How are you? I hope everyone is well, considering that I am relatively new to blockchain (I opened the account recently) and I am even newer to this community as I came to it thanks to my daughter who has a few years on the platform, I feel the need to introduce myself. My name is Victor and I have been a film lover for as long as I can remember, since I used to go to the small cinema in the village where I was born and raised, so over the years I have seen many films, although I must confess that the ones that catch my attention the most are those that have to do with aeroplanes, however that does not mean that I can not enjoy a little bit of everything and for that reason in my first post in this community I wanted to talk about a film I recently saw on Netflix and I decided to watch it because it is based on real events.

Espero que todos estén bien, considerando que soy relativamente nuevo en la blockchain (abrí la cuenta hace poco) y soy aún más nuevo en esta comunidad pues llegué a ella gracias a mi hija que tiene algunos años en la plataforma, siento la necesidad de presentarme. Mi nombre es Víctor y soy amante del cine desde que tengo uso de razón, desde que iba al pequeño cine del pueblo en el que nací y crecí, así que a lo largo de los años he visto muchas películas, aunque debo confesar que las que me llaman más la atención son las que tiene que ver con aviones, sin embargo eso no quiere decir que no pueda disfrutar de todo un poco y por esa razón en mi primer post en esta comunidad quise hablarles sobre un film que vi recientemente en Netflix y que decidí ver debido a que está basado en hechos reales.

Amy Loughren is a qualified nurse who works in a prestigious hospital, unfortunately she is seriously ill with heart disease, although she does not report anything to the place where she works for fear of being fired, soon after she befriends the new patient who comes to work at the hospital, Charlie Cullen, she trusts him so much that she confesses her illness and he begins to help her, However, in the hospital where they both work, unexplained deaths of patients begin to occur until Amy and a team of experts discover that they are actually murders carried out by the new nurse, but what is most striking is the way in which he did it.

This film has a very interesting plot since it is a real-life event, therefore we will not see characters with exaggerated attitudes but rather natural ones, they are shown as ordinary people with everyday circumstances until the extraordinary thing that is the point on which the film is based, and even this is carried out in a credible way, it is noticeable that the scriptwriters made an effort to do a great job full of details that give realism to the film, on the other hand the performances were very good, and how not? Yes we have Eddie Redmayne who knows perfectly how to carry out this type of "misunderstood" characters
Esta película tiene una trama por demás interesante ya que se trata de un hecho de la vida real, por lo tanto no veremos personajes con actitudes exageradas sino más bien naturales, se muestran como personas comunes con circunstancias cotidianas hasta que sucede lo extraordinario que es el punto en el que se basa la película, y hasta esto se lleva a cabo de una forma creíble, se nota que los guionistas se esforzaron por hacer un gran trabajo lleno de detalles que le aportan realismo al film, por otro lado las actuaciones fueron muy buenas, y ¿Cómo no? si tenemos a Eddie Redmayne quien sabe perfectamente como llevar a cabo este tipo de personajes "incomprendidos"
On the other hand, another very important element to highlight is the handling of cinematography which is very appropriate, it maintains an opaque filter for almost the entire film, which generates an oppressive and even sad atmosphere that allows us to identify not only with Amy and her problems. personal, but with the serious situation of the patients, with the sadness of their families and with the frustration of the detectives.
Por otra parte otro elemento muy importante a resaltar es el manejo de la fotografía el cual es muy apropiado, mantiene un filtro opaco casi todo el film, lo que genera una ambientación opresiva e incluso triste que nos permite identificarnos no solo con Amy y sus problemas personales, sino con la grave situación de los pacientes, con la tristeza de sus familiares y con la frustración de los detectives.
However, everything changes when our protagonist feels safe and happy in the company of her daughters, therefore we see on screen a reflection of golden light on the characters that transmits peace to us.
Sin embargo todo cambia cuando nuestra protagonista se siente segura y feliz en compañía de sus hijas, por lo tanto vemos en cuadro un reflejo de luz dorada sobre los personajes que nos transmite paz.
It really is a film that I recommend watching at least once since it invites us to reflect on how fragile life can be and also about how much trust we can place in those people who are supposed to be there to help us. De verdad que es un film que recomiendo verlo al menos una vez ya que nos invita a reflexionar acerca de lo frágil que puede resultar la vida y también acerca de cuanta confianza podemos depositar en aquellas personas que se supone están para ayudarnos. The soundtrack plays an excellent role in generating intrigue and maintaining that disconcerting atmosphere that makes the viewer feel the anxiety that the protagonist transmits.

World building tries to be as close to reality as possible by showing how many organizations are willing to turn a blind eye to the most unpleasant events in order to avoid controversy and problems, although this may sound depressing, it is more common in the daily life than I would like, so it is a good idea to put it that way. Something that seems like an excellent decision to me is the fact of having a set in which shadows and dark tones predominate, this gives that sinister touch to the film that makes it clear that even though there are no demons or evil spirits, there are real monsters that exist. They lurk where you least expect them.
La construcción de mundo trata de ser lo más apegada a la realidad al mostrar como muchas organizaciones están dispuestas a hacer la vista gorda de los acontecimientos más desagradables con tal de evitar una polémica y problemas, pese a que esto suene deprimente es más común en la vida cotidiana de lo que me gustaría por lo que es un acierto plantearlo así. Algo que me parece una decisión excelente es el hecho de tener una escenografía en la que predominan las sombras y los tonos oscuros, esto le da ese toque siniestro al filme que deja claro que pese a que no haya demonios ni espíritus malignos existen verdaderos monstruos que acechan donde menos te lo esperas.

The plot is curious, from the beginning it is made very clear who the murderer is but despite this it lasts a long time sowing doubt in the viewer so that they question whether he is guilty or not, this gives it an interesting touch due to the doubt reasonable that it establishes. Narrativamente la cinta es consistente, progresivamente va develando diversos sucesos que tendrán relevancia como un todo más adelante, algo que me parece agradable es que la película le dé foco a los diversos problemas personales de la protagonista debido a que transforma el filme en un ¿Cómo reaccionaría una persona común a esta situación? Haciendo palpable el hecho de que es basada en hechos reales debido a que se siente como tal. La duración es un acierto, lo anterior se debe a que divide su tiempo entre cuestionarse sobre si el sospechoso es o no culpable, la complicada vida de la protagonista y los procesos que se siguieron para intentar atrapar al asesino, a su vez, utiliza inteligente algunos saltos de tiempo que encajan muy bien y que permiten desarrollar de mejor forma los diferentes elementos que tiene el filme.

El filme utiliza las situaciones antes mencionadas como punto de apoyo para formar la relación entre Amy y Charles, siendo está bastante congruente y agradable, todo ello constituye las razones por la cual cuando la protagonista inequívocamente se da cuenta de la verdad tiene un momento de quiebre que es muy bien trabajado, es fácil ponerse en sus zapatos y palpar la sensación tanto de traición como de miedo por el acceso que tuvo esta persona peligrosa a su vida. Individualmente el villano es bastante desconocido y desconcertante, en otra circusntancia consideraría esto mala escritura pero como nunca se justifica y solo lo hizo porque podía hacerlo le da ese toque frío, logicamente lo anterior también se sustenta en que es basado en alguien real y se busca mantenerlo apegado a su historia.
The Good Nurse shows a very interesting duality between people and nefarious organizations that are capable of carrying out and/or covering up the most unspeakable acts, and, on the other hand, it exposes a situation that any person could experience, which is the fact of having that doing the right thing even though doing so leads to countless possible complications and problems, being an interesting predicament that gives food for thought. It is for all of the above that it deserves 3.5 stars out of 7, this is one of those good stories that remind you that you have to be more afraid of the living than the dead.
The Good Nurse muestra una dualidad muy interesante entre las personas y organizaciones nefasta que son capaces de realizar y/o encubrir los actos más inenarrables, y, por otro lado, expone una situación que cualquier persona podría llegar a experimentar que es el hecho de tener que hacer lo correcto pese a que el hacerlo conlleve a tener un sin número de posibles complicaciones y problemas, siendo un predicamento interesante que da para reflexionar. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3.5 estrellas de 7, está es una de esas buenas historias que te recuerdan que hay que tenerle más miedo a los vivos que a los muertos.

