Hoy vengo a recomendarles dos películas de suspenso y terror psicológico, que se les encantará a aquellos que disfruten de éste género. Cabe aclarar que es una reseña libre de spoiler.

La película empieza mostrándonos a 8 amigos que están reunidos para cenar, sin saber que esa misma noche va a pasar un cometa que provocó que sucedieran muchas cosas extrañas la ultima vez que apareció.

The film begins showing us 8 friends who are gathered for dinner, not knowing that that same night a comet is going to pass by, which caused many strange things to happen the last time it appeared.

De la nada, los celulares se rompen, se va la señal, el internet, y como si fuera poco se les va la luz. Aquí se dan cuenta que todo el vecindario está sin luz excepto una casa, así que dos de ellos, deciden dirigirse hacia allá a pedir ayuda. Al volver a la casa se notan muy alterados e incluso uno de ellos sangrando; al ver esto, los demás se alteran y preguntan que pasó, a lo que uno de ellos responde lo siguiente: "caminé dos cuadras, me acerqué a la ventana de esa casa y vi a 8 personas que eran idénticas a ustedes, eran ustedes". En este punto todo explota, porque cuando te enteras de todo lo que realmente está pasando, cobra todo el sentido y a la vez lo pierde, así que si quieres ver una película que te ponga a pensar y que sea inquietante, te la recomiendo.

Out of nowhere, the cell phones break, the signal goes out, the internet, and as if that wasn't enough, the electricity goes out. Here they realize that the whole neighborhood is without power except for one house, so two of them decide to go there to ask for help. When they return to the house they are very upset and even one of them is bleeding; when they see this, the others get upset and ask what happened, to which one of them answers the following: "I walked two blocks, I went to the window of that house and I saw 8 people who were identical to you, they were you". At this point everything explodes, because when you find out everything that is really going on, it makes all the sense and at the same time loses it, so if you want to see a movie that makes you think and is disturbing, I recommend it.

La película no habla acerca de el Dr. Steven, un cirujano y alcohólico en recuperación a quien hace años se le murió un paciente, el padre de un chico llamado Martin.

The film is not about Dr. Steven, a surgeon and recovering alcoholic who years ago had a patient die, the father of a boy named Martin.

Desde hace mucho tiempo Steven a tratado de limpiar por su culpa por la muerte del papá de Martin y por ello de vez en cuando lo invita a comer y le da regalos. Ha sido de algún modo un padre sustituto; pero Steven tiene su propia familia, una esposa y dos hijos a quien cuidar.

For a long time Steven has been trying to clean up his guilt over the death of Martin's dad and so he occasionally invites him over for meals and gives him gifts. He has been somewhat of a surrogate father; but Steven has his own family, a wife and two children to care for.

La historia arranca cuando Martin se empieza a obsesionar demasiado con Steven y de la nada el hijo de éste no puede caminar, no nos dicen porque, pero lo único que sabemos es que lo que le pasó a este chico está relacionado con Martin.

The story starts when Martin starts to become too obsessed with Steven and out of nowhere Steven's son can't walk, we are not told why, but the only thing we know is that what happened to this boy is related to Martin.

La forma de hablar de los personajes es muy peculiar, hablan como si no les importara lo que dijeran, pero todo el tiempo tienes la sensación o de que algo horrible va a pasar o de que algo está pasando, pues gira una constante preocupación que explota a medida que avanza. La primera "explosión " es cuando de la nada el niño no puede caminar y a partir de ahí pasan cosas peores y o lo peor (o lo mejor) de todo es que nunca explican como sucede todo. Aquí lo que podemos ver es que el Dr. Steven está siendo castigado y lo interesante es ver como lidia con ello.

The way the characters speak is very peculiar, they talk as if they don't care about what they say, but all the time you have the feeling that something horrible is going to happen or that something is happening, because there is a constant worry that explodes as it progresses. The first "explosion" is when out of nowhere the child can't walk and from then on worse things happen and the worst (or the best) of all is that they never explain how it all happens. Here what we can see is that Dr. Steven is being punished and the interesting thing is to see how he deals with it.

Es una película algo estresante, pero vale la pena verla ya que tiene un excelente elenco y unos excelentes personajes.
