One of the reasons that I paid for a Crunchyroll subscription was that I saw that the new Demon Hunter movie, Infinity Castle, was going to be available from July 28th. I watched all seasons available on Netflix last year. And I finished watching a little bit before the official release in the theatres. But I couldn't go to the theatres, of course. Probably that was one of the top anticipated movies that I had on my list, but as with many things that I get, this anxiety, the reality sometimes doesn't pay off enough.
If you didn't watch all the seasons of the anime, you still can watch it since the movie is more about fighting and you doesn't necessary need to know the characters. To be frank, even I've forgotten a bit about the backgrounds of some characters I always get confused about, like the butterfly Hachira Shinobu and her sister, Kanae. I was going to reread after I watched the movie, but I forgot; now I just read their story to remember a bit, write this post, and finally understand.
Anyways, if you are still interested in the anime, I wouldn't recommend beginning to watch from the movie; just start with the first season, which is one of the best. And after you get into a fan level, go to the movie, since the movie is loooong and it is just Part 1. It is a bit upsetting: 2h30 of movie and it will have a part 2. I would say that even for a Demon Slayer fan, that is a bit depressing. It is bad when you stop the movie to check how much is still left to end. That happened to me a couple of times.
The movie is probably 80% or more just about fights of Tanjiro and his friends against the high-level ranking demons that are below Muzan, who only appears teasing a bit, but still hiding until the last moment. But the fight is between Tanjiro + the Hachira Giyu Tomioka against the upper-level demon Akaza. The fight probably lasts almost 1 hour, which is a bit too much, but still has some good moments. Especially when the demon reveals the suffered history that for sure touches our hearts. That is a mark of the anime: even behind the most cruel villains, a suffered story that makes us feel the pain as humans.
The anime, for sure, is a must too if you are a fan of Tanjiro and his adventures. But still, it was made in a way for sure to get more money; you didn't need to conclude this story with such long movies. I just hope that the story concludes with Part 2. I will get very tired if there is a Part 3. But I like these debates about evil and good, and the demon Akaza story brings that antithesis. A strong demon that just focused his demon life on getting stronger and beating the weak, a demon that you get angry about since he killed the popular fire Hachira Kyojuro Rengoku in a season of the anime. Now I want to see a fight with the king demon Muzan finally, and of course see the end of the upper-level demon Doma that killed the butterfly Hachira and her sister.

Uma das razões pelas quais eu paguei por uma assinatura do Crunchyroll foi porque vi que o novo filme de Demon Slayer, Infinity Castle, estaria disponível a partir de 28 de julho. Eu assisti a todas as temporadas disponíveis na Netflix no ano passado. E terminei de assistir um pouco antes do lançamento oficial nos cinemas. Mas eu não poderia ir aos cinemas, é claro. Provavelmente esse era um dos filmes mais aguardados que eu tinha na minha lista, mas, como acontece com muitas coisas que eu consigo, essa ansiedade, às vezes, faz com que a realidade não compense o suficiente.
Se você não assistiu a todas as temporadas do anime, ainda pode assistir, já que o filme é mais sobre lutas e você não precisa necessariamente conhecer os personagens. Para ser sincero, até eu esqueci um pouco sobre os passados de alguns personagens que sempre me confundem, como a Hashira borboleta Shinobu e sua irmã, Kanae. Eu ia reler depois de assistir ao filme, mas esqueci; agora eu apenas li a história delas para lembrar um pouco, escrever este post e finalmente entender.
De qualquer forma, se você ainda estiver interessado no anime, eu não recomendaria começar a assistir pelo filme; apenas comece pela primeira temporada, que é uma das melhores. E depois que você chegar ao nível de fã, vá para o filme, já que o filme é loooongo e é apenas a Parte 1. É um pouco chateante: 2h30 de filme e ele terá uma Parte 2. Eu diria que até mesmo para um fã de Demon Slayer, isso é um pouco deprimente. É ruim quando você pausa o filme para verificar quanto ainda falta para terminar. Isso aconteceu comigo algumas vezes.
O filme provavelmente é 80% ou mais apenas sobre as lutas de Tanjiro e seus amigos contra os demônios de alto nível que estão abaixo de Muzan, que aparece apenas provocando um pouco, mas ainda se escondendo até o último momento. Mas a luta é entre Tanjiro + a Hashira Giyu Tomioka contra o demônio de alto nível Akaza. A luta provavelmente dura quase 1 hora, o que é um pouco demais, mas ainda tem alguns bons momentos. Especialmente quando o demônio revela o passado sofrido que com certeza toca nossos corações. Essa é uma marca do anime: mesmo por trás dos vilões mais cruéis, uma história sofrida que nos faz sentir a dor como humanos.
O anime, com certeza, também é obrigatório se você é fã de Tanjiro e suas aventuras. Mas ainda assim, ele foi feito de uma maneira que com certeza visa ganhar mais dinheiro; você não precisava concluir essa história com filmes tão longos. Eu só espero que a história termine com a Parte 2. Eu ficaria muito cansado se houvesse uma Parte 3. Mas eu gosto desses debates sobre o mal e o bem, e a história do demônio Akaza traz essa antítese. Um demônio forte que apenas focou sua vida de demônio em ficar mais forte e derrotar os fracos, um demônio pelo qual você fica com raiva já que ele matou o popular Hashira do fogo Kyojuro Rengoku em uma temporada do anime. Agora eu quero ver uma luta com o rei demônio Muzan finalmente, e é claro ver o fim do demônio de alto nível Doma que matou a Hashira borboleta e sua irmã.
