación es cuando se abre una investigación para descubrir más a fondo sobre eso que esconde Charlie. Esta producción esta basada en el libro de la historia real de Charlie Cullen y Amy Loughren, fue un caso muy conocido en los Estados Unidos en la época de 1996 aproximadamente, una historia que yo no conocía hasta que llegue a ver esta película y que la verdad me sorprendió bastante y me dejó con muchas incógnitas al finalizar.

Y algo que quiero recalcar es que la actuación de Eddie Redmayne me sorprendió mucho, jamás me lo hubiera imaginado trabajando en un papel como este, hay momentos donde te transmite sensaciones preocupantes de que algo no esta bien con él, sobretodo como dato curioso que leí el verdadero Charile Cullen es exactamente como lo interpreto Eddie, pero como no lo conozco y aún no he visto ni un video sobre él no puedo confirmar que así sea, solo creer en esa actuación.
And something I want to emphasize is that Eddie Redmayne's performance surprised me a lot, I would never have imagined him working in a role like this, there are moments where he transmits worrying sensations that something is not right with him, especially as a curious fact that I read the real Charile Cullen is exactly how Eddie played him, but since I don't know him and I haven't seen a video of him yet I can't confirm that he is, just believe in that performance.
Tal vez no es una película para quien busque ver algo con acción o algo muy emocionante, pero si te gusta el suspenso, los temas de asesinos en serie, escenas del crimen, esta puede ser una buena opción para ti, en general y en mi opinión personal la película estuvo muy buena todo el tiempo que duro, tampoco te rompes la cabeza buscando una hipótesis porque todo te lo ponen en bandeja de plata, lo que te termina sorprendiendo y conmoviendo es la historia real y el trasfondo de todo.
