   I am an amateur cinema viewer (although I don't know what a professional is), I write down what I see and feel during the viewing. When my responsibilities were less, (in the past years) we used to critique the film we watched with friends. We would have conversations that would last for hours, flowing over the actors, scenes and the plot of the film, just like match conversations.

   In this respect, I am not very familiar with the terms behind the scenes or behind the camera in cinema! I don't have additional information about the cameras used in filming, I follow the technologies used through the explanations made. But besides all these, I like to watch films at home and sometimes in the cinema. I think I can make good observations because I watch the film carefully. So I see myself in the audience seat of the cinema.

   Just like music, I only know the notes by name. I don't know how to play any musical instrument, but I go to concerts in my city. I like to listen to music in my car, at home, at work. I like to immerse myself in the rhythm of music and dance, no matter how bad it is. I am in the audience seat of the cinema and in the listening seat of music.

   All of this is not strange for me or anyone else because films are made for people like us who fill the audience. Music is also made for those like us who fill the listener part. If the audience and the listener part were empty, neither films would be made nor music would exist.

   When cinema and music come together, the attraction of being both a viewer and a listener increases. We can also think of it as two-in-one coffee. Since the aroma added to the coffee will add extra flavour to the taste, it will take the bitter taste of the coffee.

   Many film soundtracks I have watched so far, if it would be appropriate to say so; it cheered my ears. One of them is the Merry Me film music, a duet of Jennifer Lopez and Maluma. Released in 2022, it has become an unforgettable duet for me with the romantic moments of the show-oriented film, which was released in 2022, and with its lyrics on marriage.

   But as with everything else, there is one of the most admired in film music. The most admired one has a story. What I am talking about is not the general story of the film or its music, but the story of the film music for me personally.

   I'm sure most of us remember Sylvester Stallone, who gave life to the character of Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film series, and of course we also remember the song "eye of the tiger", the music of the film Rocky III. The song, performed by the Survivor rock band, is both a show of power for me and a reminder of the first vehicle I bought. The car I bought second-hand when I was only 19 or 20 years old had a music system that allowed old 45's cassettes to be played on the original stereo. I replaced the original stereo with a CD player and firstly I toured the streets of the city I lived in by playing the song Eye of the Tiger loudly. I realised at that moment that the song symbolised a power and made you feel strong involuntarily. The wind caused by the speed of the vehicle, together with the song; immortalised those moments in my mind.

   I still listen to Eye of the tiger today and every time I switch it on, I turn the volume up to the end. Don't you think it symbolises power?

   In a personal context it can be said that a person is empowered when he or she manages to improve his or her psychological, political or social situation and develops confidence and self-confidence, believing in the potential of his or her actions and decisions.

   Going into cinematographic matters, I am going to refer to what in my opinion is the best movie of the Rocky saga: Rocky III.

   In 1982, Sylvester Stallone directs and writes Rocky III, by way of introduction we are shown how Rocky defeats Apollo Creed becoming the new world boxing champion. We hear the famous song Eye of the tiger by Survivor, and short scenes show Rocky defending the title of world champion, accompanied by his wife Adrian, his trainer Mickey, and his brother-in-law Paulie.

   This song conveys motivation and energy, and to this day images from the movie associated with hard training and self-improvement still come to mind.

   Rocky is a superstar, everyone knows who he is including Clubber Lang, a muscular beast played by Mr. T who follows his fights closely. Clubber begins to stand out in the boxing world, winning all his fights by knock out and training hard.

   Rocky agrees to face an exhibition match against the wrestling champion Thunderlips, (Hulk Hogan). In this encounter Rocky is shaken and beaten, until he grabs his opponent by the neck and leaves him without air, being the bout declared null and void. Here Rocky begins to question his abilities.

   Then, at the top of the stairs of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rocky is honored and a bronze statue of him is erected. Balboa, publicly reveals that he will retire from boxing, but in the audience, Clubber Lang challenges Rocky to a fight while discrediting him by telling him that he has only kept the title because his fights were with easy to beat challengers.

   His trainer (Mickey) confesses to Rocky that all his contenders were selected for Rocky to win. Mickey warns Rocky that he will lose the fight because he had lost his boxing spirit.

   Rocky, pleases his fans by taking pictures and does not train seriously, instead Clubber Lang in his training gives it all of himself.

