Some of the most relevant themes that Toy Story 4 touches is friendship and fidelity, in addition to teamwork and camaraderie. The first time I saw Toy Story I was 8 years old. I remember keeping an eye on my toys to surprise them into the unlikely fact that they would come to life. I loved the team consisting of Rex, Slinki, Mrs. Potato Head and Wife, Jessie, Rex, Hamm and Target Shooting. The animation was very different from other animated movies I had seen at the time. This visual aspect appealed to me a lot, because there was more to it than just a cartoonish touch. Pixar renewed the concept of computer animation, and 24 years later it continues to renew it.
La primera vez que vi Toy Story tenía 8 años. Recuerdo que vigilaba a mis juguetes para sorprenderlos en el improbable hecho de que cobrarán vida. Amaba al equipo integrado por Rex, slinki, Sr cara de papá y esposa,Jessie, Rex, Hamm y Tiro al blanco. La animación era muy distinta a otras películas animadas que había visto para ese entonces. Este aspecto visual me atraía mucho, porque había más que un simple toque caricaturesco. Pixar renovó el concepto de la animación por computadora, y 24 años después lo sigue renovando.

Algo de elogiar en Pixar y sus mentes maestras, desde luego.
Leaving aside the wonderful world of animation that Toy Story has achieved, I must focus on another equally important point: the story. The fourth film is not more of the same, perhaps it lacked some of that essence with which the other 3 were forged, but throughout 100 minutes you are so amazed that you forget this particular aspect. La cuarta película no es más de lo mismo, quizás le faltó algo de esa esencia con la que las otras 3 se forjaron, pero a lo largo de 100 minutos te quedas tan maravillado que olvidas este aspecto en particular. La crisis existencial vuelve a la palestra, esta vez, en otro juguete. La última historia se conecta de alguna forma con la primera, y poco a poco vas recordando las pasadas aventuras de nuestros héroes de juguete.
How to forget a Buzz who thought he was a space soldier? Woody insisted on showing him what "a simple toy" really was and, boy, was Buzz affected by the sad reality of his plastic body and little lights. He had a hard time accepting himself. He even lost an arm! But then he overcame the existential crisis and was even able to "fall in style." Years later, history repeats itself, this time in a toy that is not much of a toy. Forky, that's the name of the new man involved in the existential crisis, wants to go back to the trash at all costs, the place where all the parts that made up his body came from. He knows that he doesn't belong there, unlike a Buzz who didn't want to accept him. Woody has already been through that mistake, and this time he wants to patch it up somehow.

Andy has been left behind, although no boy or girl will be like him and this is perhaps something difficult for Woody to accept. Woody feels that need to rescue what little Andy left in him. Bo Peep came back to remind Woody of his purpose in the world. He not only looks for the smile in children, but also in toys. Seeing smiles on other faces encourages us to continue fighting for something more beautiful in this globe of countries and continents. Toy Story 4 is the end of the adventures of Buzz and Woody, and the great team that they had formed with all the toys (or at least those that survived until the 4th movie). Fue una aventura con un cierre agradable y satisfactorio, tal vez un poco amargo, pero te das cuenta de que la historia necesitaba algo agridulce para fundir al negro definitivamente… o al menos por un tiempo.
