La franquicia de "Creed" puede tomarse de ejemplo de como se puede revitalizar toda una historia, dejar de considerarla repetitiva y es que al dar un pequeño paso al costado y dar el protagonismo a un nuevo personaje que conecte con generaciones actuales y antiguas fue la mejor decisión que tomaron tanto el creador de toda esta historia como los productores que ahora de una manera u otra lideran este proyecto; es por eso que cuando se anunció está tercera y esperada película liderada por este personaje, pensaba que este es un correcto y necesario camino para dar conclusión a la historia de "Adonis Creed" y toda su vida ligada al boxeo, a su legado.
The "Creed" franchise can be taken as an example of how you can revitalize an entire story, stop considering it repetitive and by taking a small step aside and giving the lead role to a new character that connects with current and old generations was the best decision taken by both the creator of this whole story and the producers who now in one way or another lead this project; That is why when this third and long awaited movie led by this character was announced, I thought that this is a correct and necessary way to conclude the story of "Adonis Creed" and all his life linked to boxing, to his legacy.
En "Creed III", veremos cómo "Adonis" cierra su exitosa carrera como boxeador cuando llegue el momento de su retiro estando en lo más alto después de defender el título de Campeón de los Pesos Pesados; su vida llega a un límite al tener pensar en su salud y familia y así evitar males mayores en el futuro, pero eso no significa que esté desligado del boxeo, ya que junto a "Duke" su entrenador deciden ayudar y promocionar a las futuras estrellas de ese deporte, pero un día, una inesperada visita del pasado cambiará todo, ese visitante llamado "Damian Dame" traerá recuerdos de momentos felices, momentos invencibles, pero también traerá recuerdos doloroso lleno de rabia y resentimiento, esos recuerdos se convertirán en motivos para alcanzar lo que uno de ellos piensa que se le ha arrebatado y otro encontrará motivos para de una vez por todas cerrar las puertas del pasado y seguir con la vida que se merece; todo esto llevará a un enfrentamiento donde la fuerza, inteligencia y convicción será importante para sobrevivir en el cuadrilátero.
Esta franquicia al ser un spin-off de otra franquicia tan importante como lo es la de "Rocky" es imposible no compararlas en el desarrollo de ambas historias, por ejemplo el trayecto de este personaje demuestra un correcto desarrollo o crecimiento, el cual todo depende de los obstáculos físicos y mentales que tenga en su vida y por eso creo que la manera de escribir esta tercera parte es correcta porque es más sobre la estabilidad mental y emocional que la física. El guion escrito por Ryan Coogler y Zach Baylin es excelente; crean una historia con un buen peso dramático en dónde dos hombres en diferentes lados de un mismo camino deberán enfrentarse de la única manera que conocen, una manera que provee el legado por el cual siempre han soñado o el que tuvieron la oportunidad de obtener; justamente esa palabra "legado", es lo que es la única base de toda la franquicia y que siempre sea tan importante en las tres películas es algo que me parece excelente y está vez está más presente por la actualidad de todos los personajes que interviene en esta película; posiblemente sea la mejor historia de los tres films aunque no cuente con el personaje que originó todo.
In "Creed III", we will see how "Adonis" closes his successful career as a boxer when the time comes for him to retire at the top of his game after defending the Heavyweight Champion title; His life reaches a limit when he has to think about his health and family and thus avoid greater evils in the future, but that does not mean that he is detached from boxing, as together with "Duke" his trainer decide to help and promote the future stars of the sport, but one day, an unexpected visit from the past will change everything, that visitor called "Damian Dame" will bring memories of happy moments, invincible moments, but he will also bring painful memories full of anger and resentment, those memories will become reasons to reach what one of them thinks has been taken away from him and the other will find reasons to once and for all close the doors of the past and go on with the life he deserves; all this will lead to a confrontation where strength, intelligence and conviction will be important to survive in the ring.
This franchise being a spin-off of another franchise as important as "Rocky" it is impossible not to compare them in the development of both stories, for example the journey of this character shows a correct development or growth, which all depends on the physical and mental obstacles he has in his life and that is why I think the way to write this third part is correct because it is more about mental and emotional stability than the physical. The script written by Ryan Coogler and Zach Baylin is excellent; they create a story with a good dramatic weight where two men on different sides of the same path must face each other in the only way they know, a way that provides the legacy they have always dreamed of or had the opportunity to obtain; just that word "legacy", is what is the only basis of the whole franchise and that it is always so important in the three films is something that I think is excellent and this time is more present for the actuality of all the characters involved in this film; possibly the best story of the three films even without the character that originated it all.
La dirección para esta tercera producción es por parte de Michael B. Jordan quien hace su estreno como director en este film; debo decir que apreció mucho los anteriores trabajos realizados por los dos directores que trabajo en esta franquicia porque demostraron un gran nivel y sé que eso debió crear presión para Jordan en su primera vez detrás de cámara, pero siendo sincero eso no se notó absolutamente para nada; todo el trabajo que realiza este actor y ahora director es genial, me gustaron las tomas simples en varios momentos donde no imagino que no sentía obligación de imitar a lo hecho anteriormente y si mostrar algo nuevo y más en esta franquicia que cuenta con un gran número de films al sumar todas las películas de Rocky; quiero hacer una breve, pero especial mención a las escenas de las peleas donde en mi opinión son las mejores que he visto en mucho tiempo y es que él usa de la cámara, los diferentes movimientos para no perder ninguna toma es algo que me gustó junto al uso del Slow Motion el cual da mucho más impacto a estas escenas, pero a la vez no hay un abuso de esa práctica; me gustó el ver otros aspectos como por ejemplo los diferentes puntos de vista de los peleadores lo cual es algo que tomó el mismo Jordan de diferentes animes el cual él es fan y eso me sorprendió porque había leído algo, pero al ver el film puedo decir que me impresionó.