Hace unos meses estuvo bastante comentada acá en Hive la película El Angel de la Muerte, de hecho, así fue como supe de ella, finalmente estos días que he estado libre de la universidad me senté a verla y les tengo una opinión bastante sincera como una persona que le gustan este tipo de tramas. Antes de adentrarnos en la trama, debo decirles que esta es una adaptación de una historia de la vida real de Charles Cullen descubierta hace más de 20 años.
El Ángel de la muerte, nos trae la historia de Amy Loughre, una enfermera que intenta sacar a su familia adelante y que sufre una condición cardiaca, ella se encuentra comprometida con sus pacientes y todo comienza a tonarse diferente cuando llega Charlie Cullen, un misterioso hombre que había pasado por varios hospitales, con él comenzaron a ocurrir algunas muertes misteriosas.
A few months ago the movie The Angel of Death was quite commented here in Hive, in fact, that's how I heard about it, finally these days that I've been free from college I sat down to watch it and I have a pretty honest opinion as a person who likes this kind of plots. Before we get into the plot, I must tell you that this is an adaptation of a real life story of Charles Cullen discovered more than 20 years ago.
The Angel of Death, brings us the story of Amy Loughre, a nurse who is trying to help her family get ahead and who suffers from a heart condition, she is committed to her patients and everything starts to become different when Charlie Cullen arrives, a mysterious man who had been in several hospitals, with him some mysterious deaths began to occur.
Debo decir que no tenía nada de expectativas con esta película, la trama realmente es sencilla y no es como esas películas dónde hay varios sospechosos y que toman huelcos extraños; realmente desde el primer momentos tienes al culpable y no tienes dudas de ello; solo te queda ver como hacen para poder comprobar lo que sospechan.
Los personajes desarrollados realmente de esta historia son dos: Cullen y Amy; debo decir que Amy es un personaje realmente no entendí mucho, se presenta como una persona noble y valiente, lo cual es cierto; pero no logré conectar con ella en ningún momento. Por otro lado, tener a Charles Cullen, una persona realmente rara,con evidentes problemas mentales y de quien realmente no se habla mucho.
Fue inevitable no buscar a historia real en Internet y encontre datos que no se colocaron en la película y que quizá hubiesen ayudado a crear matices en los personajes, aunque les comento que tenemos otros personajes como los detectives, los cuales hicieron su papel dentro de la trama, perseguir y demostrar lo que sospechaban. Igualmente, teníamos a la jefa del hospital, que realmente yo odiaba, se encargaba de hacer más complicada la investigación y solo demuestra que en ocasiones a las grandes compañías les importa mucho más el prestigio que la vida de miles de personas.
I must say that I had no expectations with this movie, the plot is really simple and it is not like those movies where there are several suspects and they take strange strikes; really from the first moment you have the culprit and you have no doubts about it; you just have to see how they do to prove what they suspect.
The characters really developed in this story are two: Cullen and Amy; I must say that Amy is a character I didn't really understand much, she is presented as a noble and brave person, which is true; but I didn't manage to connect with her at any moment. On the other hand, having Charles Cullen, a really weird person, with obvious mental problems and who is not really talked about much.
It was inevitable not to look for real history on the Internet and I found data that were not placed in the film and that perhaps would have helped to create nuances in the characters, although I comment that we have other characters such as detectives, which played their role in the plot, pursue and demonstrate what they suspected. Likewise, we had the head of the hospital, which I really hated, she was in charge of making the investigation more complicated and just shows that sometimes big companies care much more about prestige than the lives of thousands of people.
La trama se va desarrollando y van explicando cómo suceden las muertes de este asesino serial, pero, nunca llegamos a saber más de él, se hace amigo de Amy, así que eso lo hace más complicado de entender, porque por un lado asesina a sus pacientes y por otro se mostraba leal con ella. Algo que me gustó de la película es el tono que manejan, es decir, desde la historia, la puesta en escena y la música de fondo sientes que es una película de suspenso, misterio; realmente eso ayuda a crear un contexto en el espectador.
Finalmente, El Ángel de la Muerte, no es una película de esas que te roban el sueño, pero es interesante para aquella persona que le gusten estos temas, inevitablemente terminas averiguando la historia y aunque al final nos quedan debiendo una explicación a ciertos hechos, luego te das cuenta que en la vida real el asesino nunca lo dijo tampoco, es una propuesta interesante y que me gustó.
Algo que agregar a esta historia es que, si investigas los datos de la vida real, te das cuenta que fueron bastante apegados a lo que pasó y esto es porque Amy estuvo colaborando para realizar esta película con sus declaraciones; así mismo, los datos que cambiaron siento que no hace mucha diferencia en la historia, así que fue un buen trabajo.
The plot develops and explains how the deaths of this serial killer happen, but we never get to know more about him, he befriends Amy, so that makes it more complicated to understand, because on the one hand he murders his patients and on the other hand he was loyal to her. Something I liked about the film is the tone they handle, that is, from the story, the staging and the background music you feel that it is a thriller, mystery; that really helps to create a context in the viewer.
Finally, The Angel of Death is not one of those movies that steal your sleep, but it is interesting for those who like these topics, inevitably you end up finding out the story and although at the end we are left owing an explanation to certain facts, then you realize that in real life the murderer never said it either, it is an interesting proposal and I liked it.
Something to add to this story is that, if you investigate the real life data, you realize that they were pretty close to what happened and this is because Amy was collaborating to make this film with her statements; likewise, the data that changed I feel it does not make much difference in the story, so it was a good job.

I finally got around to watching this because I noticed that Netflix was already featuring multiple documentaries about this same story so I figured there really must be something to it in order to warrant the appearance of multiple 1.5 hour features about the same topic.
After watching it I realized that while the topic and the story is sound, this rather eventless story would have been better represented as a documentary rather than a full-length feature film.
I think this film came into being based on the recent interest in real-crime stories that was at least from my perspective, inspired by the popularity of the Dahmer series that was one of the best shows that Netflix has had in quite some time. The killer in question here, Charles Cullen (played by Eddie Redmayne) was a far more prolific killer than Dahmer or almost any other serial-killer but it involves some really terrible coverups on the part of various hospitals who, if the film is to be believed, helped to conceal that wrongful deaths happened on their watch, presumably to prevent wrongful death lawsuits.
The performances by the actors in the film are really good, including and especially Eddie Redmayne who actually acts a great deal like Jeffrey Dahmer, or at least the way he was portrayed in the Netflix special. Perhaps that was Eddie's inspiration.
The real life Charles Cullen is still alive and in prison and it is unknown how many people he has killed because the hospitals involved are not being cooperative, nor are they legally obligated to do so, in providing information to what patients he had access to. It's a pretty chilling tale when you look at the entirety of its parts but this film suffers from not really having enough material to make for an entertaining 2-hour runtime. The fact that they made the movie that long, and the fact that they focused moreso on other characters such as the investigators and Charles' friend, made the movie less interesting IMO.
There really isn't much action at all in this movie and there are only brief moments where Charlie is presented as someone that needs to be feared at all. He certainly isn't a physically intimidating character and his motivations are never really addressed in the movie at all but instead, the actions that lead to his eventual arrest and conviction. I would have preferred that they HAD approached the film that way but his involvement in anything including the deaths isn't focused on really at all in the movie. We are left to our own imaginations as far as this is concerned.
One could argue that this was done intentionally to shed light on the corrupt methods that hospitals use to protect their own profit margins even though they are dealing with the lives of patients in the meantime. Anyone that has ever gotten a rather heartless bill from a hospital that they cannot pay has probably felt some tinge of what this is all about and in that regard I applaud that they would focus so much on that aspect of it. That being said, it doesn't make for a very entertaining 2 hour showcase.
Get ready for a ton of talking and a bunch of rehashing the same information over and over again as you get a bit frustrated that things are not moving forward faster than they are. If this is a real reflection of how justice operates in the USA over such an event, it is pretty angering and probably something that the families of the victims continue to be angry about to this day.
Should I watch it?
I think that this one is a 50/50 split. I don't think you really need to watch it because you can get a lot more information just by spending 5 minutes reading the Wiki about it. However, if you want to get more frustrated about the health-care system that currently exists in the USA perhaps this will add a bit more fuel to your internal fire. If this film is an accurate representation of that in any way, it's pretty frightening. I know that I won't ever look at it the same way again but I honestly don't think I needed to spend 2 hours of my time watching a relatively repetitive sequence of events in order to make that happen.
Greetings my dear friends, I am very happy to be able to share with you a new review, after some days of work, stress and lack of Internet I had time to tell you my opinion about a movie I saw several weeks ago and that impacted me, besides making me think about some important issues.
My family was together and we spent a long time looking for a good movie that everyone could like, has it ever happened to you? It was a long time since we all have different tastes and between proposals, someone always said no or that they had already seen it, one of the proposals was made by my sister-in-law who mentioned "The Angel of Death", however, only I agreed with her proposal and it was not enough for us to watch it that night.
She made a brief sypnosis about the movie, since I had already seen it and that stayed with me because it caught my attention, so I thought this would be an interesting story to watch later. I usually forget everything, so I was surprised to remember it several days later with name and all, my husband has specific tastes, but he is always willing to watch a movie, unless it is about love, so I knew I could count on him to watch it and in fact he did, he watched it with me.
Saludos mis queridos amigos, me alegra un montón poder volver a compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña, después de algunos días de trabajo, estrés y falta de Internet tuve tiempo para contarles mi opinión sobre una película que vi hace varias semanas y que me impactó, además de llevarme a reflexionar sobre ciertos temas importantes.
Estando mi familia reunida pasamos un buen rato buscando una buena película que pudiera gustarle a todos ¿les ha pasado? Fue un largo rato ya que todos tenemos gustos distintos y entre propuesta y propuesta de cada uno, siempre alguien decía que no o que ya la había visto, una de las propuestas la hizo mi cuñada quien mencionó "El ángel de la muerte" sin embargo, sólo yo estaba de acuerdo con su propuesta y no fue suficiente para que esa noche la viéramos.
Ella hizo una breve sipnosis sobre la película, pues ya la había visto y aquello quedó en mí porque llamó mucho mi atención, así que pensé que esta sería una historia interesante que ver luego. Por lo general se me olvida todo, así que me sorprendió recordarla varios días después con nombre y todo, mi esposo tiene gustos específicos, pero siempre está dispuesto a ver una película, a menos que esta sea de amor, así que sabía que podía contar con él para verla y de hecho así fue, la vio conmigo.
I really like suspense stories, although I don't watch them all the time and this one promised to be a good one, so we got ready with some sweets and drink and started watching it. When I learned that it was a story based on true events, suddenly the movie became a little more interesting to me, I really knew that it would be an incredibly good movie, for all that it promised, plus it has the performance of actors who are pretty good.
This one, tells the story of Amy, a nurse going through some really tough times with her health, who in spite of that works a lot to be able to take care of her two young daughters, as she is a single mother. Things get a little better when a new nurse, Charles, comes to work with her, who is not only very efficient at his job but also kind and understanding with Amy, so he quickly becomes her friend and also her daughters' friend.
As Amy's illness worsens, Charles is by her side caring for her and encouraging her to hang on a little longer. Being by the side of this good friend is undoubtedly the best thing that has happened to Amy, so she places her trust in him and offers her sincere friendship in return, because Charles does not have an easy life either, he fights with his former wife to see his daughters and must move from one place to another to be near them, leaving behind countless jobs.
Me gustan mucho las historias de suspenso, aunque no las veo todo el tiempo y esta prometía ser una buena, así que nos preparamos con algunos dulces y bebida y comenzamos a verla. Cuando supe que se trataba de una historia basada en hechos reales, de pronto la película se volvió un poco más interesante para mí, realmente sabía que se trataría de una película increíblemente buena, por todo lo que prometía, además de que cuenta con la actuación de actores que son bastante buenos.
Esta, cuenta la historia de Amy, una enfermera que pasa por momentos realmente duros con su salud, quien a pesar de eso trabaja un montón para poder cuidar de sus dos pequeñas hijas, ya que es madre soltera. Las cosas mejoran un poco cuando entra a trabajar con ella un nuevo enfermero, Charles, quien no sólo es muy eficiente en su trabajo sino que es amable y comprensivo con Amy, por lo que rápidamente se convierte en su amigo y también el de sus hijas.
A medida que la enfermadad de Amy empeora, Charles se encuentra a su lado cuidándola y animandola a seguir aguantando un poco más. Estar al lado de este buen amigo, sin duda es para Amy lo mejor que le ha pasado, por lo que deposita su confianza en el y ofrece su amistad sincera a cambio, pues Charles tampoco tiene una vida fácil, lucha con su antigua esposa para poder ver a sus hijas y debe mudarse de un lugar a otro para estar cerca de ellas, dejando atrás un sinnúmero de empleos.
The tranquility and calm that this new friendship brings to Amy's life quickly vanishes when she notices that in the hospital there are countless recent deaths, deaths that have no explanation and soon begin to draw the attention of the authorities. This situation causes rumors of really serious accusations to start circulating around the hospital about her kind friend Charles, so Amy does not hesitate to make it clear that he would not be capable of harming anyone, because of the goodness in his heart.

