Shazam 2 is finally out and I was really surprised by the plot, lots of action, lots of stupidities and above all a lot of expectation as many interesting things are revealed, creating a wonderful storyline and a more united DC universe. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is the sequel to this franchise that looks like it will continue to expand, but if you have already seen Black Adam you will know that at the end Superman appears challenging Black Adam. Well, in this Shazam! Fury of the Gods movie, more characters from the DC universe appear, filling the movie with surprises. But let's first talk about what the plot is about and then what the movie has to offer.
The film's plot follows Billy and his adopted siblings, who also have superhero abilities, must face a new threat in the form of mythological gods who seek to steal their powers. ¡Ya por fin salió Shazam 2 y la verdad me sorprendió bastante la trama, mucha acción, muchas estupideces y sobre todo mucha expectación ya que se revelan muchas cosas bastante interesantes que van creando un maravilloso hilo argumental y un universo más unido de DC. Shazam! Fury of the Gods es la secuela de esta franquicia que parece que se seguirá extendiendo, pero si ya has visto Black Adam sabrás que al final Superman aparece retando a Black Adam. ¡Pues en esta película de Shazam! Fury of the Gods, aparecen más personajes del universo de DC llenando de sorpresas la película. Pero hablemos primero de lo que va la trama y luego de lo que la película ofrece.
La trama de la película sigue a Billy y sus hermanos adoptivos, quienes también tienen habilidades de superhéroes, deben enfrentarse a una nueva amenaza en forma de dioses mitológicos que buscan robar sus poderes. The movie is brutal, very good for a DC movie, it really lives up to expectations as it is something fresh and diversified full of action and humor, with a cast of colorful and fun characters that bring a lot of energy to the story. In addition, the film tackles important themes such as family, friendship and self-acceptance, making it not only an exciting superhero movie, but also a movie with a positive message.
But besides that the movie has some very positive things like: the cast as we have again returns: Zachary Levi returns to play Shazam, the teenage superhero, while Asher Angel repeats as his alter ego, the young Billy Batson. In addition, the other actors who play Billy's adopted siblings, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen and Jovan Armand, also return in their respective roles. This is a good thing, since in these types of superhero movies it is complicated for actors to reprise roles or agree to work with the franchise again, and to make sense of it they reboot everything.
