When the zombie genre started in movies and television back in the 30's, it was never imagined how much it would spread and the many ideas that relate zombies with conspiracy theories or the illuminati. But be that as it may, an absolute truth is that a good zombie movie makes a big impact, and beyond killing zombies with super abilities like in Resident Evil, a zombie movie that sticks to scientific reality, personally makes a much bigger impact.
And that is what "World War Z" achieved. It showed us from a scientific point of view why an epidemic originated and how humans who were not infected could survive, that's why I want to review this amazing movie from 2013 starring Brad Pitt.
World War Z, was directed by Marc Forster, with Brad Pitt as the main actor, and this movie is based on the novel by Max Brooks. And it focuses mainly on the outbreak of a strain of a virus that makes people become zombies, attacking each other with extreme violence, the mission of Gary (Bradd Pitt) is to try to discover patient zero and thus to find a solution to stop the contagion and zombies, so he travels to different countries to find patient zero and at the same time avoiding danger and death closely on many occasions.
What I liked the most
As I said before, a movie that sticks to reality is much more entertaining and fun. And something I loved about world war z, is that they don't do fanciful ideas like resident evil, and although the whole resident evil saga is also good entertainment, I think world war z is above it.
When Gary discovers that the zombies were unaware of infecting people with serious or terminal diseases like AIDS or H1N1, I liked that analogy. Also, when they realized that the sound attracted the zombies I thought it was great too, since they show the virus and the people turned into predators looking for prey.
Also, I loved the way they set the collapse of humanity in this movie. It was impressive to see that when there are moments of instability people quickly forget who they are and bring out, so to speak, the monsters inside them, even killing their fellow man to try to survive, which is also something we see in movies or TV series like The Walking Dead.
What I didn't like
There are several things that I didn't like about this movie, first is that they didn't finish the story, that is to say that they didn't try to close the plot or at least leave clues for a sequel, since everything was left in the air, because they never found patient zero, they discovered a way to camouflage against the zombies and when the humans reunited, they killed many zombies. But they never say what happened to the story, if they found a cure, or what happened to the virus or if humanity could be restored (since in the book they mention that after the zombies were wiped out, an outbreak of an infectious disease almost wiped out humanity).
Also, like many movies based on books, they shortened the story by 60% of what is mentioned in the book and even though the movie was really good. Also, they never took seriously the direction of a sequel, since the control has been passed from hand to hand until it was almost a buried project, until Paramount decided to cancel the sequel to World War Z due to the huge budget it would entail. This was very sad because I was hoping for a sequel to this movie, as it would be very exciting to see how the events of Gary and his family unfolded in the midst of that pandemic.
Other than these things, the movie is a visual marvel.
Anyway, if you want to enjoy a time of excitement, terror, drama and action, I would definitely recommend World War Z, it will not disappoint you and will keep you seated from the beginning to the end. The acting of Brad Pitt, Daniella Kertesz, among others, was outstanding, typical of a high caliber movie.

Cuando inicio el genero zombie en el cine y la television por alla en los años 30, nunca se llego a imaginar lo mucho que se extenderia y las muchas ideas que relacionan a los zombies con teorias conspirativas o los iluminati. Pero sea como sea, una verdad absoluta es que una buena pelicula de zombie impacta bastante, y mas alla de matar zombies con super habilidades como en Resident Evil, una pelicula de zombies que se apege a la realidad cientifica, en lo personal impacta mucho mas.
Y eso es lo que logro "Guerra mundial Z" Nos mostro desde un punto de vista cientifico porque se origino una epidemiay como los seres humanos que no se infectaron pudieron sobrevivir, por eso quiero hacerle una reseña a esta asombrosa pelicula del 2013 protagonizada por Brad Pitt.

Y se centra principalmente en el brote de una cepa de un virus que hace que las personas se vuelvan zombies, atacandose unas a otras con extrema violencia, la mision de Gary (Bradd pitt) es tratar de descubrir al paciente cero y asi poder buscar una solucion que frene el contagio y a los zombies, por eso viaja a distintos paises para buscar al paciente cero y al mismo tiempo evitando peligros y la muerte de cerca en muchas ocaciones.
Lo que mas me gusto
Como dije antes, una pelicula que se apege a la realidad, es mucho mas entretenida y divertida. Y algo que me encanto de guerra mundial z, es que no hacen ideas fantaciosas como resident evil, y aunque toda la saga de resident evil tambien es buen entretenimiento, pienso que guerra mundial z esta por encima.
Cuando Gary descubre que los zombies ignoraban infectar a personas con enfermedades graves o terminales como el SIDA o el H1N1, me gusto esa analogia. Tambien, cuando se dieron cuenta de que el sonido atraia a los zombies tambien me resulto genial, ya que muestran al virus y a las personas convertidas como depredadores en busca de presas.
Ademas, me encanto como en esta pelicula ambientaron el colapzo de la humanidad. Fue algo impresionante ver que cuando hay momentos de inestabilidad las personas rapidamente olvidan quienes son y sacan por decirlo asi, los monstruos que llevan dentro, llegando a matar a su semejante para tratar de sobrevivir, que tambien es algo que vemos en las peliculas o series de TV com The walking dead.
Lo que no me gusto
Hay varias cosas que no me gustaron de esta pelicula, primero es que la historia no la terminaron, es decir que no trataron de cerrar la trama o al menos dejar pistas de una secuela, ya que todo quedo en el aire, porque nunca encontraron al paciente cero, descubrireon una forma de camuflarce contra los zombies y cuando los humanos se reunieron, mataron a muchos zombies. Pero nunca dicen que paso con la historia, si encontraron una cura, o que paso con el virus o si la humanidad se pudo restaurar (Ya que en el libro mencionan que despues de acabar con los zombies, un brote de una enfermedad infecciosa casi acaba con la humanidad).
Ademas, como muchas peliculas basadas en libros, acortaron la historia en un 60% de lo que se menciona en el libro y a pesar de que la pelicula estuvo realmente buena, Tambien, que nunca se tomo en serio la direccion de una secuela, ya que el mando se ha pasado de mano en manos hasta quedar como un proyecto casi sepultado, hasta que Paramount decidió cancelar la secuela de guerra mundial z debido al enorme presupuesto que supondria. Esto fue muy triste orilo porque yo esperaba una secuela de esta pelicula, ya que seria muy emocionante ver como se fueron desarrollando los acontecimientos de gary y su familia en medio de esa pandemia.
Fuera de estas cosas, la pelicula es toda una maravilla visual.
En fin, Si quieres disfrutar de un rato de emocion, terror, drama y accion, sin duda alguna te recomiendo guerra mundial z, no te decepcionara y te mantendra sentado desde el principio hasta el final. Ya que la actuacion de Brad pitt, Daniella Kertesz, entre otros. fue sumamente destacada, tipico de una pelicula de alto calibre.
