Hello, hivers! I hope you are having a fantastic week. It's an absolute pleasure to say hello, I've missed being around. After going through all the stress of the exams of my last year in college, being free feels... peaceful and a bit strange at times. But well, the thing is that today I want to talk about Sonic and his movie adaptation. I know it's been a while since its release, but as usual, I watch movies after no one is talking about them anymore and I swear it's not intentional.
About the premiere
Sonic the Hedgehog, originally a saga of video games from Sega Corporation, was born as a way to compete against Nintendo's Mario Bros, becoming, at the time, eternal rivals (Like Leones del Caracas vs Navegantes del Magallanes hahaha).
The design of that Sonic was even disturbing, in my opinion; his teeth were the worst because I think they were too human to be from a cartoon, I don't know if I'm making myself clear... He looked like Sonic, but on drugs.
The thing is that it received so much criticism, that they delayed the release to modify it, and officially in the year 2020, Sonic, The Hedgehog was released. And with that design, they won the lottery, it was the best Sonic they could do, I loved it. His facial expressions are the best. Later, in April 2022, the sequel was released.
Argument
Sonic 1
In the first movie, we are shown the story of Sonic, a blue hedgehog with super speed, quite hyperactive. To escape from a tribe that wanted to kidnap him for his powers, he fled to planet Earth, and from that moment he lived hidden, but always watching the neighbors of Green Hills.
His favorite neighbor is Tom, or as he calls him, Lord Dona. A well-liked police officer in the city. But despite this, the truth is that Sonic felt very lonely in the world and longed for friends. 
Beginning the chase, again, Lord Dona helps Sonic escape, and in the journey of this whole story, the goal is to defeat Dr. Robotnik, who is played by Jim Carrey. And yes, we see Jim Carrey, being Jim Carrey. Do you know what I mean?
Sonic 2
In the second movie, Sonic lives with Tom and his wife, "Lady Yoga". Here Sonic shows his eagerness to be a hero, and he calls himself "The Blue Justiciar", and we see that he is a batman fan hahaha. But unfortunately, he destroys more than he helps.
The central theme of this sequel is to find the master emerald to protect it from malicious hands since it has the power to create and destroy civilizations and in the wrong hands, you know what could happen...
And I won't tell you much more because I don't want to give you so many spoilers, I'd like you to see it yourselves, in case you haven't done it yet.
Curious Facts
I have never really played Sonic, but I took the task of researching very well to bring you this review, and thanks to it, I can tell you that there are many references to Sonic's video games in the movie, one of them is the effect of the bubbles in the water.
Sonic is not a good swimmer, and in the video games, he can swallow the bubbles to hold longer in the air, as if that gives him oxygen. We see that in the second movie.
Also shown is the final appearance of Dr. Robotnik used in the video games. The mustaches, bald, and with the red suit. Only the fatness was missing.
Something that I loved, is that the Latin dubbing of Sonic's voice is done by Luisito Comunica, and that's too cool, he did it very very well. When I saw the movies I didn't realize it, but now I understand why that voice was so familiar to me, and why Sonic had such a good vibe hahaha. He was amazing. The film also features Shemar Moore, who starred as Morgan in the TV series Criminal Minds, which I loved because I love that series madly.
There are several batman references. Not only Sonic is considered the "blue vigilante" but even the Batman sign adapted to Sonic appears.
Usually, movies based on video games are not so successful, but Sonic is surprised, the first movie alone grossed $320 million, and the second one grossed $400 million. Both movies had a budget of $90 million. Incredible, isn't it?
My opinion
I loved both movies. They are funny, witty, and an excellent adaptation. I laughed a lot. I think they are movies that can be watched as a family, and everyone can enjoy them regardless of age. I liked seeing Jim Carrey doing the kind of comedy that made him famous. No matter how many years go by, Jim Carrey will still be my laughter source.
Sonic's personality is the best thing about the movies. He is the best, he has an excellent sense of humor, he is too witty, and his facial expressions were my favorite. I think everyone should have a friend like Sonic. I also really liked Knuckles' personality, I think he's too cute haha. Despite his rudeness, he's quite naive, and he thinks everyone will act honorably, he reminds me of me, even though I'm not that rude.
I thought it was really cute that Sonic finally found a group of friends. I want that too, Mr stark hahaha. I know how complicated it is to find friends that you feel like you can be yourself with.
Lastly, I must confess that I can't wait to see the third movie. The post-credits scene left me wanting more.

