Cómo saben me he estado poniendo al día con algunas nuevas series que ha estrenado la cadena de striming Netflix. Algunas de las que ya he visto me han decepcionado pero llegó la hora de que Netflix se reivindique conmigo y los amantes de la tv. Esta nueva producción de seis capitulo está basada en la novela de Javier Castillo la cual fue lanzada en el 2020 justo cuando iniciaba la pandemia por el covid-19 momentos que fueron muy oportunos para que fuera uno de los libros más vendidos en el confinamiento. Ahora, nos transportamos a España, específicamente a Málaga. Si ya leíste esta historia debes saber que la trama original está centrada en New York.
As you know I have been catching up with some new series that Netflix has released. Some of the ones I've already seen have disappointed me but it's time for Netflix to get back at me and the TV lovers. This new six-chapter production is based on the novel by Javier Castillo which was released in 2020 just when the pandemic began by covid-19 moments that were very timely for it to be one of the best selling books in the confinement. Now, we are transported to Spain, specifically to Malaga. If you have already read this story you should know that the original plot is centered in New York.
No es raro que los libros en su mayoría sean insumos fundamentales para la creación de nuevas series o películas, pero esto no siempre es un trabajo sencillo ni para los directores como productores dado que aspiran a cumplir hasta la más mínima expectativa de quienes leyeron el libro y a su vez, motivar a aquellos que aún no lo han leído, corran a hacerlo.
It is not uncommon for books to be fundamental inputs for the creation of new series or movies, but this is not always an easy job for both directors and producers since they aspire to meet even the slightest expectation of those who read the book and in turn, motivate those who have not yet read it, to run to do so.
Todo ocurre cuando en una celebración local en Málaga, desaparece Amaya. Una niña de seis años que por un pequeño descuido de su padre Álvaro quien es interpretado por (Raúl Prieto). La niña Amaya logra desprenderse de él y queda atrapada entre la multitud desatando una urgente búsqueda de sus padres y una larga pesadilla que durará muchísimos años.
Everything happens when in a local celebration in Malaga, Amaya disappears. A six year old girl who by a small oversight of his father Alvaro who is played by (Raul Prieto). The girl Amaya manages to get away from him and is trapped in the crowd unleashing an urgent search for her parents and a long nightmare that will last for many years.
Conozcamos a las protagonistas || Let's meet the protagonists
Los actores principales estuvieron a la altura de toda la historia. En especial Miren Rojo quien está a cargo de Milena Smit. Una actriz que se ha ganado al público con diferentes producciones en las que ha participado y destacado. Miren, una chica reportera que sufría una terrible depresión por una pasada violación que tuvo. Debido a sus antecedentes, Miren decide tomar el caso de la desaparición de Amaya muy personal, lo que la llevó a descubrir una serie de sucesos que la llevarán a estar más cera de Amaya y de quienes fueron sus violadores. Una actuación admirable la de la actriz. Logró transmitir muy bien el dolor de esta joven reportera y la desesperación por ayudar a Amaya.
The main actors were at the height of the whole story. Especially Miren Rojo who is in charge of Milena Smit. An actress who has won over the audience with different productions in which she has participated and stood out. Miren, a girl reporter who suffered a terrible depression due to a past rape she had. Due to her background, Miren decides to take the case of Amaya's disappearance very personal, which led her to discover a series of events that will lead her to be closer to Amaya and those who were her rapists. The actress gave an admirable performance. She managed to convey very well the pain of this young reporter and the desperation to help Amaya.
La otra actuación que me pareció estupenda fue la de la madre de Amaya, Ana Núñez, interpretada por Loreto Mauleón. La actriz en cada episodio donde aparecía se sentía el sufrir de una madre, la desesperación, el sufrimiento. No se podía esperar menos de una madre que se encuentra en esta larga angustia por saber el paradero de su hija. Esta actriz no la había visto antes pero se ganó una gran parte de mi corazón por su actuación. Todo lo contrario de Álvaro, el padre de Amaya. Una actuación muy pobre, en mi opinión, debió dar más.
The other performance that I thought was great was that of Amaya's mother, Ana Núñez, played by Loreto Mauleón. The actress in every episode where she appeared you could feel the suffering of a mother, the desperation, the suffering. One could not expect less from a mother who finds herself in this long anguish to know the whereabouts of her daughter. I had not seen this actress before but she won a big part of my heart for her performance. Quite the opposite of Alvaro, Amaya's father. A very poor performance, in my opinion, he should have given more.

Mi opinión || My opinion.
Esta me ha gustado especialmente por cómo va avanzando la trama en diferentes escenarios temporales. Las contradicciones ante preocupaciones universales como la justicia, la honestidad, el amor a los padres, los hijos. La serie tiene un nivel de ansiedad muy bueno que te engancha, con sus giros y sus cambios de dirección no predictivos y eso, en mi humilde opinión, la hace una gran serie. La angustia de llegar al final y saber qué ocurría en verdad, fue interesante. Además, nunca esperaba ese desenlace. Que los secuestradores de Amaya estuvieran más cerca de lo que imaginábamos.
I especially liked this one because of how the plot progresses in different temporal scenarios. The contradictions in the face of universal concerns such as justice, honesty, love for parents, children. The series has a very good level of anxiety that hooks you, with its twists and turns and its non-predictive changes of direction and that, in my humble opinion, makes it a great series. The angst of getting to the end and knowing what was really going on was interesting. Also, I never expected that outcome. That Amaya's kidnappers were closer than we imagined.
No he leído el libro y creo que sí, seré uno de esos que correrán a buscarlo para poder leerlo y comparar las dos historias. Pero de igual manera, me parece que han logrado un gran trabajo. El final nos deja con un poco más de apetito, pues, dejan las puertas abiertas para una segunda temporada. La pregunta es, ¿podrán superarse, o arruinarán el éxito que han conseguido?
I haven't read the book and I think that yes, I will be one of those who will run to get it so I can read it and compare the two stories. But all the same, it seems to me that they have done a great job. The ending leaves us with a little more appetite, because, they leave the doors open for a second season. The question is, will they be able to top it, or will they ruin the success they have achieved?
