Do you remember when the first Rocky movie came out? Well I don't, I wasn't even born haha xD, but my dad does, he was a teenage boy when this Sylvester Stallone movie came out for the first time in the cinema. It was a movie that had a strong impact on the audience that saw it in the theater. The plot of a small-time boxer who is given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity connected with the audience in an emotional and powerful way. The film was enthusiastically received and viewers identified with the main character, Rocky Balboa, and his struggle to achieve his dream. Although of course my dad told me that after leaving the theater he saw how teenagers were falling over each other imitating Rocky haha.
But what I want to highlight when mentioning this first Rocky movie is that the viewers experienced a series of emotions throughout the movie. In the training scenes, they felt the thrill of watching Rocky strive and better himself. In the fight scenes, they felt the tension and excitement of watching Rocky take on stronger, more experienced opponents. And in the love scenes, they felt the sweetness and tenderness of the relationship between Rocky and Adrian. In addition, the film captured the essence of boxing in a realistic and authentic way. The choreography of the fights was well executed and felt realistic and exciting. It also showed the harsh reality of the boxing world, with its cheating and corruption.

Pues yo no, yo ni había nacido jaja xD, pero mi papa si, él era un chico adolescente cuando esta película de Sylvester Stallone salió por primera vez en el cine. Fue una película que impactó fuertemente al público que la vio en el cine. La trama de un boxeador de poca monta que recibe una oportunidad única en su vida, conectó con la audiencia de una forma emotiva y poderosa. La película fue recibida con entusiasmo y los espectadores se identificaron con el personaje principal, Rocky Balboa, y su lucha por alcanzar su sueño. Aunque claro mi papa me conto que luego de salir del cine veía como los adolescentes se caían a madrasos imitando a Rocky jaja.
Pero lo que quiero resaltar al mencionar esta primera película de Rocky es que Los espectadores experimentaron una serie de emociones a lo largo de la película. En las escenas de entrenamiento, sintieron la emoción de ver a Rocky esforzarse y superarse a sí mismo. En las escenas de pelea, sintieron la tensión y la emoción de ver a Rocky enfrentarse a oponentes más fuertes y experimentados. Y en las escenas de amor, sintieron la dulzura y la ternura de la relación entre Rocky y Adrián. Además, la película capturó la esencia del boxeo de una manera realista y auténtica. La coreografía de las peleas fue bien ejecutada y se sintió realista y emocionante. También mostró la dura realidad del mundo del boxeo, con sus trampas y corrupción.

And this is where we come to Creed III, the new film in the Rocky franchise, but starring only Michael B Jordan, and it's the first film not to feature Rocky. But, although it is a very risky bet not to put the character that inspired everything, the truth is that the story develops very well and ends up being enjoyable and having the same feel of the original Rocky saga. That's why in this review I would like to talk a little bit about how the new Creed story doesn't lose the essence and reinvents it. But first let's talk a little bit about what the plot is about.

Rocky fue la primera de su tipo en mostrar a un boxeador de bajo perfil que con lucha y constancia logra sus sueños. Y fue pionera en la combinación de drama y acción en una película de boxeo. Y algo que tambien destaco es que fue un éxito de taquilla y ganó tres premios de la Academia, incluyendo Mejor Película. La película fue seguida por varias secuelas y se convirtió en una franquicia icónica en la cultura popular.
Y es aquí en donde llegamos hasta Creed III, la nueva película de la franquicia de Rocky, pero protagonizada únicamente por Michael B Jordan, y es la primera película donde no sale Rocky. Pero, aunque es una apuesta muy arriesgada no poner al personaje que inspiro todo, la verdad la historia se desarrolla muy bien y termina siendo agradable y teniendo el mismo aire de la saga original de Rocky. Por eso en esta reseña me gustaría habar un poco de como la nueva historia de Creed no pierde la esencia y la reinventa. Pero antes hablemos un poco de lo que va la trama.
Adonis Creed is a successful world boxing champion, he has a relentless 27-1 record and now, as this retired man is focused on training a new champion in his academy, everything is going very well and he even organizes a big fight with his star pupil Felix "El Guerrero" Chavez. But everything takes an unexpected turn when the ghosts of the past haunt Creed, as he meets his old friend Damian, a friend with whom he had a somewhat turbulent past and who now 18 years later wants to vindicate him. So Creed gives Damian a chance to box as that was always his big dream, but everything gets complicated when Damian's plans are very ambitious and hurt Creed and his legacy.
Adonis Creed es un exitoso campeón del boxeo mundial, tiene un implacable récord de 27-1 y ahora, como este retirado está centrado en entrenar a un nuevo campeón en su academia, todo marcha muy bien y hasta organiza una gran pelea con su alumno estrella Félix "El Guerrero" Chávez. Pero todo da un giro inesperado cuando los fantasmas del pasado persiguen a Creed, ya que este se encuentra con su viejo amigo Damián, amigo con el que tuvo un pasado algo turbulento y que ahora 18 años después quiere revindicares. Así que Creed le da una oportunidad a Damián de que boxee ya que ese siempre fue su gran sueño, pero todo se complica cuando los planes de Damián son muy ambiciosos y perjudican a Creed y su legado.
If we talk about technical aspects, the movie was great, the photography, the soundtrack and the action scenes were brutal. Of course there are some obvious changes that deviate a little from what was the first Creed movie, for example, in the scenes in Creed II where Adonis goes out training in the desert or the brutal fight he has with the Russian, or the constant problems of trying to emerge as a boxer in the midst of media mockery to try to beat everyone. It is different in this installment, since it has everything, Creed already achieved his dream of becoming champion, but as his friend appears all that dream is shaken, and although it is nothing like the original is reinvented very well.
In addition, the role of Michael B Jordan as director is wonderful. It is the first of the creed saga to be directed by the same actor, following in Silvester's footsteps with the work he did in rocky. So it would just be a matter of waiting to see something new from Michael B Jordan's directorial work in the creed saga, maybe he will go Silvester's way and become a mentor to someone looking to reinvent himself or mentor his daughter in the boxing world, but either way the result will be excellent, just as it was in this installment of Creed III.
Si hablamos de aspectos técnicos, pues la película estuvo de maravilla, la fotografía, el Soundtrack y las escenas de acción estuvieron brutales. Claro hay ligeros cambios muy obvios que se desvían un poco de lo que fue la primera película de Creed, por ejemplo, en las escenas en creed II donde Adonis sale entrenando en el desierto o la brutal pelea que tiene con el ruso. o los constantes problemas por tratar de surgir como boxeador en medio de las burlas mediáticas para tratar de vencer a todos. Es distinto en esta entrega, ya que lo tiene todo, creed ya logro su sueño de convertirse en campeón, pero como aparece su amigo todo ese sueño se tambalea, y aunque no es nada como lo original se reinventa muy bien.
Además, el papel de Michael B Jordan como director es maravilloso. Es la primera de la saga creed que dirige el mismo actor, siguiendo así los pasos de Silvester con el trabajo que hizo en rocky. Así que solo sería cuestión de esperar para ver algo nuevo del trabajo como director de Michael B Jordan en la saga creed, tal vez opte por el camino de Silvester y se convierta en el mentor de alguien que busque reinventarse o como el mentor de su hija en el mundo del boxeo, pero de cualquier forma el resultado será excelente, así como lo fue en esta entrega de Creed III.
