Maddie Young (Kate Siegel), a book writer with a peculiar problem, has been deaf/mute since the age of 13 after suffering from Meningitis. She lives alone in the middle of a forest because she wants to get away from her reality and her ex-boyfriend Craig. Having plans to bring out the next book Maddie tries to continue it. Her best friend Sarah (Samantha Sloyan) visits her on occasion and tries to learn sign language to communicate better.

Vive sola en el medio de un bosque porque quiere apartarse de su realidad y de su ex novio Craig. Teniendo planes de sacar el siguiente libro Maddie intenta continuarlo. Su mejor amiga Sarah (Samantha Sloyan) la visita en algunas ocasiones e intenta aprender el lenguaje de señas para comunicarse mejor.
Life seems to be simple for both of them, but neither girl knew that a serial killer (John Gallagher Jr.) was nearby. After attacking her friend, the man realizes Maddie's problem and decides to stalk her, tormenting her. As the night grows long for her with a killer trying to break into her home, she panics. Feeling trapped and with only the lock on the doors and windows for protection; Maddie will have to make a plan to get rid of her stalker.
La vida parece ser sencilla para ambas, pero ninguna de las dos chicas sabía que un asesino serial (John Gallagher Jr.) estaba cerca. Luego de atacar a su amiga, el hombre se da cuenta del problema de Maddie y decide acosarla, atormentarla. La noche se hace larga para ella teniendo un asesino intentando entrar en casa su casa, el pánico la invade. Sintiéndose atrapada y con solo el seguro de las puertas y ventanas como protección; Maddie tendrá que hacer un plan para deshacerse de su acosador.
In the midst of the fear and chaos that Maddie is living, she finds the courage to confront him a couple of times, although it doesn't go well. Wounded, with much more fear and unable to see a way out, our protagonist gathers courage from the deepest part of herself to try to win the battle against this rude man who will not give up so easily, his victim is so weak that he intends to finish his task once and for all and end his life.
En medio del miedo y el caos que está viviendo Maddie, ella encuentra el valor para enfrentarlo un par de ocasiones, aunque no salen bien. Herida, con mucho más temor y sin poder ver una salida, nuestra protagonista reúne valor de lo más profundo de si para tratar de ganarle la batalla a ese rudo hombre el cual no se rendirá tan fácil, su víctima está tan débil que él piensa terminar de una vez con su cometido y acabar con su vida.
What I like most about this film is that they focus very well on suspense, and the performances fit as well. Despite not being very recognized actors this film can captivate many viewers who love this genre, sometimes it makes you get into the plot and feel the same as the protagonist is feeling.
Lo que más me gusta de este filme es que se centran muy bien en el suspenso, y las actuaciones encajaron también. A pesar de no ser actores muy reconocidos este filme puede llegar a cautivar a muchos espectadores amantes de este género, en algunas ocasiones te hace introducir en la trama y sentir lo mismo que la protagonista está sintiendo.
While there are some things that are unfinished or unexplained, such as the killer's reason for carrying out his actions, "Hush " is a good choice to enjoy and keep you in suspense.
Si bien hay algunas cosas inconclusas o sin explicación como por ejemplo el porqué del asesino para llevar a cabo sus acciones, “Silencio” es una buena opción para disfrutar y mantenerte en suspenso.