   The day of the fight arrives, Rocky argues with Clubber in the locker room, there the antagonist attacks Mickey, and he suffers a heart attack. Rocky asks to cancel the fight but Mickey tells him that he must fight.

   Rocky and Clubber go to the boxing ring, and among the sports commentators broadcasting the fight is Apollo Creed, who asks Balboa to beat his opponent.

   Rocky angrily attacks Clubber but his fury soon ends and his opponent manages to overshadow him, leaving Rocky almost destroyed in the first round. Worried and distracted by the state of health of his trainer is defenseless against the attack of Clubber, falls in the second round and Clubber Lang is proclaimed world champion amidst boos from the audience.

   Rocky says goodbye to his trainer by making him believe that Lang has fallen. Mickey breathes his last amidst tears of pride. Rocky desperate after the death of his friend walks around his old gym, there Apollo Creed surprises him with a proposal, to be his new trainer.

   Rocky moves to the city of Los Angeles, where. Apollo shows him his old gym, a dark and messy place. Rocky trains with Apollo, to the beat of Eye of the tiger and we see how he improves his footwork with swimming, running on the beach and sparring against Apollo.

   This is where the inspiring and empowering part comes in for our hero, who doesn't seem to trust himself until his beloved Adrian makes him see that he is not a man who leaves things half way, that he shouldn't be afraid and that he should beat Clubber because he wants to, not because others want him to. Rocky's morale is boosted and he has confidence in himself again, so he continues with his training.

   Rocky, ready for a rematch, faces his rival at Madison Square Garden. After the presentation begins the first round in which Rocky dances around the champion and hits him in the face. Continuing with the fight, it is observed that Clubber is beating Rocky Balboa, however he manages to finish the round.

   During the third round our hero provokes Lang and applies a psychological warfare, winning again the title as world heavyweight boxing champion.

   In this film Rocky begins as an idol with feet of clay who has already won so many fights and has been carried away by the glory. He presents a totally exhibitionist ego, then reality hits him hard when he realizes that he only won easy fights. He loses faith in himself, he is affected by fear and demotivation. It is in those moments when the professional discovers his true loved ones: Apollo, his former nemesis and now trainer, and Adrian, his wife, who manages to become a strong woman capable of inspiring and transmitting energy to her husband.

   We witness how with courage, gallantry, hard work and above all humility Rocky manages to be and with greater strength the idol he was before.

   In this type of empowerment the man discovers the ability to deal with his emotions, without fear of showing himself vulnerable, and leaving out anger and pride.

   Although it is quite evident that between Rocky I and its sequel there is a considerable difference in terms of quality (which does not mean that we cannot like one more than the other, it is a matter of personal preferences after all), visiting the third and fourth episode of this saga feels even more disconnected from the original adventure of the Italian stallion.

   The previous dichotomy that we had between the dramatic elements and the more traditional action of the 70s, ends up being completely left behind to make way for two films that quite accurately represent all the characteristic features of the eighties blockbuster, sacrificing its substance to a large extent but delivering in return a lot of entertainment of irregular quality.

   Something that we cannot deny since its inception is that Rocky has always known how to evolve naturally between film and film, II integrated the unexpected success of the first part into its own plot in a metanarrative way, dealing with the consequences of a sudden ascent to the fame and to a greater or lesser extent here we have a solid continuation of this idea, although it falters a little more in its execution.

   Rocky III is a gimmicky product, which has many things to show but little to say, full of iconic sequences and endearing characters (As expected), where perhaps the most important thing is its final minutes that solidify the previously implied friendship between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed, as well as the interesting inclusion of an antagonistic figure that borders on the cartoonish but gives flavor to a story that needs it.

   Being totally honest, contrary to what most people think, I have always preferred the fourth installment, even if it is much more dissociated from those characteristics that made Rocky such a great series of films in the first place.

   The reason? It is difficult to try to explain it, it is probably due to the inclusion of a much more endearing and cold antagonist, with a couple of moments that, analyzing it, could well deserve our empathy (An idea that the Creed Sequel would develop a couple of decades later) as well as the corny but effective anti-war message that with zero subtlety ends up covering a good portion of the footage.

   It's funny, I consider it pertinent to evaluate Rocky III and Rocky IV at the same time, there are many common elements and in terms of rhythm they are very different, however, there are strategic differences that make both films very different experiences.

