Westworld es una serie que desde su primer capítulo me encantó, su trama, sus giros en la historia, personajes, música, ambientación. Era una serie excelentemente realizada y en ese momento estaba en mi top de series favoritas, luego llego su segunda temporada y mi gusto por esa serie aumento aún más, mucho más dramas, giros de trama inesperados, desarrollo de personaje, la música continuaba siendo espectacular y además, estas dos primeras temporadas, tuvieron finales espectaculares, que te dejaban con las ganas de mucho más.
Pero luego llego la tercera temporada, la cual, no considero que sea del todo mala, pero perdió por completo la esencia y carisma de las dos primeras, ya no había tantos misterios ni giros de tramas que te dejaran con la boca abierta, hay momentos buenos, por su puesto, pero esta 3era temporada se enfocó mucho más en la acción y aunque en añadieron al casting a Aaron Paul, el cual interpreto a Jesse Pinkman en mi serie favorita: Breaking Bad, no aporto tanto a la historia, o al menos no aporto al 100%, aunque si tiene buenos momentos e interesantes, pero en sí, esta tercera temporada se aleja demasiado de su origen.
Sin embargo, la 4ta temporada que acaba de terminar vuelve a sus raíces, aunque no tanto como las dos primeras temporadas, pero en general hay un misterio bastante interesante la cual te hace estar alerta sobre lo que va a pasar en el capítulo y en los siguientes. No quiero entrar en spoilers sobre esta temporada, pero realmente es bastante buena.
Westworld se centra en un parque temático en el Lejano Oeste, el cual está lleno de robots que simulan vivir en esa “realidad”, pero ellos son simples “juguetes” para los humanos que van hacia ese lugar en busca de aventura, en búsqueda de una historia interesante y también para dar a relucir sus más profundos deseos. Pero todo se descontrola, cuando uno de estos “robots” empieza a generar conciencia y una serie de eventos devastadores empiezan a ocurrir.
Esta serie está basada en una película bastante antigua, de hecho hay varias películas, las cuales aún no he visto, pero las veré en algún momento. Y ya hablando de esta 4ta temporada, la cual me alegro que haya vuelto un poco a sus raíces, ya que realmente esta es una serie con una historia bastante interesante y bastante atrapante. Y por como termino el último capítulo de la 4ta temporada, parece que van a volver aún más a lo que se vio en las primeras dos temporadas, espero que realmente sea así. Aunque todavía no está confirmada una 5ta temporada, creo que es bastante lógico que haya una, y también creo que esa podría ser la última temporada de la serie y la que dé por fin un cierre a esta gran historia.
Westworld is a series that from its first episode I loved, its plot, its twists in the story, characters, music, setting. It was an excellently made series and at that time it was in my top favorite series, then came its second season and my love for that series increased even more, much more drama, unexpected plot twists, character development, the music continued to be spectacular and also, these first two seasons, had spectacular endings, which left you wanting much more.
But then came the third season, which, I do not consider it to be all bad, but it completely lost the essence and charisma of the first two, there were not so many mysteries or plot twists that left you with your mouth open, there are good moments, of course, but this 3rd season focused much more on action and although they added Aaron Paul to the casting, who played Jesse Pinkman in my favorite series: Breaking Bad, he did not contribute so much to the story, or at least he did not contribute 100%, although it does have good and interesting moments, but in itself, this third season is too far away from its origin.
However, the 4th season that just ended returns to its roots, although not as much as the first two seasons, but overall there is a pretty interesting mystery which keeps you on your toes about what is going to happen in the chapter and the following ones. I don't want to go into spoilers about this season, but it really is quite good.
Westworld centers on a theme park in the Wild West, which is full of robots that pretend to live in that "reality", but they are mere "toys" for humans who go there in search of adventure, in search of an interesting story and also to bring out their deepest desires. But everything gets out of control, when one of these "robots" begins to generate consciousness and a series of devastating events begin to occur.
This series is based on a fairly old movie, in fact there are several movies, which I haven't seen yet, but I will see them at some point. And speaking of this 4th season, I'm glad it has returned to its roots, because this is really a series with a very interesting and catchy story. And by the way the last episode of the 4th season ended, it seems that they are going to return even more to what was seen in the first two seasons, I hope it really is so. Although a 5th season is not yet confirmed, I think it is quite logical that there will be one, and I also think that this could be the last season of the series and the one that finally gives closure to this great story.