Soon Amy is forced to learn the truth, as she discovers for herself what her friend was doing. An old college friend who worked with Charles at another hospital told her that when he left, the deaths stopped. A small hole in an IV bag showed that Charles had been putting insulin and other medication in them and when he put it in the patients, they couldn't resist it and died, so behind Charles there was a long list of dead people.
The movie has a really interesting story, obviously taken from the real life of a serial killer who in a slightly different way, took the lives of a lot of innocent people. Watching it just made me think about how unbalanced a person can become due to trauma, but also how someone who is seemingly full of gentleness and kindness can be capable of harming others for no apparent reason.
La tranquilidad y calma que esta nueva amistad trae a la vida de Amy se esfuma rápidamente al notar que en el hospital hay un sinnúmero de muertes recientes, muertes que no tienen ninguna explicación y que pronto comienzan a llamar la atención de las autoridades. Esta situación hace que comiencen a circular por el hospital rumores de acusaciones realmente graves sobre su amable amigo Charles, por lo que Amy no duda en dejar claro que el no sería capaz de hacer daño a nadie, debido a la bondad que hay en su corazón.

Pronto Amy se ve obligada a saber la verdad, al descubrir por sí misma lo que su amigo hacía. Una vieja amiga de la universidad quien trabajó con Charles en otro hospital le contó que cuando se marchó, las muertes cesaron. Un pequeño agujero en una bolsa de suero demostró que Charles había estado poniendo insulina y otro medicamento en ellos y al colocarlo en los pacientes, estos no podían resistirlo y fallecía, asi que etrás de Charles habia una larga lista de muertos.
La película tiene una historia realmente interesante, obviamente sacada de la vida real de un asesino serial que de una manera un poco diferente, acabó con la vida de un montón de personas inocentes. Al verla solo se me ocurrió pensar en lo desequilibrada que puede llegar a estar una persona debido a un trauma, pero también como alguien que aparentemente está lleno de gentileza y bondad puede ser capaz de hacer daño a otros, sin ninguna razón aparente.
On the other hand, doing the right thing is not something easy, sometimes we lose people we really love, as well as jobs or even our peace of mind, but nevertheless, it is something we must do, if someone does something wrong that is hurting others in some way, that person no matter how good it seems is not and should be handed over to the authorities. Especially if it is a person who has the trust of others in his hands to preserve his life or the lives of his loved ones.
This movie was interesting and the performance of Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne was magnificent, I really liked the work they did and it is a movie that I can recommend without thinking too much. Por otra parte, hacer lo correcto no es algo fácil, a veces por ello perdemos personas que realmente queremos, así como empleos o incluso nuestra paz mental, pero sin embargo, es algo que debemos hacer, si alguien hace algo malo que esta lastimando a otros de alguna manera, esa persona por muy buena que parezca no lo es y debe ser entregada a las autoridades. Sobretodo si se trata de una persona que tiene en sus manos la confianza de otros para preservar su vida o la de sus seres queridos.

Hello everyone, today I want to talk a little about a movie I saw yesterday, I had been putting it off a lot, and finally, I decided to finish watching it. I was interested because it is about something that happened in real life.
What is this movie? It is the story of a nurse named Charlie Cullen, who was sentenced to life in prison for murdering patients.

¿De qué trata esta película? Es la historia de un enfermero llamado Charlie Cullen, el cual fue condenado a cadena perpetua por asesinar a pacientes.
The story introduces us to a single mother (Amy) with two daughters, for anyone who doesn't know what the story is about, you would think that the story is going to focus on this woman but it is not, since we see her working two shifts and doing the impossible to support their daughters so we could say that they share the limelight.
La historia nos presenta a una madre soltera (Amy) con dos hijas, para cualquiera que no sepa de qué es la historia, pensaría que la historia se va a centrar en esta mujer pero no es así, ya que la vemos trabajando dos turnos y haciendo lo imposible para mantener a sus hijas por lo que podríamos decir que comparten el protagonismo.
Both Charlie and Amy are new to the hospital, but Amy had already been working for a couple of months longer than him, they meet and become friends, later it is discovered that Amy suffers from heart disease. Charlie and Amy worked the night shift, and Charlie was very attentive at his job, and helped Amy a lot, it is implied that this is how they spend several nights on their shifts, to the point that they become closer, like I said before, they become friends.
An important part of the story is when Amy has an issue and Charlie is present and she decides to tell him what is happening to her and in that she mentions that she does not have health insurance and that she must work at least one year to be able to access it. As we know hospital bills are very expensive without insurance. Charlie agrees to help her through those difficult times.
Tanto Charlie como Amy son nuevos en el hospital, pero Amy ya tenía un par de meses más que él trabajando, estos se conocen y se hacen amigos, más adelante se descubre que Amy sufre de una enfermedad cardiaca. Si ha habido una película de la que he oído hablar y de la que he leído muchas cosas por acá últimamente seguramente tendría que ser The Good Nurse y es que es una historia basada en hechos reales que involucra a un asesino en serie y a todo el entramado medico y de la salud, esos ambientes en las salas de emergencia o cuidados intensivos que tanto llaman la atención cuando los vemos ya sea en series o films. Tengo que decir que Netflix está logrando, no se como dado el historial de ellos, sacar buenos contenidos últimamente, de hecho muchas de mis reseñas han sido con productos de ellos porque la verdad y a mi criterio están siendo buenas cosas, pero, esta película entra dentro de esa categoría? - puede ser.
If there has been a movie that I have heard about and that I have read a lot of things about here lately it would surely have to be The Good Nurse and it is a story based on true events that involves a serial killer and the whole medical and health network, those environments in emergency rooms or intensive care that attract so much attention when we see them either in series or films. I have to say that Netflix is managing, I don't know how given their track record, to put out good content lately, in fact many of my reviews have been with products from them because the truth and in my opinion they are being good stuff, but, this movie falls into that category? - maybe.
Una historia que involucra a un asesino que aparentemente es la persona más amable que pueda trabajar en un hospital, una enfermera que además de querer a su trabajo tienes unas cargas en su vida impresionantes y un sistema de salud que en muchas otras series y películas han retratado como de las peores cosas que puede haber, acá lo vuelven hacer con la particularidad de que fue un caso real así que extrañarnos no debería tanto. Si sumamos todo ese el resultado que nos dará es una película que sin dudas nos mantendrá por lo menos entretenidos y a la expectativas de lo que sucede porque ojo, este caso de este asesino no lo conocía por lo que mi experiencia a la hora de estar viendo el film fue mejor ya que no sabía a ciencia cierta que iba a pasar. Pero bueno, hablemos un poco más de esta terrible y lamentable historia.
A story that involves a murderer who apparently is the kindest person who can work in a hospital, a nurse who besides loving her job has some impressive burdens in her life and a health system that in many other series and movies have portrayed as one of the worst things that can be, here they do it again with the particularity that it was a real case so it should not surprise us so much. If we add it all up, the result is a film that will undoubtedly keep us at least entertained and waiting for what happens, because I was not familiar with this murderer's case, so my experience while watching the film was better since I didn't know for sure what was going to happen. But well, let's talk a little more about this terrible and unfortunate story.

