SO last millenium. Starwars technology is outdated. It indicates a gross failure of imagination.

Unlike the first one. The second one wasn't TOO bad...the third one sucked brown canal water. I haven't seen any of the other ones. I kind of lost interest in the decade or two between the third and fourth one. I've heard the fifth and sixth ones are even worse...

Now I know WHY.

It's because of US. According to the author of the article.

• Kennedy could have had these priorities(see the linked article. He's talking about political correctness) and created good movies. (I don't think so. PC sux) Instead, she didn’t. She created a bunch of goop. The Force Awakens is garbage; The Last Jedi is double-garbage. That’s because Kennedy had two choices upon being granted the helm of the Star Wars universe: (1) fast-forward fifty years, beyond the original characters, and reboot, losing the nostalgia of the original characters but gaining freshness; (2) recast the original characters and pick up where Return of the Jedi left off. Instead, in fully risk averse fashion, she chose door (3): leech off the nostalgia while introducing new characters a few years in the future. This led her to the idiotic decision to murder off all the original beloved characters in increasingly stupid fashion – and then to the doubly idiotic decision to go back and create new movies around those now-dead characters. She pissed off all of us who grew up on Star Wars, and in doing so, destroyed whatever good will existed among us for the newer batch of characters. Solo and Rogue One are good movies – but Han Solo was killed by JJ Abrams in The Force Awakens after being turned into a loser drifting around the galaxy in his iconic Millenium Falcon, the equivalent of a deadbeat dad who abandoned his family in the 1970s to trek the country in his bug van; Rogue One revolved around a set of characters who all die.

Sequels to a movie are BAD enough. Rarely are they the equal of the original. A trilogy is usually worse.... Prequels, Reboots and ReInventions are worse yet. They are loose canons (see what I did there? that's a pun)

BUT

to kill off the characters, then make a prequel about them combines bad and bad. Worse yet it's all SJW all the time. why would anyone be interested?
