Good company, a couple of drinks, great food and a movie spectacular happened last night...No, not Netflix and a packet of corn chips...We went out!
Last night my wife Faith and I went to see the latest instalment of Star Wars. It was a pretty special event as we went to the same cinema that I saw the first Start Wars film in in 42 years ago. You can read about it by following the Star Wars link above if you like.
We went for a meal at Lucky Lupita's a Mexican and Latin American restaurant-favourite of ours. We enjoyed some pretty very good food and I had a couple of drinks, some gin concoction containing gin, apple schnapps, hibiscus essence, lime and lemonade...It was nice, if a little fancier than I would normally drink.
After dinner we took a walk along O'Connell Street for a half hour before heading back to the theatre for the movie which was very good in my opinion. Don't worry, I'm not going to give any spoilers.
It was a fairly late night as we ended up hitting a café after the movie for a coffee and cake [we shared a baked apple cheesecake slice] and headed home around 1am.
I entitled this post date night but we don't really have a date-night-ethos...Every night is date night in my household, just the same as every day is Valentines Day. Life's too short to do that sort of stuff occasionally. Well, that's our take on it anyway.
Today we are off to have lunch with a friend of ours in the city. She's working but has a 90 minute lunch break so ample time to eat, talk some shit, and get back to work in plenty of time. Two of our vehicles need wheel-alignments and balances also so we'll drop them off, go for a walk and then come back to get them...It's all about multi-tasking.
Later that night...Well it's new years eve...We're heading over to my mum in-laws for dinner and to hang out with her. We typically don't go out on new years eve...Too many wankers out there. Besides, it's just another night to us...Doesn't mean that much at all.
Anyway, there's another update on our freestylin' week which has rolled out well. What's happening tomorrow? Couldn't tell you...That's the beauty of freestylin'...Anything can happen.