Cuando ocurre el punto de quiebre? - pues cuando se da una muerte un poco sospechosa de uno de los pacientes del hospital. Aparentemente había muerto por causas desconocidas pero la realidad es otra y es acá cuando se encienden todas las alarmas y comienza a avanzar una investigación por parte de la policial local con la finalidad de llegar al fondo de todo. Además de todo el contexto medico que cubre esta historia también hay uno investigativo y detectivesco que le da aún más cuerpo e interés a la trama que ya de por si es bastante turbia. Así que son dos detectives los que toman el caso y con la ayuda de Amy buscarán escudriñar cosas de la vida de Cullen incluyendo su pasado para ver si es posible conectar estas muertes recientes con casos inconclusos del pasado.
When does the breaking point occur? - Well, when there is a suspicious death of one of the hospital's patients. Apparently he had died of unknown causes but the reality is different and this is when all the alarms go off and an investigation by the local police begins to advance in order to get to the bottom of everything. In addition to all the medical context that covers this story there is also an investigative and detective context that gives even more body and interest to the plot that is already quite murky. So it is two detectives who take on the case and with Amy's help will seek to scrutinize things in Cullen's life including his past to see if it is possible to connect these recent deaths with unfinished cases from the past.
La trama en si es lo que es, no hay más. Con esto quiero decir que es sumamente plana, no se van a encontrar ningún giro inesperado aunque uno inconscientemente los espere durante toda la película y esto pasa por la sencilla razón de que es una historia real, no puede haber ficción en lo que al desarrollo y desenlace de la historia se refiere. Lo que si hay es una tensión en gran parte del film por par de cosas, todo lo relacionado con Amy que de por si es un cuadro bastante delicado y real, por el otro todo lo que tiene que ver con Charles en el sentido de que nuestra enfermera ya no confiaba en él, sabía muchas cosas de Cullen al punto de sentir miedo de su propio "amigo" lo que lo hacía una persona más misteriosa todavía y en tercer lugar por toda la investigación en donde se ve esa batalla entre un hospital que lo que hace es cuidar sus propios intereses y una policía un poco con las manos atadas ante la falta de colaboración.
The plot itself is what it is, that's all. By this I mean that it is extremely flat, you will not find any unexpected twist even if you unconsciously expect them throughout the film and this happens for the simple reason that it is a true story, there can be no fiction as far as the development and outcome of the story is concerned. What there is is a tension in much of the film for a couple of things, everything related to Amy which in itself is a very delicate and real picture, on the other hand everything that has to do with Charles in the sense that our nurse no longer trusted him, knew many things about Cullen to the point of being afraid of his own "friend" which made him an even more mysterious person and thirdly for the whole investigation where we see that battle between a hospital that what it does is to look after its own interests and a police with its hands a little tied in the absence of collaboration.
Caemos en el tema de la indignación, que uno sabe que esas cosas pasan, pero como en la mayoría de los cosas no es a nosotros directamente pues no prestamos mucha atención que digamos. Que todos los hospitales hayan volteado la cara y desentenderse de todo el caso por un tema de imagen e intereses es simplemente dantesco y nos demuestra que la medicina no es más que un vil negocio, la mayoría de las veces. Hay una serie que se llama "The Resident" la cual es muy buena que toca mucho de lo que acá vemos, esa doble cara de las personas que se suponen que están ahí para ayudar a los demás resultan siendo la piedra en el camino para que estos casos salgan a la luz. Todo ese contexto en este film es parte fundamental de la historia ya que fue lo que le permitió a Cullen actuar bajo la más grande impunidad sin ser visto, todo en silencio.
We fall into the issue of indignation, we know that these things happen, but since in most cases it is not directly related to us, we do not pay much attention to it. The fact that all the hospitals have turned their faces away and disregarded the whole case because of their image and interests is simply Dantesque and shows us that medicine is nothing more than a vile business, most of the time. There is a series called "The Resident" which is very good and touches on much of what we see here, that double face of the people who are supposed to be there to help others turn out to be the stone in the road for these cases to come to light. All that context in this film is a fundamental part of the story as it was what allowed Cullen to act under the greatest impunity without being seen, all in silence.
En lo personal nunca perdí las ganas de seguir viendo, aunque por lógica uno sabe cual será el resultado final de todo incluso sin conocer la historia real, la trama iba siendo más interesante conforme iba pasando el tiempo y la investigación. Creo que la combinación de esos dos factores hicieron que la película funcionara mucho mejor. Es un drama acompañado por una intriga de que algo va a pasar en cualquier momento, de que la historia dará un giro que no hayamos sido capaces de ver y eso es otra de las cosas de este film, esa sensación de estar esperando algo que no sabemos si ocurrirá o no. Todo fue grabado muy sencillo, no hay un juego de cámaras importante ni una fotografía ni tomas excepcionales y es que la verdad no hace falta porque el alma de esta película son sus protagonistas, las actuaciones que para mi son la verdadera arma de esta historia.
Personally I never lost the desire to continue watching, although by logic one knows what the final outcome of everything will be even without knowing the real story, the plot was becoming more interesting as time went by and the investigation. I think the combination of those two factors made the movie work much better. It's a drama accompanied by an intrigue that something is going to happen at any moment, that the story will take a turn that we haven't been able to see and that's another thing about this film, that feeling of waiting for something that we don't know if it will happen or not. Everything was filmed very simply, there is no important camerawork or photography or exceptional shots and the truth is that there is no need because the soul of this film are its protagonists, the performances that for me are the real weapon of this story.
Eddie Redmayne es un actor ganador de un Oscar, Globo de oro, BAFTA y pare de contar por lo que esperar algo bueno de su actuación es casi un hecho. El papel que acá interpreta creo que muy complejo porque es uno en donde los problemas psicológicos y de personalidad son complicados de ver a simple vista pero si miras con detenimiento algo puedes ver tras esa capa de humo que él se crea delante de si. Es un tipo calmado, amistoso, discreto y que su gran virtud es pasar desapercibido, de ahí la cantidad absurda de asesinatos que cometió, pero que a su vez es muy cercano con la gente que le importa, en este caso Amy. Hay una escena de él casi al final del film que paga toda su actuación, fue impresionante, la sensación que trasmitió al espectador fue tremenda.
Eddie Redmayne is an Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and BAFTA winning actor, so expecting something good from his performance is almost a given. The role he plays here I think is very complex because it is one where the psychological and personality problems are complicated to see at first glance but if you look closely you can see something behind that layer of smoke that he creates in front of himself. He is a calm, friendly, discreet guy whose great virtue is to go unnoticed, hence the absurd amount of murders he committed, but who at the same time is very close to the people he cares about, in this case Amy. There is a scene of him almost at the end of the film that pays for his entire performance, it was impressive, the feeling he transmitted to the viewer was tremendous.
Y bueno, que decir de Jessica Chestain, otra múltiple ganadora de premios entre los que están un Oscar, Globo de oro, etc. Cuando les dije que con solo leer a los protagonistas se sabía que el material sería esplendido. La actuacion de Jessica es muy buena, una mujer luchadora con todas las letras que siempre va a anteponer a su familia, sus hijas, por encima de su propia integridad física. Comprometida con su trabajo y con el bien común es una pieza clave en este rompecabezas, la cosa es que siempre vive en un drama por todo lo que le toca vivir y lo interpreta de diez. Hay escenas en donde realmente puedes sentir la tristeza e impotencia en sus ojos y es que la capacidad de transmitir es bastante única en ella. El casting es todo lo bueno de esta película.
And well, what about Jessica Chestain, another multiple award winner among which are an Oscar, Golden Globe, etc. When I told you that just by reading the protagonists you knew that the material would be splendid. Jessica's performance is very good, a fighter woman with all the letters that will always put her family, her daughters, above her own physical integrity. Committed to her work and to the common good, she is a key piece in this puzzle, the thing is that she always lives in a drama because of everything she has to live and she plays it tenfold. There are scenes where you can really feel the sadness and helplessness in her eyes and the ability to transmit is quite unique in her. The casting is everything that is good about this movie.
Le doy un 7/10 porque la historia siempre va en una misma dirección, si bien es verdad que existe un suspenso psicológico y un thriller medio enmascarado, en varias parte el acelerador baja la intensidad un poco. Esto no quita que sea mala ni mucho menos, es una historia muy interesante que recomiendo a todos además de que las actuaciones acá lo son todo, tanto Eddie como Jessica estuvieron increíbles, razón más que suficiente para echarle un ojo. Está en Netflix y dura un poco más de dos horas, les dejo el tráiler por acá abajo.
I give it a 7/10 because the story always goes in the same direction, although it is true that there is a psychological suspense and a half masked thriller, in several parts the accelerator lowers the intensity a little. He visto varias publicaciones acerca de este filme, parece que le ha agradado mucho a varios usuarios dentro de Hive y en esta ocasión quiero compartir mi opinión respecto a The Good Nurse. Si bien parece que muchos han escrito al respecto, cada quien posee un punto de vista y una opinión propia, lo que hace que aunque se escriba muchas veces sobre un filme en la misma comunidad, cada trabajo tiene su esencia propia y original. En mi caso, al estrenarse el filme inmediatamente captó no solo mi atención sino el de muchos espectadores, posicionándose entre las películas favoritas en Netflix en la región. Hablemos sobre este "Ángel de la Muerte".
Este filme estadounidense tiene características muy interesantes y que atrae al público en general, en primera instancia posee una historia basada en un hecho real, además, se mezcla muy bien el misterio y la intriga alrededor de esta historia, llevándonos a sentir algo de miedo por estar en una situación cotidiana como lo es ir al hospital o a un centro médico.
Ganador del Oscar
Una de las características interesantes de este filme es la participación del actor Eddie Redmayne, ganador del Óscar al mejor actor su interpretación en La Teoría del Todo, no es nada fácil interpretar a uno de los mayores genios de nuestra historia sin que los reflectores apunten bien al joven actor. Con este actor en el póster, que en lo particular disfruté de su película, que significó el premio más cotizado de esta industria, no dude que sería un personaje interesante en este filme. Supongo que es una característica que motiva a muchos espectadores a ver el filme, sin embargo, me atrevo a decir que no es la más significativa por la cual los espectadores oprimen el botón de reproducir en su pantalla.
La razón por la cual muchos de nosotros esta película despierta la curiosidad es precisamente la personificación de un asesino que discreta, pero que efectivamente le arrebataba la vida a los pacientes, bien estén en condiciones riesgosas o que simplemente visiten el hospital por una alergia. Este temor por un asesino silencioso y difícil de detectar en un sitio tan común como lo es un centro médico, a mi parecer hace que nuestra curiosidad se despierte, si a esto le sumamos las palabras "basado en hechos reales" el magnetismo del filme simplemente se vuelve insostenible para muchos que caen en la desesperación por saber lo que ocurre en esta trágica historia.
En lo particular, estos aspectos hacía que me interesara esta historia, el misterio sobre la muerte, ¿Cómo lo haría?, ¿Cómo puede mantenerse escondido? ¿Hasta dónde puede llegar la maldad de esta persona?, son quizás la mayor incógnita que nos planteamos tan solo al mirar el tráiler, sin embargo, existe otra pregunta que podríamos hacernos que sería sin duda más terrorífica ¿Podría ocurrir una situación similar en cualquier otro centro médico?, pregunta escalofriante a la que cada quien debe sacar sus propias conclusiones.
Esta es una buena historia de las que se van descubriendo indicios que van destapando de a poco el misterio, aunque sabemos ciertamente lo que ocurrirá tan solo al ver el tráiler o leer la sinopsis, no sabemos los detalles, allí es donde se enfoca el filme para aprovechar la curiosidad del espectador y mantenerla durante todo el metraje.
Así como en cualquier documental o filme de crimen, este se completa muy bien con la investigación y una pequeña sensación de conspiración que ocurre, dado a la falta de información o cooperación ante este tipo de sucesos, toda una mezcla de sensaciones muy bien conocidas por todos nosotros pero manejadas de buena manera en el guion.
Siempre he pensado que las historias de crímenes son un imán para los espectadores, sobre todo, cuando se mezclan diferentes factores como el suspenso, la intriga y el miedo de que en la vuelta de la esquina podría esconderse un asesino, en ese sentido este filme funciona muy bien.
Es evidente de que el filme es predecible, es una historia real y esperar un giro de 180 grados en la trama es inútil, a pesar de que por momentos todo puede cambiar, la sinopsis y el tráiler construyen el camino completo de principio a fin, por lo que el director debe adornar lo mejor posible ese camino para que los espectadores se sientan cómodos y atentos. Uno de esas características que agregan valor al filme se encuentra directamente en la protagonista.
Jessica Chastain interpreta a esa enfermera (Amy) que se hace muy cercana a Cullen, sin embargo, este personaje no es como cualquier otro que solamente se encuentra allí para desvelar el misterio, tiene sus propias situaciones y problemas que resolver, además de una familia que proteger. Su situación económica y de salud saltan a la pantalla como un comodín o un plus para hacer esta historia más atractiva, a mi parecer, funciona muy bien, ya que le imprime mucho suspenso a las secuencias, por momentos no sabemos si va a tirar la toalla o a desmoronarse frente a Cullen, esa sensación de que "no todo está escrito" radica en este personaje principal, pero llevado a detalles que funcionan como esos adornos del camino ya construido.
El filme es agradable, a pesar de que se encamina por una línea recta, funciona y mantiene la atención, es de esas películas con una historia interesante que se complementa muy bien con actuaciones y ciertos detalles en el guion que van agradando al espectador. Siento que es una película sencilla, pero bien estructurada para cumplir el objetivo de entretener al público.
Creo que es una película interesante que seguramente se transformará en uno de esos éxitos silenciosos de Netflix de los que muchos no hablara mucho por la escasa publicidad en contraste con la aceptación de sus usuarios. Aunque no es una obra maestra o una superpelícula, es todo lo que necesitamos para un momento de entretenimiento.
Sí, es de esas películas que se pueden recomendar a muchas personas por lo ligera pero entretenida que consigue ser la trama, una historia interesante y buena resolución, acentuando además que es basada en hechos reales. Para los espectadores que les agradan los crímenes y los ambientes hospitalarios en documentales o series, este puede ser un buen producto de entretenimiento. La recomiendo abiertamente.
I have seen several posts about this film, it seems that several users on Hive have liked it a lot, and this time I want to share my opinion about The Good Nurse. The reason why many of us are curious about this film is precisely the personification of a killer who discreetly, but effectively took the lives of patients, whether they were in dangerous conditions or simply visiting the hospital because of an allergy. This fear of a silent killer who is difficult to detect in a place as common as a medical centre, in my opinion, makes us curious, and if we add to this the words "based on true events", the magnetism of the film simply becomes unsustainable for many who fall into despair to know what happens in this tragic story.
In particular, these aspects made me interested in this story, the mystery of death, how would he do it, how can he keep himself hidden, how far can the evil of this person go, are perhaps the biggest question that we ask ourselves just by watching the trailer, however, there is another question that we could ask ourselves that would be even more terrifying, could a similar situation happen in any other medical centre, a chilling question that everyone must draw their own conclusions.
This is a good story, one that uncovers clues that gradually uncover the mystery, although we certainly know what will happen just by watching the trailer or reading the synopsis, we don't know the details, that's where the film focuses to take advantage of the viewer's curiosity and keep it throughout the film.
As in any documentary or crime film, this one is completed very well with the investigation and a small sense of conspiracy that occurs, given the lack of information or cooperation in this type of events, a mixture of sensations very well known to all of us but handled in a good way in the script.
I have always thought that crime stories are a magnet for viewers, especially when they mix different factors such as suspense, intrigue and the fear that around the corner could be hiding a murderer, in that sense this film works very well.

