Hola amigos || Hello friends
Tenía varias semanas sin poder compartir con ustedes un TTT más y es que los apagones en el país se han vuelto una cosa mucho más crítica tanto que ha detenido hasta la forma de trabajar. La verdad es que se ha vuelto una de las tantas batallas que debemos soportar como venezolanos. Pero en fin, no vine hablar de política vine a compartir música así que para esta nueva semana quiero dedicarle este espacio a una de las superbandas más potentes y emotivas de los 2000 conocida como, Audioslave.
_It’s been several weeks since I’ve been able to share another TTT with you, and the thing is, the power cuts in the country have become so much more critical that they’ve even brought work to a standstill. The truth is, it’s become one of the many struggles we have to endure as Venezuelans. But anyway, I didn’t come here to talk about politics I came to share some music so this week I want to dedicate this space to one of the most powerful and emotive supergroups of the 2000s: Audioslave.
Esta banda la cual fue formada luego de la separación de Rage Against the Machine algunos de sus integrantes motivamos por Chris Cornell quien también había abandonado Soundgarden unen sus talentos para formar no solo un experimento comercial sino, una verdadera explosión musical. Todavía hoy, después de muchos años, son considerada una de las bandas más influentes del rock. Creo que el éxito de la banda se debe a esa combinación de elementos que aportaban cada uno de sus integrantes debido a su trayectoria lo que sin duda lograron un sonido muy original e incomparable.
This band, which was formed following the break-up of Rage Against the Machine, saw some of its members inspired by Chris Cornell, who had also left Soundgarden join forces to create not just a commercial experiment, but a true musical sensation. Even today, many years on, they are still considered one of the most influential bands in rock. I believe the band’s success is down to the combination of elements that each member brought to the table, thanks to their respective backgrounds, which undoubtedly resulted in a highly original and incomparable sound.
En sus seis años de trayectoria lograron grabar tres álbumes que fueron llamados (Audioslave, Out of Exile y Revelations) pero con solo tres álbumes de estudio la banda dejó una huella imborrable. Fueron incluso la primera banda de rock estadounidense en ofrecer un concierto masivo al aire libre en La Habana, Cuba y esto para quienes son fanes de la banda no es un dato Wikipedia, fue un hecho que marcó un hito histórico para el rock y Audioslave.
During their six-year career, they managed to record three albums Audioslave, Out of Exile and Revelations but even with just three studio albums, the band left an indelible mark. They were even the first American rock band to perform a massive open-air concert in Havana, Cuba and for fans of the band, this isn’t just a Wikipedia fact; it was an event that marked a historic milestone for rock music and Audioslave.
Creo que es justo que empecemos esta reseña para el TTT con lo que podríamos llamar la carta de presentación de la banda. Con esta canción dijeron presentes al mundo. Desde el intro donde el bajo y la batería emulan el sonido de un helicóptero hasta el riff aplastante de Tom Morello, Cochise es pura adrenalina y energía sin rodeos. Dios que emoción recordar esta canción y sobre todo este video tan increíble. Por cierto, no tenga pena por los vecinos pueden subirles a los parlantes para escuchar Cochise y otras clásicas de la banda…
I think it’s only fair that we start this TTT review with what we might call the band’s calling card. It was with this song that they announced their arrival to the world. From the intro, where the bass and drums mimic the sound of a helicopter, right through to Tom Morello’s crushing riff, ‘Cochise’ is pure adrenaline and unadulterated energy. Gosh, it’s so exciting to remember this song and, above all, this incredible video. By the way, don’t worry about the neighbours you can turn up the volume to listen to ‘Cochise’ and other classics by the band…
