Brilliant. Rich. Mighty. Become the perfect version of yourself with just one pill. NZT gives your brain the ability to work at 100%. If there is someone who has never dreamed of being cleverer in his life - or if it sounds a little rude - to remember everything he has ever read, heard, or seen, he is capable of dealing with anyone a problem faced by him, whether of a scientific, economic or cultural nature, that he can only lift a hand from a conversation to learn a foreign language or reveal the secrets of the universe. Eddie Mora (Bradley Cooper) is an inconspicuous, irresponsible writer suffering from chronic blocking, whose live change for hours when his ex-wife's brother presents him with NZT, a mysterious pill that allows people to use their full mental and physical potential . With his help, Eddie turns from an unknown slimmer into a brilliant, prosperous figure in the financial world that draws the attention of the biggest names in the industry. The problem is that it attracts the attention of people who will not stop at anything to deprive him of both his pills and his life. On top of that, NZT starts to produce unpleasant side effects.

Overall, "Limitless" is a movie with great potential. The subject is interesting and raises dozens of interesting questions. The problem is, as in many cases lately, none of these options has been developed. And where everything is over-evident and there is absolutely no need for an effort to achieve a qualitative effect - such as drug abuse and drug-taking - things are simply thrown out. So, instead of a mysterious, intelligent and deep film, we get a simple thriller with chases and a cat and mouse game that has no higher goal than entertaining and whose obligatory "surprising" finish is simply disappointing.

Still, the film is pretty fun and entertaining, and most importantly, it does not make any sense at all. Visually, it looks good, there are some pretty good solutions to the effect of the pill, which personally likes to be a speeding movement using Google Street View. Actor's performances are good, Bradley Cooper has long demonstrated his charm and here he is believable (although he feels too good to play that role that would be more appropriate to someone else) and Robert de Niro, who, as you know, are more exposed lately, although there is not much to do, makes one of his good roles. Abby Cornish is a bit "misused" (not to feel unnecessary have given her a totally unnecessary chase in the park), but it is not such a pain for dying. It is a pity that the authors of "Limitless" have wiped out a nice opportunity for something really good, but despite its shortcomings, the film, as I said, is fresh, pleasant and entertaining and I give it an entirely positive assessment. And something else. That people use only 10-15% of their brains is a myth. Just to be aware.
