Hello everyone...
There is no doubt that the star wars franchise is the most legendary and unsurpassed in history, since it began with George Lucas in 1977 it has brought us many movies, series, and games that have kept us entertained for a long time.
But just as things have their good moments there are also bad moments, and since the mouse company bought George Lucas' production company and produced the new star wars trilogy things have not gone well at all, in fact, movies like Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, Star Wars: Episode IX - Rise of Skywalker and Han Solo, made many fans dislike the saga (mainly because they had to make movies with family friendly content, stupid Disney).
Luckily, we have someone like Dave Filoni who has done incredible work that makes us forget the bad tastes left by those cinematic failures. And although Rogue One is not directed by Dave Filoni or even involved in the production, it follows the same course as the golden age of Star Wars movies and shares the same thinking as Dave Filoni's productions, as it focuses on exploring other characters from the Star Wars expanded universe and not just the problems of a dysfunctional family.
Therefore, I would like to review one of the movies that have saved the franchise from falling into oblivion: "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story".

Argument
Years after the Republic fell, the Empire is working on a new secret weapon capable of destroying entire cities and wiping them off the map (there is a demonstration when they destroy Saw Gerrera's lair) but to complete this weapon requires the participation of the Empire's most important and brilliant scientist, Galen Erso.
One day while Galen is living on a remote planet with his wife and daughter Jyn, he is brought back to the force to work for the Empire on this secret weapon, his wife is killed and his abandoned daughter sets out on a new path being raised by Saw Gerrera as a Rebel fighter.
13 years later a defector pilot of the empire issues a message where Galen warns of a destructive weapon that the empire is creating and is about to be completed, Jyn along with a group of renegades have the mission to stop the plans of the empire and steal the plans of this new superweapon and pass them to the republic to destroy it, but on the way they face many dangers and against the personalities of his companions who will make the mission difficult.
General aspects
Rogue One, is a spin-off of the canon of films in the Star Wars franchise, as it is located between episode 3 and episode 4 (In fact at the end of rouge one you can see the scene where episode 4 begins).
This spin-off is directed by Gareth Edwards, known for movies like Godzilla (2014) and Monsters. This movie features important stars such as Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, among others.
It was released in late 2016 and had a very big success at the box office, I remember when I had the opportunity to see it in the theater and the most impressive thing was how much Darth Vader appeared at the end annihilating the soldiers of the resistance.
My Opinion
Rouge One is a movie focused directly on what it was made for, as I mentioned at the beginning there is no drama about the Skywalker family none of them appear only Leia and Darth Vader but as secondary characters, rouge ones a movie focused on the decisions that are made in the heat of battle, decisions that affect in real life to many people. It is also a movie that shows that to achieve the success of the war missions it is necessary to take dark paths, for example, Cassian (Diego Luna) has the mission to kill Jyn's father to stop the progress of the creation of the death star, something that did not agree with the team.
For me, this movie meets all my expectations and more, as it takes the original path that had the classic star wars and although in this spin off no Jedi use the force, I can categorize it at the same height as episodes 1 to 7.
Although the only disappointing thing is that they did not leave any character alive to continue exploring the history of the expanded universe of star wars, and although it may not be necessary, it would have been exciting to see Jyn or Cassian continue the struggle of the resistance on other fronts, which is itself the empire encompassed the entire universe so there is plenty of stories to tell.
That's why I want to give Rogue One a score of 9.2 and I would love to recommend it to you if you haven't seen it yet, you can do it in Disney+ which is available along with all the movies and series of this magnificent franchise.