   Aunque es bastante evidente que entre Rocky I y su secuela existe una diferencia considerable en términos de calidad (Que no quiere decir que no pueda gustarnos una más que la otra, es una cuestión de preferencias personales al fin y al cabo), visitar el tercer y cuarto episodio de esta saga se siente aún más desconectado de la aventura original del semental italiano.

   La previa dicotomía que teníamos entre los elementos dramáticos y la acción más tradicional de los 70, termina quedando totalmente atrás para darle paso a dos filmes que representan de forma bastante acertada todos los rasgos característicos del blockbuster ochentero, sacrificando en buena medida su sustancia pero entregando a cambio mucho entretenimiento de calidad irregular.

   Algo que no podemos negar desde sus inicios es que Rocky siempre ha sabido evolucionar de forma natural entre película y pelicula, II integraba de forma metanarrativa el exito inesperado de la primera parte a su propia trama, lidiando con las consecuencias de un ascenso repentino a la fama y en mayor o menor medida aquí tenemos una continuación sólida a esta idea, aunque tambalee un poco más en su ejecución.

   Rocky III es un producto efectista, que tiene muchas cosas por mostrar pero poco que decir, plagada de secuencias icónicas y personajes entrañables (Como es de esperar), en dónde quizá lo más importante sean sus minutos finales que solidifican la ya previamente implicada amistad entre Rocky Balboa y Apollo Creed, así como la inclusión interesante de una figura antagónica que raya en lo caricaturesco pero la brinda sabor a una historia que lo necesita.

   Siendo totalmente honesto, contrario a lo que piensa la mayoría del público, siempre he preferido la cuarta entrega, aunque se encuentre mucho más disociada de aquellas notas características que hicieron de Rocky una serie de películas tan grandes en primer lugar.

   ¿La razon? Es difícil tratar de explicarlo, probablemente se deba a la inclusión de un antagonista mucho más entrañable y frio, con un par de momentos que analizandolo bien podrían merecer nuestra empatía (Una idea que desarrollaría la Secuela de Creed un par de décadas después) así como el cursi pero efectivo mensaje antiguerra que con cero sutileza termina cubriendo una buena porción del metraje.

   Es gracioso, considero pertinente evaluar Rocky III y Rocky IV al mismo riempo, hay muchos elementos comunes y en términos de ritmo son muy dimilares, no obstante, existen diferencias estratégicas que convierten ambos filmes en experiencias muy diferentes.

   Gusto en saludarles y pasearme nuevamente por este mundo del séptimo arte. Donde cada uno nosotros podemos expresar nuestra pasión por el cine, y no podría ser desde otro sitio que desde nuestra casa @movies&tvshows. En esta oportunidad disfrutaremos de la tercera entrega de la fabulosa historia de #Rocky Balboa. Todos sabemos que son 8 películas donde aparece esta leyenda del #boxeo. Sin embargo nos centraremos en Rocky III contada a mi manera de acuerdo a como la he visto y vivido. Por otro lado por si no lo sabían podrán disfrutar de un aspecto muy especial sobre la banda sonora de este filme. No se impacienten que vamos a la acción, y suena la campana.

This time we will enjoy the third installment of the fabulous story of #Rocky Balboa. We all know that there are 8 movies where this legend of #boxing appears. However we will focus on Rocky III told in my own way according to how I have seen and experienced it. Todos saben que el protagonista es Sylvester Stallone que por si fuera poco fue el escritor del guión y director del filme.    La secuela inicia con el final de Rocky II. ¿Recuerdan?, esa emocionante pelea donde el drama se puso de manifiesto, cuando ambos boxeadores se golpean y caen a la lona. Electrizante momento cuando inicia el conteo, Mickey sufre, levántate muchacho por amor a Dios. Los dos se agarran de las cuerdas, parece que Apollo se levanta, allí va, pero no, Apollo cae, su esposa llora. Rocky está de pie y se tambalea; Rocky es el nuevo campeón del mundo derrotando a Apollo Creed, quien luego de esta pelea le dice adiós al boxeo. Adrian lo logramos. Ahora si inicia Rocky III con Balboa defiendo como un león ese título. Eso es golpe y golpe con Rocky ganando cada una de las 10 defensas durante 5 años. Ya es famoso y adinerado, todo esto transcurre con mi música especial ojo de tigre, ay papa. El muchacho adquiere su mansión, es toda una celebridad. Pero en la otra cara de la moneda está un peleador que nadie conoce que sube como la espuma a fuerza de puñetazos brutales; convirtiéndose en el contrincante numero 1. Esto no es bueno para Balboa.