Las actuaciones son muy buenas, Jordan siempre se ve muy cómodo en su rol de "Adonis" y está vez su interpretación es diferente porque le toca interpretar a una versión adulta, a un hombre que entendió que su momento en el boxeo ha pasado y que debe enfocarse en otras cosas como ser un hombre de negocios, un esposo y más importante, un padre, pero un asunto del pasado le priva alcanzar por completo las nuevas metas que se ha trazado y eso lo hará regresar a ser lo que lo convirtió en el hombre exitoso que es; está interpretación de alguien atormentado por la culpa es lo que hace que en esta oportunidad se enseñe una versión de un Adonis que no es feliz, que se presta para ser derrotado y es un punto válido para esta historia. La actuación de Jonathan Majors es de lo mejor, es un buen antagonista, un hombre que también es víctima de los errores del pasado y que en mucho tiempo se formó en el odio, la envidia, frustración y en dónde el perdón es algo que no existe; su actuación es un gran ejemplo de las personas que se definen como lobos con traje de cordero y cuando obtienen lo que quieren, entonces demuestran quien en realidad son o quien en realidad se han convertido; el personaje de "Damian 'Diamond Dame' Anderson" es muy bueno, no puedo compararlo con otro, la manera por como está escrito e interpretado es muy bueno para este film.
The direction for this third production is by Michael B. Jordan who makes his directorial debut in this film; I must say that I really appreciated the previous work done by the two directors who worked in this franchise because they showed a great level and I know that must have created pressure for Jordan in his first time behind the camera, but to be honest that was not noticed at all; all the work done by this actor and now director is great, I liked the simple shots in several moments where I don't imagine that he felt no obligation to imitate what was done before and show something new and more in this franchise that has a large number of films when adding all the Rocky movies; I want to make a brief, but special mention to the fight scenes where in my opinion are the best I've seen in a long time and is that he uses the camera, the different movements to not lose any shot is something I liked along with the use of Slow Motion which gives much more impact to these scenes, but at the same time there is no abuse of this practice; I liked to see other aspects such as the different points of view of the fighters which is something that took the same Jordan from different anime which he is a fan and that surprised me because I had read something, but seeing the film I can say that I was impressed.
The performances are very good, Jordan always looks very comfortable in his role of "Adonis" and this time his interpretation is different because he plays an adult version, a man who understood that his time in boxing has passed and that he should focus on other things like being a businessman, a husband and more importantly, a father, but a matter of the past deprives him to completely achieve the new goals he has set and that will make him return to be what made him the successful man he is; This interpretation of someone tormented by guilt is what makes this opportunity to show a version of an Adonis who is not happy, who lends himself to be defeated and is a valid point for this story. The performance of Jonathan Majors is one of the best, he is a good antagonist, a man who is also a victim of past mistakes and who in a long time was formed in hatred, envy, frustration and where forgiveness is something that does not exist; his performance is a great example of people who define themselves as wolves in sheep's clothing and when they get what they want, then they show who they really are or who they have really become; the character of "Damian 'Diamond Dame' Anderson" is very good, I can't compare him with any other, the way he is written and interpreted is very good for this film.
Las tres películas anteriores tenían un peso dramático y emocional lo cual es un gran complemento para la acción que proviene de los combates; todo lo que se observa en las relaciones de su protagonista con diferentes personajes y otras situaciones más servirá como motivo para superar obstáculos y obtener importantes victorias en el ring y en la vida; todo eso se repite en Creed III, pero con la característica que es Adonis Creed quien deba enfrentar difíciles obstáculos para de una vez por toda cerrar cualquier herida y así enfrentar un mejor futuro tanto para él como para su familia y justamente eso es lo más me gusta de esta historias, especialmente de esta franquicia que como dije anteriormente, usa el legado y la motivación para el desarrollo de sus historias y en mi opinión, en esta oportunidad se hace de una gran manera porque profundiza mucho en las oportunidades ganadas, perdidas y de como dirigen o afectan una vida. Esta película no decepciona en ningún ámbito, todos los involucrados hacen un gran trabajo y vuelvo a alabar el desempeño en la dirección por parte de Michael B. Jordan que espero pronto verlo dirigir otro film, me gustaría que fuera de acción para ver qué tanto puede aportar en ese género, ya que las escenas de las peleas son las mejores en esta muy buena franquicia; antes de despedirme les recuerdo que Creed III está todavía en las salas de cine y desde hace días está en el formato de vídeo on demand; así que está en su decisión de ver este por ahora cierre de la historia de Adonis Creed y la apertura de otras más.
The three previous films had a dramatic and emotional weight which is a great complement to the action that comes from the fights; everything that is observed in the relationships of its protagonist with different characters and other situations will serve as a motive to overcome obstacles and obtain important victories in the ring and in life; All this is repeated in Creed III, but with the characteristic that it is Adonis Creed who must face difficult obstacles to once and for all close any wound and thus face a better future for both him and his family and that is exactly what I like most about these stories, especially this franchise that as I said before, uses the legacy and motivation for the development of their stories and in my opinion, this time it is done in a great way because it delves much into the opportunities won, lost and how they direct or affect a life. This film does not disappoint in any area, everyone involved does a great job and I again praise the directing performance by Michael B. Jordan who I hope soon to see him direct another film, I would like it to be an action film to see how much he can contribute in that genre, since the fight scenes are the best in this very good franchise; before I say goodbye I remind you that Creed III is still in theaters and since days ago it is in the video on demand format; so it is in your decision to see this for now closure of the story of Adonis Creed and the opening of others more.
