Watching this movie was kind of tough for me because I fell asleep while watching it and then woke up to continue. Probably because I was exhausted when I started watching, but still I shouldn't have slept when I started watching it. It took me four hours to finish watching it and felt like I wasted my time. Well, I will go straight to the point to further save you from too much info about the movie.

'The Lost City movie is an action, adventure, and romance movie directed by the Nee Brothers who also wrote the screenplay together with other people. The storyline of the movie was developed by Seth Gordon. The movie featured a few famous actors like Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Daniel Radcliffe.

The movie revolves around Loretta as a fiction writer who writes a romantic - adventure about a lost ancient city with Dr. Angela and Dash as her main character. So she got Channing Tatum (Alan) to be her book cover model and to represent her male character (Dash), who is the romantic interest of her heroine character (Dr. Angela). As the movie progressed, Loretta was kidnapped by a billionaire (Abigail, not a female 😂), who found the lost ancient city described in her book on a remote Atlantic island. 'Abigail' didn't just discover the city for discovering sake, but found the city because he was after a priceless treasure called the 'crown of fire' that is said to be located in the city and also to get Loretta to help decipher the coded language of the city.

Having kidnapped Loretta, Alan provides a plan of how to rescue her with her manager and social media manager by recruiting Jack Trainer, a former Navy to help him rescue Loretta. So Alan located Loretta through her smartwatch on an island in the Atlantic and had Jack meet him there. As Alan arrives at the island, the adventure begins with the rescue of Lorreta which was successful but did last.

Loretta and Alan escaped into the Jungle with Abigail's men after them. As the chase continued, Abigail caught up with them and held them, hostage, as he led them to the cave where the 'Crown of Fire' is meant to be according to the tales of the Crown. So now, did Abigail get the 'Crown of Fire'? Did Loretta and Alan survive? In the end, was Loretta rescued? Well, you have to watch the movie so I will not give you spoilers.

My Opinion About The Movie.

The movie was okay and entertaining with a little touch of comedy which made it to be a lightweight movie to watch at the cinema. I fell asleep watching this because it was kind of boring for me because the entire plot and storyline have been done recently in the movie Jungle cruise. What made me finish watching the movie after a 1hr 30mins nap was because of Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Daniel Radcliffe (Abigail 😂). These three actors gave me joy. I thought Harry Potter wouldn't be able to play his part (villain) well but he blended well with his part and portrayed his character well.

For me, Daniel Radcliffe stole the show. Without his vibe, I don't think there will be much comedy in the movie. He acted crazy and this character brought out and side of him in the industry. I hope more directors will recognize this talent and let him explore it more. He was perfect for his role, he gave actual laughable moments and he was unpredictable.

A mistake I realized while watching the movie was that there was no chemistry but Sandra and Channing. Their chemistry was dry and rigid. It felt shallow and I felt Channing tried his best to make the awkwardness they had during the film go away, but Sandra didn't make any attempt. Instead, she had chemistry with Brad Pitt which was wrong. Channing and Sandra are not compatible.

Rating this movie, it's 3.5 stars for me. The setting was okay, and the characters did well but there was no chemistry (Sandra and Channing). The storyline is a cliche kind of romance - an adventure story. It was a repetition for me. The action part was okay and I would recommend this movie for family comedy; a lightweight movie to watch with your loved ones. Also, I recommend the movie to you adults and adventure lovers. Is it me or is Brad Pitt aging like a fine wine? ☺️.

The movie is entertaining, however you are right the lead couple shows no chemistry whatsoever. It is a movie to watch once and forget. Daniel Radcliffe and Brad Pitt are scene stealers. Good review, cheers!

It was funny and cute and entertaining. I am not sure it's a movie I'd watch over and over again. I am like that where if I am tired I have to watch something that really has a lot of action to keep me awake. !CTP !ALIVE