Jessica Chastain plays that nurse (Amy) who becomes very close to Cullen, however, this character is not like any other who is only there to unravel the mystery, she has her own situations and problems to solve, as well as a family to protect. His economic and health situation jumps to the screen as a wild card or a plus to make this story more attractive, in my opinion, it works very well, as it prints a lot of suspense to the sequences, at times we do not know if he is going to throw in the towel or crumble in front of Cullen, that feeling that "not everything is written" lies in this main character, but taken to details that work as those ornaments of the road already built.
The film is enjoyable, even though it takes a straight line, it works and keeps your attention, it is one of those films with an interesting story that is complemented very well with performances and certain details in the script that are pleasing to the viewer. I feel that it is a simple film, but well structured to fulfil the objective of entertaining the audience.
I think it's an interesting film that will surely become one of those silent Netflix hits that many don't talk about much because of the lack of publicity in contrast to the acceptance of its users. While not a masterpiece or a super movie, it's all we need for a moment's entertainment.
Yes, it is one of those films that can be recommended to many people because of the light but entertaining plot, interesting story and good resolution, accentuated by the fact that it is based on real events. For viewers who like crime and hospital environments in documentaries or series, this can be a good entertainment product. I highly recommend it.
Human life is often so strange, and in that same situation enters my reality, the reality as another human being. Each one of us lives anomalous situations, that's why hearts may break, distance may worsen and the world may disappear. I have disconnected simply to fall into this film, but the reason is that it enacted an anomaly, and made me see that everything is so perennial.

Cada uno de nosotros vive situaciones anómalas, por eso puede que los corazones se partan, que la distancia se agrave y que el mundo desaparezca. Me he desconectado simplemente para caer en este film, pero la razón es que promulgó una anomalía, y me hizo ver que todo es tan perenne.

A crime should always be stopped by any human being, but the reality of The Good Nurse simply shows how bad some people can be just to maintain their status, how many should die? Un crimen siempre debe ser detenido por cualquier ser humano, pero la realidad que desprende The Good Nurse, sencillamente vislumbra que tan mal pueden estar algunas personas únicamente para mantener su estatus, ¿cuántos deben morir? Al parecer todos los que fueran posibles, todos los que nadie desean observar, y todos los que no son capaces de levantarse de ese lugar de reclusión de enfermedades: hospital.
I must be honest, I had read a review of this movie before, but I also remembered that I read something about its adaptation some time ago. A silent killer? Silence is something that only cannot be expressed in words; it also cannot be proven or seen one way or the other.
Debo ser sincero, había leído una reseña de esta película con anterioridad, pero recordé también que leí algo sobre su adaptación hace tiempo. ¿Un homicida silencioso? The film is told from the perception of Amy Loughren, role corresponding to: Jessica Chastain, someone who possesses a disease that can take her life, but the most unanimous of this is the situation concerning social security, a constant struggle, a single mother and high working hours that end in the same point of everything: Nothing.

¿Nada? No se puede lograr nada si tu tiempo de vida se va agotando, nada puedes lograr si el oxígeno se va extinguiendo y nada puedes alcanzar si el mundo se convierte en tu enemigo al intentarte arrebatar la vida. ¿Existe algún rayo de luz? Parece que todo se ha apagado.
In this kind of situation we would all want to escape, in this kind of moment you would just want to hold on to something, and at this point that you would consider crap you would want to hear the right words: I am going to help you. Not that I went through such a situation, but that part of the movie reminded me of when I had to medicate myself for more than 3 years due to a brain irritation that occurred because of a seizure when I was one year old, it reminded me of the fact of the dizziness, the intense headaches, and finally the lack of oxygen; although it was not the same thing that happened to Amy Loughren, I simply felt identified.
En este tipo de situación todos querríamos escapar, en este tipo de momento simplemente desearías aferrarte a algo, y en este punto que considerarías una porquería quisieras escuchar las palabras correctas: te voy a ayudar. No es que pasara por tal situación, pero esa parte de la película me recordó cuando tuve que medicarme por más de 3 años debido a una irritación cerebral que ocurrió por una convulsión cuando tenía un año de edad, me recordó el hecho de los mareos, los intensos dolores de cabeza, y por último la falta de oxígeno; aunque no era lo mismo que le sucedía a Amy Loughren, sencillamente me sentí identificado.
Another factor that made me connect with this character is the fact of the way she struggles. Her effort, her perseverance and will to continue despite the fact that energy is running out for her. That's right, she has a reason why she has to keep the flame of her life burning.
Otro de los factores que me hicieron conectar con este personaje, es el hecho de la manera en la que lucha. Su esfuerzo, su perseverancia y voluntad de continuar a pesar de que la energía se va agotando para ella. Es cierto, tiene un motivo por el que debe mantener la llama de su vida encendida.

