Review Film: PADDINGTON 2 (2017)

Review by @film-trail · 3014d · of Paddington 2

It's Hard encounters live-action / animated sorts of Paddington 2 in Hollywood production. A funny family spectacle without the exploitation of slapstick humor, touching behind a simple, light but tall-based aesthetic story. Like its predecessor, the film puts forward the adventures of the titular character (voiced by Ben Whishaw), the bear with a red hat and blue coat, now living a harmonious life with the Brown family at Windsor Gardens, London. The adventures of Paddington are so pure, for it is not a matter of seeking treasure or defeating criminals, but of giving the best gift to their beloved family, There is still an antagonist, Phoenix Buchanan (Hugh Grant) a former top actor whose career is dimming. The threat that he presents to the protagonist is also driven ambition to collect hidden treasures in various corners of London. But the playwright duo Paul King (also directed) and Simon Farnaby, can emphasize that Paddington's motivation is to give pop-ups to his aunt Lucy (voiced Imelda Staunton), as his 100th birthday present. No more and no less. While the process of chasing a total criminal is charged to the Brown family.

The book containing the various landmarks of London was so meaningful because Paddington hoped to show the whole town to Lucy, who had always failed to make the dream of setting foot in London. The point is enough to be the foundation, as well as the core of emotional embroidery groove. As an assertion of that role, King prepares imaginative sequences when the world of books is manifested into reality, with the audience going to be in Lucy's position, mesmerized by the visuals, touched his heart when he invited Paddington around the cartons version of London, Visual is an element really maximized by King and team. The setting, whether indoor or outdoor, is wrapped in soft colors while occasionally switching to the classic impression sparkle in the memorabilia shop. The fashion is not left to entertain the eyes, especially the pink prisoner uniforms that like to state how the world where Paddington lived is a place where it is always good. Plus some unique and quirky styling styles (prison break scenes to be the best example), it would not be an exaggeration to think that Paddington 2 involved Wes Anderson's intervention.

Related to comedy, Paddington 2 is reluctant to get caught up in the familiar pattern of live-action / animation dish (read: like many made in Hollywood). Although slapstick still accompanies, but used sufficiently, not to too often throw his character to and fro. The rest is a picture of an anomaly situation, like a dance full of the joys of effective prisoners producing laughter, or at least giving the audience a bliss. Not a row of comedies that will stay long in the memory, but simply facilitate a fun-watching experience, In the ranks of players, Hugh Grant created villains that fit the feel of the movie. Evil, but the role also raises the cuteness, let alone about the character who flicked the actor as a "dangerous profession" because of the duty "serve lies". Brendan Gleeson as Knuckles, a prisoner as well as a dreaded chef of other prisoners, is able to master the screen at every appearance. While the sound of Ben Whishaw keeps Paddington always a center that is easy to be liked, while also supported the stupid behavior plus the adorable looks. As a family spectacle, Paddington 2 is definitely a complete package.
