Yesterday I finished watching the new Netflix horror series produced called Marianne. It was quite good, with a good soundtrack, excellent shots, a very interesting story and more than remarkable performances.
This is the kind of series that people can easily binge watch because it keeps an interesting narrative episode after episode. However, having already finished watching the season and taking into account that Netflix itself promoted it as something super terrifying, I must say that it is actually more of a mystery than horror. Yes, there are scenes where an evil witch appears with good special effects, but it does not reach the same level of horror reached in The Haunting of Hill House (also from Netflix) for example.
Anyway, Marianne is an excellent series and it is worth seeing it. Especially for lovers of supernatural mysteries and horror.