   The sequel begins with the end of Rocky II. Remember, that exciting fight where the drama was revealed, when both boxers hit each other and fell to the canvas. Electrifying moment when the count begins, Mickey suffers, get up boy for the love of God. The two hold onto the ropes, it seems that Apollo gets up, there he goes, but no, Apollo falls, his wife cries. Rocky is on his feet and staggers; Rocky is the new world champion defeating Apollo Creed, who after this fight says goodbye to boxing. Adrian we made it. Now if Rocky III starts with Balboa I defend that title like a lion. That's hit and hit with Rocky winning each of the 10 defenses for 5 years. He is already famous and wealthy, all this happens with my special tiger eye music, ay papa. The boy acquires his mansion, he is quite a celebrity.    Todo sigue su curso y Rocky participa en una pelea de caridad contra el luchador Thunderlips. Balboa piensa que todo esta arreglado y es un espectáculo, pero no es así porque Thunderlips va en serio y le propina una enorme paliza a Rocky. Balboa aturdido dice, ¡ah! la cosa va en serio, quitame los guantes porque le voy a dar lo suyo. Y así fue, Rocky como siempre golpeando al cuerpo, debilita al luchador pero éste se enfurece. Rocky aplica llaves al cuello y el luchador cae, Balboa lo levanta y lo saca del ring. Aunque la pelea termina en empate, el jueguito causó daños en el corazón de Mickey, se recupera pero queda tocado. Todo a la vista de Lang. Seguimos avanzando porque a Rocky le hacen un homenaje en las escalinatas del Museo, donde develan la famosa estatua. Allí Balboa aprovecha para anunciar su retiro. Clubber se enfurece diciendo que Rocky no es campeón insultando a Adrian poniendo en duda la hombría de Balboa. Lang lanza el reto que Rocky acepta. La cuestión es que Mickey dice que no lo entrenará porque el negro es muy fuerte, peligroso y tiene hambre de victoria. Rocky alega que él es el campeón y ha ganado todo, Mickey dice, es verdad pero esas peleas eran fáciles. De que hablas Mickey la peleas fueron arreglaras; no hijo, los tipos eran buenos luchadores pero todo lo hice para protegerte porque Apollo te dio muy duro, y creo que ahora no ganarás. Te equivocas Mickey, si voy a pelear, estas loco.

   Everything runs its course and Rocky participates in a charity fight against the fighter Thunderlips. Balboa thinks that everything is fixed and it is a show, but it is not like that because Thunderlips is serious and gives Rocky a huge beating. Stunned Balboa says, ah! The thing is serious, take off my gloves because I'm going to give him his. And so it was, Rocky as always hitting the body, weakens the fighter but he becomes enraged. Rocky applies braces to the neck and the fighter falls, Balboa picks him up and takes him out of the ring. Although the fight ends in a draw, the little game caused damage to Mickey's heart, he recovers but is touched. Everything in sight of Lang. We continue to advance because Rocky is honored on the steps of the Museum, where they unveil the famous statue. There Balboa takes the opportunity to announce his retirement. Clubber is enraged saying that Rocky is not champion insulting to Adrian questioning the manhood of Balboa. Lang launches the challenge that Rocky accepts.    Bueno Rocky, está bien te voy a entrenar. Inician los entrenamientos pero muy flojos, todo parece pura publicidad y Rocky lo toma a la ligera. Mientras que Lang se entrena muy duro, tiene hambre mijo. Al final llega el día de la pelea, los tipos se encuentran e inicia la discusión, Lang empuja a Mickey y a éste le da un infarto. Todo es un caos y Rocky quiere cancelar la pelea pero Mickey le dice que que continúe. Rocky ya no es el mismo, no está concentrado. Vamos al Ring, Apollo sube a saludar a los oponentes, Clubber lo amenaza y lo echa. Apollo le dice a Rocky que lo acabe. Pin pin, suena la campana, Rocky sale como una tromba y golpea con furia, pero esos golpes non hacen nada por lo que al cabo de un rato Lang despierta y propina tremendos puñetazos a Rocky que lo hacen ver estrellitas. La pelea no dura mucho porque en el segundo asalto, Rocky es golpeado salvajemente y cae noqueado. Clubber Lang es el nuevo campeón del mundo, Apollo está decepcionado.