Another issue is the reflection of Amy Loughren's environment and life, her loneliness, I am learning again to be alone! linda from Movies & TV Shows these days I heard about a recently released movie on Netflix and I was encouraged to watch it without knowing anything about it, I didn't investigate previously as I always do, I just decided to click and let the plot surprise me, not always The choice turns out well for me, but this time I'm not disappointed, and I'm talking about THE ANGEL OF DEATH, a story based on real events.
La verdad es que no tenia idea ni cuál era su género, no le di mucha importancia a la sinopsis, solo me llamo la atención el nombre, se trata de un Thriller de crimen y asesinos en serie, y para ser honesta no se me ocurrió esa idea en ningún momento, por eso les contare un poco de que va la historia sin hacer SPOILER para que puedan disfrutarla si aún no la han visto.
The truth is that I had no idea or what its genre was, I did not give much importance to the synopsis, only the name caught my attention, it is a crime thriller and serial killers, and to be honest it did not occur to me that idea in no time, that's why I'll tell you a little about what the story is about without making SPOILER so you can enjoy it if you haven't seen it yet.

Para iniciar tenemos a dos actores en los personajes principales que son muy conocidos por diferentes trabajos recientes, Amy quien es nuestra enfermera agobiada interpretada por Jessica Chastain, y tenemos al enfermero Charlie Cullen interpretado por Eddie Redmayne, algo que debo resaltar desde ya es que sus actuaciones me encantaron y eso que yo no he visto completo los trabajos anteriores de Redmayne pero se que las dos película que más recuerdo de él son Animales fantásticos y La teoría del todo, donde sus personajes siempre fueron muy dulces y amigables, algo que es totalmente diferentes a este personaje que interpreta en Ángel de la Muerte.

Lo que si te puedo mencionar es mi opinión sobre la película, me gusto mucho ese ambiente de suspenso que crearon durante toda la trama, es un ambiente que como dije anteriormente se mantiene y no cambia desde que comienza hasta que termina, es sombrío, con tonos oscuros siempre, se nos nuestra lo que es la sala de un hospital donde esta su personal y en especial estos dos enfermeros atendiendo a los pacientes en sus horas de turno por la noche.

I had mixed feelings about approaching this movie. On one hand, Netflix still doesn't convince me with its proposals and the vast majority of the movies I've seen on the platform (and that are exclusive to it) have disappointed me. But on the other hand, this story featured two great actors, both Oscar winners and whose work I greatly admire.
Tenía sentimientos encontrados a la hora de acercarme a esta película. Por un lado, Netflix sigue sin convencerme con sus propuestas y la gran mayoría de las películas que he visto en la plataforma (y que son exclusivas de la misma) me han decepcionado. Pero por otro lado esta historia estaba protagonizada por dos grandes actores, ambos ganadores del Oscar y cuyo trabajo admiro mucho.

The Good Nurse, recientemente estrenada en Netflix es una historia de cirmen y engaño. En este thriller dirigido por Tobias Lindholm, con guión de Krysty Wilson-Cairns basada en la novela de Charles Graeber, se cuenta la historia de Charles, "Charlie", Cullen un enfermero que estando en servicio durante más de diez años en diferemtes hospitales se las ingenió para asesinar impunemente a los pacientes que se encontraban en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Hay quienes les gusta un buen thriller y quienes disfrutan las películas basadas en hechos reales. Bien, este film mezcla ambas cosas, con lo cual creo que puede satisfacer a muchas personas. Ahora bien, para poder dar mi opinión en esta oportunidad haré algunos spoilers (lo de que Charlie era un asesino es una premisa pesente en la publicidad de la película, así que esa información ya es de conocimiento público) que dicha sea la verdad no lo son tanto porque no se revela información secreta en la película. Desde el inicio sabemos lo que hace Charlie, el drama se concentra en cómo y por qué.
One of the things I liked about this film was the original English title because it can refer to Amy (Chastain) who is actually a good nurse, but it can also refer to Charlie (Redmayne) whose image is judged exemplary by her peers. He seems not only a good nurse, but also a good person.
Una de las cosas que me gustó de esta cinta fue el título original en inglés porque puede referirse a Amy (Chastain) quien en verdad es una buena enfermera, pero también puede referirse a Charlie (Redmayne) cuya imagen es juzgada como ejemplar por sus compañeros de trabajo. Parece no sólo un buen enfermero, sino además una buena persona.
I really enjoyed Chastain's performance. I think she's one of the best actresses today and I have followed her for quite some time. I found her to be a loving mother and a convincing nurse on screen. The same as Redmayne (although his character is somewhat bland). However, I don't know why, even though the acting is good and there are dramatic scenes, I got the feeling that they are both very great actors for those characters. Maybe it's because I've seen them do some really amazing stuff, anthology performances, but I felt like there are a lot of actors and a lot of actresses who could have played Amy and Charlie in a good way, without the need for Jessica and Eddie to be involved. Personally, I am more impressed by those performances in which one could not imagine anyone else playing the assigned role, who can imagine a better Forrest Gump than Tom Hanks or a better Abraham Lincoln than Daniel Day-Lewis?
Disfruté mucho la actuación de Chastain. Me parece una de las mejores actrices de la actualidad y la he seguido desde hace bastante tiempo. Me pareció una madre amorosa y una enfermera convincente en la pantalla. Lo mismo que Redmayne (aunque su personaje es algo soso). Sin embargo, no sé por qué, a pesar de que las actuaciones son buenas y de que hay escenas dramáticas, tuve la sensación de que ambos son actores muy grandes para esos personajes. I liked Amy's heart disease because it gives a more dramatic touch to the story (I don't know if it was true or just a narrative element) and I liked the fact that when Charlie is arrested and we know that he's later sentenced the central dilemma of the whole story remains a mystery. Someone who from the advantage of his position abuses the defenseless (Charlie is a nurse, works in the Intensive Care Unit and takes advantage of his power over patients to murder them) must have a motive. Or at least we think so. The first thing that intrigues us is how he does it. And that's quickly answered in the movie, but then the real question arises, why? why does a nurse kill the people he's supposed to save? Does he choose his victims? is it a random process? What motivates Charlie to do what he does? We think that at some point someone will explain it, but the movie ends and the question remains.
Me gustó la cardiopatía de Amy porque le da un toque más dramático a la historia (no sé si fue cierto o es un elemento narrativo solamente) y me gustó el hecho de que cuando Charlie es apresado y sabemos que luego es sentenciado el dilema central de toda la historia permanezca como un misterio. Alguien que desde la ventaja de su posición abusa del indefenso (Charlie es enfermero, trabaja en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos y aprovecha su poder sobre los pacientes para asesinarlos) tiene que tener un motivo. O al menos eso pensamos. Lo primero que nos intriga es cómo lo hace. Y eso es respondido rápidamente en la película, pero luego surge la verdadera duda, ¿por qué? ¿por qué un enfermero mata a las personas que se supone debe salvar? ¿elige a sus víctimas? ¿es un proceso aleatorio? ¿qué motiva a Charlie a hacer lo que hace? And I like that because the human soul is a mystery. Just like the mind. There isn't always a why and we don't always know why, even when it comes to ourselves. Pero de algo si se puede estar muy seguro y es que hay que tener más miedo a los vivos que a los muertos, y esta nueva película de Netflix The Good Nurse así lo demuestra, donde vemos de cerca la vida de Charles Cullen uno de los asesinos en serie más metales de la historia, a quien se le atribuyen aproximadamente más de 400 asesinatos.