¡Hola, hivers! Espero estén teniendo una semana increíble. Es un absoluto gusto saludarlos, la verdad extrañaba estar por acá. Luego de pasar por todo el estrés de los exámenes de mi último año en la universidad, estar libre se siente… pacífico y un poco extraño en ocasiones. Pero bueno, el caso es que hoy les quiero hablar sobre Sonic y su adaptación cinematográfica. Sé que ha pasado un tiempo desde su estreno, pero como siempre, veo las películas luego de que ya nadie habla de ellas y juro que no es intencional jajaja.
Sobre el estreno

La cuestión es que recibió tantas críticas, que retrasaron el estreno para modificarlo, y oficialmente en el año 2020, se estrenó Sonic, The Hedgehog. Y con ese diseño, sí se ganaron la lotería, fue el mejor Sonic que pudieron hacer, a mí me encantó. Sus expresiones faciales, son lo máximo. Posteriormente en abril de 2022 se estrenó la secuela.
Argumento

En la primera película nos muestran la historia de Sonic, un erizo azul con super velocidad, bastante hiperactivo. Para escapar de una tribu que lo quería raptar por sus poderes, huyó hacia el planeta tierra, y desde ese momento vivió oculto, pero siempre vigilando a los vecinos de Green Hills.
Su vecino favorito es Tom, o como él le dice, Lord Dona. Un oficial de policía bastante querido en la ciudad. Pero a pesar de ello, la verdad es que Sonic se sentía muy solo en el mundo y anhelaba tener amigos.
Comenzando la persecución, de nuevo, Lord Dona ayuda a Sonic a escapar y en el trayecto de toda esta historia el objetivo es derrotar al Dr Robotnik, el cual es interpretado por Jim Carrey. Y sí, vemos a Jim Carrey, siendo Jim Carrey. ¿Sí saben a qué me refiero?
Sonic 2
En la segunda película, Sonic vive con Tom y su esposa, “Lady Yoga”. Aquí Sonic demuestra sus ansias de ser un héroe, y él mismo se denomina “El Justiciero Azul”, y vemos que realmente es fan de batman jajaja. Pero lamentablemente, destruye más que lo que ayuda. El tema central de esta secuela es encontrar la esmeralda maestra para protegerla de manos malintencionadas, ya que esta tiene el poder de crear y destruir civilizaciones y en manos equivocadas, ya saben que podría pasar…
Y la verdad no les cuento mucho más porque tampoco quiero hacerles tantos spoilers, me gustaría que la vieran ustedes mismos, en caso de que no lo hayan hecho.
Datos Curiosos
Realmente nunca he jugado Sonic, pero me tomé la tarea de investigar muy bien para traerles este review y gracias a ello, les puedo decir que hay muchas referencias de los videojuegos de Sonic en la película, una de ellas, es el efecto de las burbujas en el agua.
Sonic no es un buen nadador, y en los videojuegos, puede tragarse las burbujas para aguantar más tiempo en el aire, como si eso le diera oxígeno. Eso lo vemos en la segunda película.
También se muestra la apariencia final del Dr Robotnik que usa en los videojuegos. Los bigotes, calvo y con el traje rojo. Realmente solo faltó la gordura.
Algo que me encantó, es que el doblaje al español de la voz de Sonic lo hace Luisito Comunica, y eso es demasiado genial, de verdad lo hizo muy muy bien. Cuando vi las películas no me di cuenta, pero ahora entiendo porque se me hacía tan conocida esa voz, y porque tenía tan buena vibra Sonic jajajaja. Estuvo increíble.
En la cinta también aparece Shemar Moore, quien actuó como Morgan en la serie de TV Criminal Minds, lo que me encantó porque amo esa serie con locura.
Hay varias referencias de batman. No solo que Sonic se considere el “justiciero azul” sino que hasta aparece la señal de Batman adaptada a Sonic.
Usualmente las películas basadas en videojuegos no son tan exitosas, pero Sonic sorprendió, solo la primera película ha recaudado $320 millones de dólares, y la segunda recaudó $400 millones. Ambas películas tuvieron un presupuesto de $90 millones. Increíble, ¿no?
Mi Opinión
La verdad me encantaron ambas películas. Son divertidas, ingeniosas y una excelente adaptación. Me reí mucho. Me parece que son películas que se pueden ver en familia, y todos podrán disfrutarla sin importar la edad. Me gustó ver a Jim Carrey haciendo ese tipo de comedia con la cual se hizo famoso. No importan los años que pasen, Jim Carrey seguirá siendo motivo de mis risas.
La personalidad de Sonic, es lo mejor de las películas. Él es lo máximo, tiene un excelente sentido del humor, es demasiado ocurrente, y sus expresiones faciales fueron mis favoritas. Creo que todos deberíamos tener un amigo como Sonic. También me gustó mucho la personalidad de Knuckels, me parece demasiado lindo jaja. A pesar de su rudeza es bastante ingenuo, y cree que todos actuarán de forma honorable, me recuerda a mí, aunque yo no soy tan ruda.
Me pareció muy lindo que Sonic finalmente encontrara un grupo de amigos. Yo también quiero eso, sr stark jajaja. Sé lo complicado que es encontrar amigos con los que sientas que puedes ser tú misma.
Por último, debo confesar que estoy ansiosa por ver la tercera película. La escena post créditos me dejó con ganas de más.
