En un viaje familiar a esquiar, Cady(Violet McGraw) sufre un accidente automovilístico donde sus padres pierden la vida. Bueno, tenemos otra película donde un robot se vuelve en contra de su creador y supera cualquier espectativa inicial, de forma nefasta, que este tuviera. Por ese lado no hay ninguna premisa nueva, además de que se convierta en asesina, que es otra cosa que ya habíamos visto en películas como Chucky o Anabelle, pero esta muñeca tiene características que si la distinguen que las nombradas anteriormente.
Megan es casi fashionista, creo que lo que más me llamó la atención son los outfit jajaja... También, baila genial y canta espectacular, unos detalles que en lugar de verse ridículos, logran darle un toque diferente y hasta cómico. Esto es lo que más resaltaría del personaje, que combina muy bien la fantasía, crueldad y un humor sutil, pero efectivo. Por ejemplo: hay una parte donde la pobre muñeca queda despelucada y sigue hablando como si nada jajaja... Tienen que ver la escena para entender. |

La película la adaptaron muy bien a la actualidad, porque gracias a esas características especiales que imprimieron en la personalidad de la muñeca, TikTok está repleto de personas imitando las escenas de baile, así que es un punto a favor a nivel publicitario. La conexión de la muñeca con Cady estuvo bien lograda, por ese lado no tengo quejas.
Hay momentos incómodos a nivel de autoridad, que me pareció curioso que los añadieron porque pueden ser muy reales. Me refiero al hecho de a quién le hace caso el niño(a), porque a veces entre mamá y papá hay esas luchas de "quién manda", o cuando pasa más tiempo con la niñera y eso lo lleva a obedecerla más a ella que a los propios padres. Un buen detalle. |

| Algo que no me gustó es que le dedicaron mucho tiempo a explicarnos todo el detalle técnico de la muñeca, pero supongo que necesitaban relleno para alargar la trama. Tampoco soporté a la actriz que hizo el papel de Gemma, de verdad lo lamento, pero siento que le estaba haciendo la competencia a Kristen Stewart con su falta de expresión 😅 Es decir, amiga se murió tu hermana, yo me estaría muriendo de dolor. Le daban cualquier mala noticia y su actitud era como: "bueno, ¿quién tiene hambre?" 😂 Ay no, le faltó emoción a esa mujer. | One thing I didn't like is that they spent a lot of time explaining all the technical detail of the doll, but I guess they needed filler to lengthen the plot. | En general esta bien, es decir, no la considero de terror salvo por una que otra escena que transmite un poco de suspenso, pero es bastante ligera en ese sentido. Me gustó más por la actitud dominante y manipuladora de la muñeca, además de que es super sincera. Sin ser la película del año, te distraes un rato.