No hay ninguna duda de que la franquicia de star wars es la mas legendaria e insuperable de la historia, ya que desde que inicio con Geoge Lucas en el año 1977 nos ha traido muchas peliculas, series y juegos que nos han tenido entretenidos mucho tiempo.
Pero asi como las cosas tienen sus momentos buenas tabien hay momentos malos, y desde que la empresa del raton compro la productora de George lucas y produjeron la nueva triologia de star wars las cosas no han ido para nada bien, de hecho peliculas como Star Wars: Episodio VIII - Los últimos Jedi, Star Wars: Episodio IX - El ascenso de Skywalker y Han Solo, hicieron que muchos fans se disgustaran de la saga (principalmente porque tuvieron que hacer peliculas con contenido family frinedly, estupido Disney)
Por suerte, tenemos a alguien como Dave Filoni que ha hecho trabajos increibles que hace que olvidemos los males sabores que nos dejaron esos fracasos cinematograficos. Y aunque Rogue One no ha sido dirigida por Dave Filoni o ni siquiera participa en la produccion, sigue el mismo curso que las peliculas de la era dorada de Star wars y comparte ese mismo pensar que las producciones de Dave filoni, Ya que se centra en explorar otros personajes del universo expandido de star wars y no solo en los problemas persolanes de una familia disfuncional.
Por eso, me gustaria hacerle una reseña a una de las peliculas que ha salvado a la franquicia de caer en el olvido: "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story".

Argumento
Años despues de que la republica cayera, el imperio trabaja en una nueva arma secreta capaz de destruir ciudades enteras y borrarlas del mapa (Hay una demostracion cuando destruyen la guarida de Saw gerrera) pero para completar dicha arma hace falta la participacion del cientifico mas importante y brillante del imperio, Galen Erso.
Un dia mientras Galen vive en un planeta remoto con su esposa e hija Jyn, el es llevado a la fuerza a trabajar de nuevo para el imperio en esta arma secreta, su esposa es asesinada y su hija que ha sido abandonada, emprende un nuevo camino siendo criada por Saw Gerrera como una combatiente de la rebelion.
13 años mas tarde un piloto desertor del imperio emite un mensje donde galen advierte de un arma totalmente destructora que el imperio esta creando y esta a punto de ser terminada, Jyn junto con un grupo de renegados tienen la mision de detener los planes del imperio y robar los planos de esta nueva super arma y pasarselos a la republica para destruirlo, pero en el camino se enfrentera contra muchos peligros y contra las personalidades de sus compañeros quienes haran que la mision sea dificil.
Aspectos generales
Rogue One, es un spin-off del canon de películas de la franquicia Star Wars, ya que se situa entre el episodio 3 y el episodio 4 (De hecho al final de rouge one se puede ver la escena donde comienza el episodio 4).
Este spin-off es dirigido por Gareth Edwards, reconocido por peliculas como Godzilla (2014) y Monsters. Esta peliucula cuenta con la actuacion de importantes estrellas como Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, entre otros.
Fue estrenada a finales el 2016 y tuvo un exito muy grande en taquillas, recuerdo cuando tuve la oportunidad de verla en el cine y lo mas impresionante fue cuanto aparcio Darth Vader al final aniquilando a los soldados de la resistencia.
Mi Opinion
Rouge One es Una pelicula centrada directamente para lo que fue hecha, ya que como mencione al principio no hay drama de la familia Skywalker de hecho no aparece ninguno de ellos solo leia y darth vader pero como personajes secundarios, rouge ones una pelicula enfocada en las decisiones que se toman en el calor de la batalla, decisiones que afectan en la vida real a muchas personas. Tambien es una pelicula que muestra que para lograr el exito de las misiones belicas es necesario tomar caminos oscuros, por ejemplo Cassian (diego luna) tiene la mision de matar al padre de Jyn para detener el avance de la creacon de la estrella de la muerte, algo que obiamente no estuvo de acuerdo con el equipo.
Para mi esta pelicula cumple con todas mis espectativas y mas, ya que toma el camino original que tuvieron los clasicos de star wars y aunque en este spinn off ningun jedi use la fuerza, la puedo categorizar a la misma altura que los episodios 1 a 7.
Aunque lo unico realmente decepcionante es que no dejaron a ningun personaje vivo para seguir explorando la historia del universo expandido de star wars, y aunque tal vez no sea necesario, hubiera sido emocinante ver a Jyn o a cassian continuar con la lucha de la resistencia en otros frentes, que de por si el imperio abarco todo el universo asi que historia para contar hay muchisima.
Por eso quiero darle a Rouge One una puntuacion de 9.2 y me encntaria recomendartela si aun no la has visto, lo puedes hacer en Disney+ que esta disponible junto con todas las peliculas y series de esta magnifica franquicia.
