Comedy is a genre that I love since I was a child. Although I have not connected with all of them because they use a different style in which they end up being very trite, so it ends up ending with the emotion of the viewer. Or simply the performances, dialogues do not maintain the essence during most of the movie. In the case of "Game Night" being a comic story that at times ceases to be so to take a more serious tone, manages to combine these nuances resulting in entertaining us throughout the film.
La comedia es un genero que me encanta desde pequeña. A pesar de que no he conectado con todas ya que usan un estilo diferente en el cual terminan siendo muy trilladas, por lo que termina acabando con la emoción del espectador. O simplemente las actuaciones, dialogos no mantienen la esencia durante la mayor parte de la pelicula. En el caso de "Noche de Juegos" al ser una historia comica que en momentos deja de serlo para tomar un tono mas serio, logra combinar esos matices dando como resultado entretenernos durante toda la pelicula.
The plot begins when Max (Jason Bateman) and Annie (Rachel Mcadams) meet at a quiz game in a bar. As time goes by, the passion that brought them together (the love of games) grows stronger and stronger. When they finally get married, the couple becomes best friends and every weekend they play a game game called "game night", which consists of going to Max and Annie's house to hang out playing board games or mime games.
Game night became a tradition for everyone, but after the separation of a couple who were their friends they stopped inviting the husband and neighboring cop; Gary (Jesse Plemons) who acts strange after their divorce.
La trama inicia cuando Max (Jason Bateman) y Annie (Rachel Mcadams) se conocen en una partida de juegos sobre preguntas en un bar. Al pasar el tiempo la pasión que los unió (el amor a los juegos) aumenta cada vez más. Cuando logran por fin casarse, la pareja hace mejores amigos y cada fin de semana realizan unas partidas de juegos nombradas “noches de juegos”, la cual consiste en ir a casa de Max y Annie a pasar el rato jugando juegos de mesa o de mímicas.
La noche de juegos se volvió una tradición para todos, pero tras la separación de una pareja que eran sus amigos ellos dejaron de invitar al esposo y policía vecino; Gary (Jesse Plemons) quien actúa extraño después de su divorcio.
Max's brother Brooks (Kyle Chandler) comes to town for work. Brooks is a man with a lot of money and hidden business dealings, his brother Max has always been intimidated by him and his accomplishments. Brooks decides to spend a few game nights with his friends and brother; so he decides to have the ultimate game night at his luxurious home, but this time the game night takes a different turn. Now it consists of finding the person who is going to be kidnapped by some actors hired by Brooks and win a prize, his luxurious car.
However, their plan gets out of control when real kidnappers arrive to take Brooks and interrupt the arrival of the real actors, but his friends and brother believe it is part of the game he mentioned earlier. They decide to follow the clues planted by the actors' company as if it were the normal game.
El hermano de Max; Brooks (Kyle Chandler) llega a la ciudad por motivos de trabajos. Brooks es un hombre con mucho dinero y negocios ocultos, su hermano Max siempre se ha sentido intimidado por él y sus logros. Brooks decide pasar unas noches de juegos con sus amigos y hermano; así que decide realizar la mejor noche de juegos en su lujosa casa, pero esta vez la noche de juegos toma un rumbo diferente. Ahora consiste en encontrar a la persona que van a secuestrar unos actores contratados por Brooks y ganar un premio, su lujoso auto.
Sin embargo, su plan se sale de control cuando llegan unos secuestradores reales para llevarse a Brooks e interrumpir la llegada de los verdaderos actores, pero sus amigos y su hermano creen que es parte del juego que menciono él anteriormente. Deciden seguir las pistas plantadas por la empresa de actores como si fuera el juego normal.
It isn't until hours after they are on the trail that the friends realize that the real actors are late and realize they have been duped. Now they find themselves in real trouble and unable to call the police because everything is caused by Brooks being a black market dealer and if the police find out they will have him arrested. The friends and the brother and his partner must find a way to get Brooks back through an exchange.
As the true situation was realized the suspense began to build. The twist of the game night was undoubtedly the best part.
No es sino a las horas de estar tras las pistas que los amigos se dan cuenta que los actores reales llegan tarde y se dan cuenta que fueron engañados. Ahora se encuentran en problemas reales y sin poder llamar a la policía porque todo es causado gracias a que Brooks es traficante del mercado negro y si la policía se entera lo llevan arrestado. Los amigos y el hermano con su pareja deben de encontrar la forma de recuperar a Brooks por medio de un intercambio.
Al darse cuenta de la verdadera situación el suspenso comenzó a surgir. El giro que tuvo la noche de juegos fue sin duda la mejor parte.
The performance of Jason Bateman makes us see why he has that recognition in the world of comedy. Rachel Mcadams did an excellent job in her role and gave him that touch and complement. A game night full of comedy, madness and suspense. I recommend this fun film if you haven't enjoyed it yet.
La interpretación de Jason Bateman nos hace ver porque tiene ese reconocimiento en el mundo de la comedia. Por su parte Rachel Mcadams hizo un excelente trabajo en su rol y le dio ese toque y complemento. Una noche de juegos llena de comedia, locura y suspensos. Les recomiendo este divertido filme si aún no la han disfrutado.
