Ricardo Darin is a tremendous actor, that's for sure. But this movie wouldn't have been the same without the awesome performance from Javier Camara, this duo with good chemistry was able to make this drama movie an entertaining ride with touching moments and even some funny ones as well.
The main genre of the movie is drama, these 2 are friends that go back a long time and one of them is going through the most difficult situation one can possibly face. This is why his best friend decides to visit him and try to help in any way he can. They are the 2 main characters of the film, however, there is also a dog that will be a key part in the plot.
What we will see is how these 2 friends try to handle the situation by focusing on less important but more happy things. They have a lot of confidence between each other so the one who's visiting (played by Javier Camara) will be of huge help to his troubled friend.
We will see them going to a restaurant, trying to find a new owner for the dog, visiting a doctor, they even made a small trip to Amsterdam to visit a family member. I know this might not appear to be a very exciting plot, but have in mind this is a drama movie and the performances from these 2 actors were absolutely top-notch.
The dialogue and the situations were always very smooth, there was only one secondary character that didn't convince, the son of Ricardo Darin's character, but he only appeared for about 5 minutes so it was no big deal. Every situation usually appeared very spontaneous and as the movie advances, we can start to feel how the emotional intensity increases in the characters.
If you enjoy the drama genre, this is a very good film to watch. The sad part is something that happens to a lot of people. The movie explores the challenges when it comes to dealing with this difficult situation, both in the person suffering it as well as in their friends and family.

- I believe the movie's name is inaccurate. Truman is the name of the dog, but he wasn't the most important part of the film. The most important one was the strong friendship between these 2 older men.
