Ciao Steemians!
La trama é tutta qui, semplice concisa, quel che colpisce in questa serie sono alcuni fattori indipendenti dalla storia:
- L'interpretazione di Tom Hardy é maestosa, entra nel personaggio come pochi attori saprebbero fare rubando tutta la scena, é per me il caso di dire che a questo punto Tom é ad un livello davvero elevato ben sopra la media degli attori in circolazione.
- Il personaggio di James Keziah Delaney é studiato nei minimi dettagli e sa trasmettere emozioni forti, cupe, tristi, mistiche ed al contempo é di una saggezza e astuzia sopraffine.
- L'ambientazione é fenomenale, degna di Charles Dickens e i suoi racconti, una Londra fredda, perennemente nebbiosa e dai bassifondi lugubri.
- Costumi e trucchi davvero eccezionali, curato davvero ogni particolare, un lavoro encomiabile.
- La colonna sonora creata da Max Richter che é semplicemente coinvolgente per tutta la durata della stagione.
Uscita lo scorso anno sull'emittente BBC One per quanto riguarda il pubblico britannico e su FX per quanto riguarda quello americano.Per ora soltanto una stagione dunque composta da 8 episodi davvero coinvolgenti dal primo all'ultimo minuto nonostante i ritmi siano abbastanza lenti e riflessivi, poca azione e zero effetti speciali, ma quando la produzione é di un certo livello tutto cade in secondo piano lasciando spazio a ciò che é davvero importante ed essenziale. In arrivo la seconda serie nel 2018, lo scorso anno é partita i primi di Gennaio, questa volta tocca aspettare ancora un po' ma dall'intervista a Steven Knight qualche giorno fa' l'annuncio dovrebbe essere imminente.

The plot is all here, simple and short, what affect in this series are other factors independent of the story:
- The interpretation of Tom Hardy is majestic, he enters the character as few actors could do stealing the spotlight, it is for me the case to say that at this point Tom is at a really high level well above the average of the actors in circulation.
- The character of James Keziah Delaney is studied in details and knows how to give strong emotions, dark, sad, mystical and at the same time an amazing wisdom and cunning.
- The setting is phenomenal, worthy of Charles Dickens and his stories, a cold London, perennially foggy and gloomy suburbs.
- Truly exceptional costumes and make-up, really taken care of every detail, a excellent job.
- The soundtrack created by Max Richter that is simply engaging for the duration of the season.
Release last year on the broadcaster BBC One for British public and on FX for Americans. For now just a season consisting of 8 episodes that are really entertaining from the first to the last minute despite the rhythms being slow and reflexive, not too much action scene and no special effects, but when the production is on a certain level everything falls into the background, leaving space for what is really important and essential. The second series is coming in 2018, last year it started in early January, this time we have to wait a little longer but from this interview to Steven Knight a few days ago the announcement should be imminent.
