Well, I signed up for Crunchyroll, paid 10$ to have access to anime that I didn't have access to before, especially to the new season of Hell's Paradise that was released at the beginning of this year, and it would probably take years to see on Netflix. So my thoughts about the anime? It is still great. It changed a bit of some perspectives, but still I think it is worth it.

My review of the first season brought some concepts of life and death paradigms in different characters like Gabimaru and Sagiri. A fearful shinobi who wouldn't fear death started to fear death since he wanted to get back to his wife, and the woman samurai raised in a misogynistic ancient Japan showed more power than ever. And the main goal was reaching the famous Elixir of eternal life.
The end of the season introduced a bit of the Lord Tensen members, the immortal (almost) residents of the island that are mixed with plant DNA, so they regrow all the time. They have ways to be defeated; this is when the concept of Tao grew in the anime. If you remember Saint Seiya, it has a similar concept to the Cosmos hehe. Mostly the flow of energy in all living and non-living beings. But in these entities, it is bigger. And these amazing beings have weak points called Tanden; if it is hit, they can't regenerate.
So basically, the second season was Gabimaru, Sagiri, plus other samurai and prisoners that started to cooperate to leave the Island alive. In all the episodes, you have some philosophical debates concerning revenge or the meaning of life. Like the fight between the blind samurai Shion and the Tensen Mu Dan. Shion brings to the table that the real meaning of life is that you know it will end. He also brings the concept that the real power comes from the balance of opposites: weakness and power, and life and death, which is Yin Yang. By the way, most of the Tensen are emotionally bored since they can't die.
Like the first season, season 2 finished with 12 episodes, and of course a cliffhanger that brought the story the new batch of samurai and ninjas sent from the Shogunate to kill everyone, including the samurai that were there, and they started to get attached to the remaining prisoners. This group is led by the Yamada samurai Shugen, who is more focused on a linear division between what is good and evil, and he is focused on killing all prisoners regardless of their origin. So it is a mad war between the samurai + prisoners against the remaining Tensen group and also now the new batch of samurai and ninjas.

The next season I read is forecasted to be released for the end of 2027 or the beginning of 2028. That is too much; I will need to get the manga somewhere so I can read about the story. Or I just focus on other interesting releases like the ending movie of Demon Slayer, the Infinity Castle movie. But anyways, the two seasons of Hell's Paradise are worth watching.
Bem, eu assinei o Crunchyroll, paguei 10 dólares para ter acesso a animes aos quais eu não tinha acesso antes, especialmente à nova temporada de Hell's Paradise, que foi lançada no início deste ano e que provavelmente levaria anos para chegar à Netflix. Então, meus pensamentos sobre o anime? Continua ótimo. Mudou um pouco algumas perspectivas, mas ainda acho que vale a pena.

Minha análise da primeira temporada trouxe alguns conceitos sobre paradigmas de vida e morte em diferentes personagens, como Gabimaru e Sagiri. Um shinobi temido que não temia a morte passou a temê-la porque queria voltar para sua esposa, e a mulher samurai, criada em um Japão antigo misógino, demonstrou mais força do que nunca. E o principal objetivo era alcançar o famoso Elixir da vida eterna.
O final da temporada apresentou um pouco dos membros dos Lordes Tensen, os residentes (quase) imortais da ilha, que são misturados com DNA de plantas, então eles se regeneram o tempo todo. Eles têm maneiras de serem derrotados, e é aí que o conceito de Tao ganhou importância no anime; se você se lembra de Cavaleiros do Zodíaco, ele tem um conceito semelhante ao do Cosmo hehe. Basicamente, é o fluxo de energia em todos os seres vivos e não vivos. Mas nessas entidades ele é muito maior. E esses seres incríveis têm pontos fracos chamados Tanden; se eles forem atingidos, eles não conseguem se regenerar.
Então, basicamente, a segunda temporada foi sobre Gabimaru, Sagiri, além de outros samurais e prisioneiros que começaram a cooperar para sair da ilha com vida. Em todos os episódios, há alguns debates filosóficos sobre vingança e o significado da vida. Como a luta entre o samurai cego Shion e o Tensen Mu Dan. Shion traz à tona que o verdadeiro significado da vida é saber que ela terá um fim. Ele também apresenta o conceito de que o verdadeiro poder vem do equilíbrio dos opostos: fraqueza e força, vida e morte, que é o Yin Yang. Aliás, a maioria dos Tensen está emocionalmente entediada, já que não pode morrer.
Assim como a primeira temporada, a segunda terminou com 12 episódios e, claro, um cliffhanger que trouxe para a história um novo grupo de samurais e ninjas enviados pelo Shogunato para matar todos, incluindo os samurais que já estavam lá, e que haviam começado a se apegar aos prisioneiros restantes. Esse grupo é liderado pelo samurai Yamada Shugen, que é mais focado em uma divisão linear entre o bem e o mal, e está determinado a matar todos os prisioneiros, independentemente de sua origem. Então, é uma guerra insana entre os samurais + prisioneiros contra o grupo restante dos Tensen e também contra esse novo grupo de samurais e ninjas.

Pelo que li, a próxima temporada está prevista para ser lançada no final de 2027 ou no início de 2028. Isso é tempo demais; vou precisar encontrar o mangá em algum lugar para poder continuar lendo a história. Ou simplesmente focar em outros lançamentos interessantes, como o filme final de Demon Slayer, o filme Infinity Castle. Mas, de qualquer forma, as duas temporadas de Hell's Paradise valem muito a pena assistir.
