People change, life is full of constant changes, being faithful to our decisions should not be an option. My husband once taught me that to love is a decision. A vow of love is a voluntary expression towards someone, based on a promise, a promise that must be based on our integrity and principles.
The Vow, also known in Spanish as "Votos de Amor", is a 2012 movie, based on true events. I like this movie and at the same time it makes me sad, but sad in a reflective way, because life changes us from one moment to another and in such different ways, that sometimes we let it go without taking advantage of the good moments.

This film begins in a somewhat contextless way, with a couple who love each other with passion and are happy to be together. As the tragic part of the film unfolds, where the protagonist loses her memory, is where you can begin to understand many things, but above all, you begin to understand the strength of love and understand that loving can also hurt, especially when you are no longer remembered.
Much to learn from El Voto, much to reflect on, it leads us to understand that it is important to forgive, but not to accept that others hurt us. It leads us to see that love, when it is real, is like a seal in the heart, that despite any tragedy, that promise to be not only in good times, but also to love in bad times, becomes stronger.

I particularly love Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams together, they make an amazing couple. To me, they convey passion, desire, love and therefore a lot of romance. This romantic drama, makes you think about what you would do if you were Paige and you lost your memory after an accident or if you were Leo, her husband and how you would feel not being remembered.
Undoubtedly, Leo is the one who has the most difficult situation for me, and although it is not one of those movies with a happy ending, it is comforting to know that at the end they leave open the possibility that there is a second chance. And when love is real, it is possible to love again.
The Vow, not the best romantic movie I've seen, but on the subject of the importance of love and keeping our promises, I give it a 10 out of 10.
