Justo ayer tuve la oportunidad de ver la película de Peter and Wendy el más reciente live action de Disney, los cuales ya sabemos no tiene buena reputación entre los fanáticos que si bien son grandes éxitos en taquilla por apostar tanto a la nostalgia en realidad resultan ser bastante mediocres en historia y en muchos otros aspectos, por lo tanto me preguntepero será que en esta ocasión esta película conseguirá destacar de otros proyectos?.
Just yesterday I had the opportunity to see the movie Peter and Wendy, the most recent Disney live action, which we already know does not have a good reputation among fans that although they are great successes at the box office for betting so much on nostalgia in reality turn out to be quite mediocre in story and in many other aspects, so I wondered but will this time this film will manage to stand out from other projects?
Hay que empezar destacando que a diferencia de su contraparte animada la película tiene dos protagonista peter y wendy la cual toma un papel importante el cual no se siente para nada forzado y más que adecuado como hilo conductor de toda la trama, algo que la verdad si se sintió fuera de lugar fue el cambio de personalidad de tinker bell, el cual ya no es destacado y la realidad es que solo existe en la trama para hacer volar a los protagonista y usarla a conveniencia del guión, pero casi no tiene personalidad, un punto bastante fuerte es el capitán garfio la actuación es increíble, sus apariciones son de temer, tiene el mismo aire que su versión animada pero con un toque imponente que da hasta miedo en ciertos puntos, acompañado de canciones su tripulación acordes a la trama, y además se molestan en darle un origen bastante acertado.
We must begin by emphasizing that unlike its animated counterpart the film has two main characters Peter and Wendy who takes an important role which does not feel at all forced and more than adequate as the thread of the whole plot, something that really felt out of place was the change of personality of Tinker Bell, which is no longer prominent and the reality is that it only exists in the plot to make the protagonists fly and use it at the convenience of the script, but he has almost no personality, a very strong point is Captain Hook the acting is incredible, his appearances are to be feared, he has the same air as his animated version but with an imposing touch that is even scary at certain points, accompanied by songs his crew according to the plot, and also they bother to give him a very successful origin.
Pero el gran problema de la película es que cuenta el origen de algunos personajes pero otros se quedan en el olvido, los pasan a segundo plano y solo sirven como telón de fondo, tiene agujeros de guión que dices como rayos van a resolver esto o como me van a justificar esta parte de la película la cual queda en blanco y jamas es dicha, ahora sí advertencia de spoilers, Peter Pan muere pero es raro por que revive y no sabes si es por que en nunca jamás todos son inmortales o es por que una amiga realizo un ritual para salvarlo pero tampoco explican mucho de el poder de esta amiga la cual si vieron la versión animada sabrán quien es y no tendrá grandes apariciones, la realidad es que tiene un aire muy oscuro la pelicula que le sienta bien pero tiene efectos especiales mediocres de pasadas generaciones y a su ves tiene momentos infantiles muy para niños, entonces se queda a medio camino entre un producto familiar y un producto oscuro, no es una mala pelicula si reocmiendo verla es muy entretenida, pero no es una gran obra como lo fue su pelicula animada, solo sirve como mero entretenimiento de fin de semana.
But the big problem of the movie is that it tells the origin of some characters but others are left in oblivion, they pass to the background and only serve as a backdrop, it has script holes that you say how the hell are they going to solve this or how are they going to justify this part of the movie which is blank and is never said, Now spoiler warning, Peter Pan dies but it's weird because he revives and you don't know if it's because in Neverland everyone is immortal or it's because a friend performed a ritual to save him but they don't explain much about the power of this friend which if you saw the animated version you will know who she is and she won't have big appearances, the reality is that the movie has a very dark air that suits him well but has mediocre special effects of past generations and in turn has very childish moments for children, then it is halfway between a family product and a dark product, it is not a bad movie if I recommend watching it is very entertaining, but it is not a great work as was his animated film, it only serves as mere weekend entertainment.