¿Porque comienzo hablando del miedo que tienen las personas a los muertos y las leyendas o cuentos que de esto se genera? porque es cierto, yo he conocido personas que se gastaban un dineral en amuletos, imágenes protectoras, ritos y demás cosas, para protegerse de los muertos y los espíritus, pero nunca compraron un buen sistema de seguridad para su casa o nunca fueron prudentes para salir a la calle, y bueno a algunos de ellos no los mato un muerto o un espíritu sino una persona viva con una pistola o un puñal para robarlo.
Y es que los vivos tienen pensamientos y emociones que no conocemos y eso es lo que causa mayor peligro, el que tu no conozcas lo que piensa una persona hace que tu vida corra peligro. Claro no estoy diciendo que hay que encerrarse en una burbuja y no salir de la casa. Pero si hay que tener en cuenta que no son los muertos los que nos hacen daño, son las personas vivas y sus malas intenciones. Y como podrás ver en la película The Good Nurse o el ángel de la muerte para Latinoamérica, esto es así. Ya que, aunque el protagonista Cullen mato a muchas personas, los empleadores y compañeros de trabajo nunca sospecharon que Charlie Cullen era un asesino serial muy peligroso. Y es que, aunque por fuera parecía un buen tipo preocupado por sus amigos y pacientes, la verdad es que era alguien malvado con malas intenciones y deseos que lo consumían y empujaban al mal.
I watched this movie on Saturday night, after my wife and I had a good marathon of Star Wars The Bad Batch and Star Wars Tales of a Jedi, since we had nothing to do and since we were not sleepy at all because of the flu meds, we decided to watch a movie from these new Netflix recommendations to see how it was, I had previously read on the BBC about the new Netflix success story The Angel of Death of a nurse who became famous for reporting her friend who was a murderer. And since the crime and suspense genre appeals to me, I gave this movie a chance (since I was coming extremely disappointed from watching The Stranger movie but I'll talk about that later).
The plot of the movie is something we could all relate to, as we see Amy Logren a nurse who is a single mother struggling with life to keep her family afloat while at the same time suffering from a severe chronic illness that is about to kill her. Amy works very hard, as she needs to meet the minimum seniority requirement to qualify for health insurance so she doesn't have to keep paying for expensive visits and expensive treatment. While Amy struggles to stay alive, a new patient, Charles Cullen, arrives at the hospital where she works, a kind and friendly man who quickly befriends Amy, as they talk and support each other to try to cope with the day to day.
Yo vi esta película el sábado por la noche, luego de que mi esposa y yo nos dimos un buen maratón de Star Wars The Bad Batch y Star Wars Tales of a Jedi, como no teníamos nada que hacer y como no teníamos nada de sueño por las medicinas para la gripe, decidimos ver una película de estas nuevas recomendaciones de Netflix para ver que tal, yo previamente a eso había leído en la BBC sobre la nueva y exitosa historia de Netflix El Ángel de la Muerte de una enfermera que se hizo famosa por denunciar a su amigo que era un asesino. Y como el género de crimen y suspenso me gusta, le di una oportunidad a esta película (ya que venía sumamente decepcionado de ver la película The Stranger pero hablare de eso luego).
La trama de la película es algo con lo que todos pudiéramos identificarnos, ya que vemos a Amy Logren una enfermera que es madre soltera y que lucha con la vida para mantener a flote a su familia mientras que al mismo tiempo padece una enfermedad crónica severa que esta apunto de matarla. Amy trabaja muy duro, ya que necesita lograr el requisito mínimo de antigüedad para optar por el seguro médico y así no tener que seguir pagando consultas costosas y tratamiento muy caro. Mientras Amy lucha por mantenerse viva, llega al hospital donde trabaja un nuevo enfermado Charles Cullen, un amable y simpático hombre que rápidamente se gana la amistad de Amy, ya que conversan y se apoyan para tratar de sobrellevar el día a día.
But out of nowhere, several hospital patients who were not there for serious causes begin to die suddenly and violently suffering heart attacks, no one suspects anything and believe that everything has been by chance. Speaking of the plot, the main actors are Eddie Redmayne who is Charlie Cullen and Jessica Chastain who is Amy Loughren, the performance of Eddie Redmayne is fantastic, as it combines perfectly with the character of Charlie Cullen, his intentions, behavior, psychopathy among other emotions that Eddie Redmayne plays flawlessly. And he does it too since in other films like The Danish Girl and The Theory of Everything he gets so much into the role that it is very comfortable to see him in this film where he plays a serial killer.
Pero de la nada, varios pacientes del hospital que no estaban allí por causas graves comienzan a morir de manera repentina y violenta sufriendo ataques cardiacos, nadie sospecha de nada y creen que todo ha sido por alguna casualidad. Pero una investigación interna del hospital revelo que una paciente murió por causas fuera de lo normales y que tenía un medicamento que no se le debía suministrar, así que se acude a la policía, pero como el hospital se cuida las espaldas de las demandas trata de impedir que la policía busque la verdad ya que, aunque acuden a la policía no les dan la suficiente evidencia para investigar, así que Amy va descubriendo la verdad y ayudando a la policía a llegar hasta con dar con el asesino. Si quieres saber más te invito a ver la película te recomiendo que no te arrepentirás, está muy buena de verdad.
Hablando de la trama, los actores principales que son Eddie Redmayne que es Charlie Cullen y Jessica Chastain que es Amy Loughren, la actuación de Eddie Redmayne es fantástica, ya que combina perfectamente con el personaje de Charlie Cullen, sus intenciones, comportamiento, psicopatía entre otras emociones que Eddie Redmayne interpreta de manera impecable. Y es que lo hace tambien ya que en otras películas como la chica danesa y La teoría del todo se mete tanto en el papel que resulta muy cómodo verlo en esta película donde hace de asesino serial.
And if we talk about Jessica Chastain she also acts wonderfully, she even has the face as if she worked 18 hours a day, another thing is that I notice a little wink to another movie where Jessica Chastain acts which is The Help or crossed stories at the beginning of the movie when she gives a kind of kitchen to the nanny who takes care of her two daughters. Also, the fear and desperation that Jessica shows when she discovers what her co-worker has done is so genuine that you can also gasp and get your heart racing just watching her, no doubt she is wonderful.
Finally, it is really impressive how the film shows in a clear way the great hypocrisy of the hospitals in the Cullen case, since for 16 years and until now they never showed their faces regarding the great average negligence they showed by having a murderer among their nurses. They simply passed him from one hospital to another, they never made Cullen responsible for so many similar deaths in the hospitals or also for the great lack of specific medicines that were lost and they never opened an investigation because of the lawsuits that the hospitals could suffer. This gives us to understand the great power of the laws and how the only thing that really matters is the money for these health companies.
Y si hablamos de Jessica Chastain tambien actúa de manera maravillosa, incluso tiene la cara como si trabajara 18 horas al día, otra cosa es que note un pequeño giño a otra película donde Jessica Chastain actúa que es The Help o historias cruzadas al principio de la película cuando le da un tipo de cocina a la niñera que cuida de sus dos hijas. Además, el miedo y desesperación que Jessica muestra cuando descubre lo que ha hecho su compañero de trabajo es tan genuino que tambien se te puede ir el aire y acelerarte el corazón con solo verla, sin duda es maravillosa.
Por último, es realmente impresionante como la película muestra de manera clara la gran hipocresía de los hospitales en el caso Cullen, ya que por 16 años y hasta ahora nunca dieron la cara con respecto a la gran negligencia media que mostraban al tener un asesino entre sus enfermeros. Simplemente lo pasaban de un hospital a otro, nunca hicieron responsable a Cullen por tantas muertes similares en los hospitales o tambien por la gran falta de medicamentos en específico que se perdían y que nunca llegaron a abrir una investigación por las demandas que podían sufrir los hospitales. Lo que nos da a entender la gran podían de las leyes y como lo único que realmente importa es el dinero para estas empresas de la salud.

On the other hand, the living are to be feared, and the case of Charlie Cullen tells us so, and the same happens with so many serial killers who have done so much damage to people in history, none of them was dead when he killed a person.

Esto es algo que pasa en la vida real, claro en Venezuela o el sistema hospitalario de mi país, no sé si hay alguien que mate personas de la manera como lo hacía Cullen, pero si hay asesinatos por negligencia media muy descarados y que nadie investiga ya que no llegarían a ningún lado, debido a que el sistema de salud de mi país es gratis nadie se responsabiliza por eso. Incluso en los hospitales las personas mueren porque los que atienden lo casos de emergencia son personas sin experiencia o pasantes que solo hacen más mal que bien.
Así que si la película es una crítica a lo que paso en Nueva jersey entre los noventa y los 2000's tambien se puede aplicar a todo el mundo, ya que hay cosas similares en todos lados. Además, como mencione al principio de esta reseña, a quien deveras debemos temer no es a los muertos, ellos están tal como la palabra significa sin vida. En cambio, los vivos a ellos si hay que temerles, y el caso de Charlie Cullen nos lo dice así, y así mismo pasa con tantos asesinos seriales que han hecho tanto daño a personas en la historia, ninguno de ellos estaba muerto cuando mato a una persona.

The Good Nurse: when service to the patient is confused with service to one's own mind
Hello to everyone in the wonderful Movies & TV Shows community, I hope you are having a beautiful day!!! Today I want to tell you about a movie that I loved and that is this production based on a real life story, called "The Angel of Death", which differs quite a bit from what would be the translation of the original title "The Good Nurse" (this would be The Good Nurse, or the Good Nurse, but I estimate that this was not used because in this case we are facing two nurses, and could misinterpret the title of the film).
The point is that we have two great actors here: Jessica Chastain, winner of the Oscar for Best Actress in The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Eddie Reydmane, the latter winner of an Oscar for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking himself in the film: "The Theory of Everything", one of my favorites (both actors have also been nominated and awarded on more occasions).
The two play two nurses who work in intensive care in a hospital, being Charlie, a new employee of the hospital.
El Ángel de la Muerte: cuando el servicio al paciente se confunde con el servicio a la propia mente
Hola a todos en la maravillosa comunidad de Movies & TV Shows, espero que estén teniendo un hermoso día!! Hoy les quiero hablar de una película que me encantó y que es esta producción basada en una historia de la vida real, llamada “El Ángel de la Muerte”, que difiere bastante de lo que sería la traducción del título original “The Good Nurse” (esto sería El Buen Enfermero, o la Buena Enfermera, pero estimo que no se usó esto porque en este caso estamos ante dos enfermeros, y podría malinterpretarse el título de la película).
La cuestión es que tenemos a dos grandes actores por aquí: a Jessica Chastain, ganadora del Oscar a la mejor actriz en Los ojos de Tammy Faye y a Eddie Reydmane, este último ganador de un premio Oscar por su interpretación del mismísimo Stephen Hawking en la película: “La Teoría del Todo”, una de mis preferidas (igualmente ambos actores han sido nominados y premiados en más ocasiones).
Los dos interpretan a dos enfermeros que trabajan en terapia intensiva en un hospital, siendo Charlie, un empleado nuevo del nosocomio.
Charlie is a sweetheart, an excellent on-call companion and a very respectful professional with his patients, since he listens to them, accompanies them, and is always looking out for them; and Amy is equally committed to those who are hospitalized and their families.
The issue is that Amy's personal and family situation is delicate since she has two small daughters and she takes care of them alone, being a nurse with a complicated work schedule and timetable considering that she was in charge of two girls. But in addition to this, Amy begins to show symptoms of a heart condition that automatically positions her as a potential heart attack victim. Amy needs urgent surgery, but she doesn't have the money to pay for the high cost of such an intervention and she still can't access medical insurance because she has to work there for a year, and that's 4 months away (she was also somewhat new to the hospital).
In view of this, Charlie, who realizes that something was wrong with his partner, offers her his support and company.
Charlie es un amor, un excelente compañero de guardia y un profesional muy respetuoso con sus pacientes, ya que los escucha, los acompaña, está pendiente de ellos de manera permanente; y Amy es igual de comprometida con quienes están internados y con las familias de los mismos.
El tema es que la situación personal y familiar d eAmy es delicada ya que tiene dos hijas pequeñas y ella las cuida sola, siendo una enfermera con una carga horaria y horario laboral complicados considerando que estaba a cargo de dos niñas. Pero a esto se le suma que Amy empieza a presentar síntomas de una enfermedad del corazón que la posiciona automáticamente como potencial víctima de un infarto. Amy necesita una cirugía urgente, pero no tiene el dinero para costear el altísimo costo de tal intervención y no puede aún acceder al seguro médico porque tiene que cumplir un año trabajando allí, y faltan 4 meses para eso (ella también era algo nueva en ese hospital).
Ante esto, Charlie, que se da cuenta de que algo andaba mal con su compañera, le brinda su apoyo y compañía.
So far so perfect! The issue is that in the hospital, patients begin to die in that therapy, in the shifts of these nurses, and they find, in one of the bodies, insulin, something that should not have been in that patient.
This opens the door to a broader investigation, which leads to a reality that is quite shocking when it comes to health personnel.
I won't tell you more about the plot, because I know that sometimes I explain too much and for those who haven't seen the series or movie yet, it can be annoying, heh. But let's move on to my opinion.
Hasta aquí todo perfecto! El tema es que en el hospital, empiezan a fallecer pacientes en esa terapia, en los turnos de estos enfermeros, y encuentran, en uno de los cuerpos, insulina, algo que no debía estar en esa paciente.
Esto abre la puerta a una investigación más amplia, que conduce a una realidad bastante impactante tratándose de personal de salud.
No les contaré más sobre la trama, porque sé que a veces explico demasiado y para quien no ha visto aún la serie o película, puede ser molesto, je. Pero paseoms a mi opinión.
Impeccable! While I know that some may tell me that they were left with a little taste because it's like the suspense at no time reaches desperate levels, I have to say that, although a little bit I do think that, the movie is great.
These two actors together seem to me to be a great idea, as they are both very good, and in this case, Eddie's performance deserves great recognition. The ability to embody this real life person (once again!) and manage to be moved by his actions and then leave us with a kind of whirlwind of emotions, is unique.
Anyway, it seems to me, I mean, literally just gives me the feeling, that great actors for some reason don't give their best when it comes to Netflix productions. These two actors are really TREMENDOUS, their performances have been very good, but here, again... I'm left with a little bit of a taste of nothing.
¿Qué me pareció?
Impecable!! Si bien sé que algunos pueden decirme que se quedaron con gusto a poco porque es como que el suspenso en ningún momento llega a niveles desesperantes, yo tengo que decir que, aunque un poquito sí pienso eso, la película es genial.
Estos dos actores juntos me parecen una gran idea, ya que ambos son muy buenos, y en este caso, la actuación de Eddie merece un gran reconocimiento. La capacidad de encarnar a esta persona de la vida real (una vez más!) y lograr enternecerse con sus actos para luego dejarnos con una especie de remolino de emociones, es única.
De todos modos, me parece, o sea, literalmente solo me da la sensación, de que los grandes actores por algún motivo no dan lo mejor de ellos cuando se trata de producciones para Netflix. Estos dos actores son realmente TREMENDOS, sus interpretaciones han sido muy buenas, pero acá, nuevamente… me quedo con un poquito de gusto a poco.
The film does generate intrigue, and I like that they show in some way how is the life of health professionals in therapy, as well as how difficult it is for them to find a balance with their families.
I also really like the fact that the protagonists are nurses, since usually this figure is somehow relegated, being the doctor the great protagonist of the health world, when in truth nurses do a lot of work (and sometimes do more than doctors).
On the other hand, exposing this issue seems fundamental to me, since we tend to trust "blindly" many times in health professionals and perhaps we should be a little more cautious about this.
In fact, yesterday I was talking to my parents about this movie, I told them about the plot and what ended up happening and they told me that last week in Cordoba, Argentina, this same thing happened but with a nurse who received newborn babies....
La película sí genera intriga, y me gusta que muestren de algún modo cómo es la vida de los profesionales de la salud en terapia, como ta,bién lo difícil que es para ellos encontrar un equilibrio con sus familias.
También me gusta mucho que los protagonistas sean enfermeros, ya que por lo general esta figura queda de alguna manera relegada, siendo el médico el gran protagonista del mundo de la salud, cuando en verdad los enfermeros hacen muchísimo trabajo (y a veces hacen más que los médicos).
Por otro lado, exponer este tema me parece fundamental, ya que solemos confiar “a ciegas” muchas veces en los profesionales de la salud y quizás deberíamos ser un poco más cautos ante esto.
De hecho, ayer hablaba con mis padres de esta película, les comentaba la trama y lo que terminaba pasando y me dijeron que la semana pasada en Córdoba, Argentina, pasó esto mismo pero con una enfermera que recibía a bebés recién nacidos…

Ahora si a lo otro que he venido. Anoche vi con @joalgusa una película que nos habían recomendado y que habíamos colocado en aviso cuando estuviera disponible en netflix.

El gordo y yo amamos las tramas basadas en hechos reales, y esta es una de ellas, bastante aterradora por muy sencilla que se pueda ver en la película. Pero incluso un tanto más mortal que la fiebre de Dahmer que por cierto fue un éxito en netflix, más sin embargo no estuve de acuerdo con esa película y la forma en que la quisieron proyectar pero no se logró.
The fat man and I love plots based on true events, and this is one of them, quite terrifying as simple as it may look in the movie. But even somewhat more deadly than Dahmer fever which by the way was a hit on netflix, more however I didn't agree with that movie and the way they wanted to screen it but it didn't make it.
En fin, hablando del ángel de la muerte, o de el buen enfermero. Creo que no hay ninguna película en la que Redmayne me deje con la boca abierta. Este actor sin duda alguna tiene una de las mejores proyecciones cuando se trata de ser una persona con diferentes personalidades.
Anyway, speaking of the angel of death, or the good nurse. I don't think there is any movie in which Redmayne leaves me with my mouth open. This actor without a doubt has one of the best projections when it comes to being a person with different personalities.
Si bien cuando esta en un ambiente actoral normal se mira bastante angelical, el punto de quiebre donde muestra lo contrario siempre es exquisito, magnifico. Y en esta película me dejo aun más sorprendido en la forma en que esquiva la rabia o los impulsos por siempre mantener todo en secreto.

As I mentioned before, it is a story based on a true story of a nurse who did atrocities in different hospitals and whose suspicions were never significant enough to stop him, until he is transferred to a new hospital where he meets a nurse whose life is quite complicated and somewhat tragic.
En la historia de esta enfermera se deja ver un poco lo injusto que puede llegar a ser los contratos de trabajo para enfermeros, donde tienen que cumplir cierto tiempo largo para poder disfrutar de un seguro medico, que a mi parecer debería ser en el mismo momento que es contratado.

La historia se desarrolla en los Estados Unidos donde una enfermera con problemas cardiacos que se llama Amy Loyghren se siente sobrecargada de trabajo a pesar de amar su profesión es cuando llega un nuevo trabajador llamado Charlie Cullen que se vuelve su apoyo tanto dentro como fuera de trabajo, la cosas se pone medio turbia es cuando surgen muerte misteriosas de ciertos pacientes, la historia es +16 aunque yo siento que la puede verlos personas más pequeñas por el hecho de que no hay escenas de violencia en sí.

Podemos hablar de los dos personajes principales una enfermera sin seguro médico, la cual a pesar de su enfermedad tiene una gran vocación y ama lo que ejerce por otro lado tenemos a un asesino que tiene la cara de yo no fui, Amy me pareció un personaje bastante admirable por el hecho de estar basada en una persona de verdad ya que ayuda al proceso de atrapar a Charlie a pesar de que era su amigo y su vida corría peligro, la actriz siento que lo hizo muy bien ya que no muestra a una mujer cansada que no tiene tiempo pasa sus hijas pero igualmente quiere lo mejor para ellas me sentí muy mal cuando le daban los ataques al corazón ya que se puede llegar a pensar que se puede morir en cualquier momento, por otro lado Charlie Collen es nuestro protagonista pero no puedo ver más allá de su amabilidad por si decirlo, nos muestra rasgos de psicópata es para los últimos minutos de la película, aunque para ser un asesino serial siento que como tal el personaje no me llamo la atención.

Hablemos de la película como tal hizo un trabajo, nos explica ciertas cosas a medida que va pasando los sucesos, a nivel cinematográfico tenía buenas escenas que daban intriga o miedo a nivel psicológico, lo único que no me acostumbro es a la paleta de colores ya que estoy medio ciega jejejej pero de resto todo bien, por otro lado la música se ajusta acorde a la escenas hubo una es especifico que me llamo la atención y está relacionado a Amy y Charlie.

Por otro lado llegando a lo último, siento que la película va enfocada a la negligencia de los hospitales donde trabajo Charlie, en como descaradamente ocultaba evidencias para no meterse en problemas legales importándole prácticamente nada la vida de los pacientes que estaban internados ahí y a las personas que fallecieron, no sé si seria de verdad los casos de victimas que presentaron en la película pero me conmovieron bastante. En realidad su enfoque estuvo más ahí que en otro lado, son más las escenas de los detectives que del mismo Charlie en acción porque prácticamente no hay, es más una crítica a la inexorabilidad de los centros hospitalarios que otra cosa, como dijo Charlie “porque nadie me detuvo”, porque en si es el único motivo que dar la película de los asesinatos, dándonos entender que se entregó a la justicia y está sentenciado a varias cadenas perpetuas, le daré un 7/10 me gusto el caso porque estoy estudiando en el área de la salud pero hasta cierto punto le hubieran agregado un poco más de drama al asunto porque me dio un poquitito de sueño a pesar de ser unos de los asesinos seriales que más personas ha matado en los EE.UU (400 personas).
