We are slowly returning to relative normality, and as a result, all the movies that Disney and the rest kept for better times (so as not to lose the money invested xD) will finally start appearing in theaters. This and next year, as well as probably the first half of 2023, will be crammed with blockbusters and superhero movies. Is that okay? It depends on how you look at it, I certainly won't see all the movies in the cinema. Mainly due to time and money, which I will definitely feel strongly considering the number of films. Besides, I chose not to support corporations until they create a product that I really need to see. I prefer to give earnings to other people who have suffered much worse during the pandemic period, they need it more. Overall, covid-19 brought all the wrong things, but it did make a few microscopic changes for the better. For example, in offices, you can do more things online because they finally understood that you can also do that, or a "window" waiting for the premiere of a movie on VOD, DVD, etc. it has shortened, and it is unlikely that what pre-Covid will be restored. The pandemic may also affect too high film budgets or acting salaries, but we will have to wait a year or two to judge it.
As for the teaser itself, it ... was boring for me. Not because we don't have known heroes here, not because "it's not the same anymore, it's not my Marvel under Endgame" (I consider it an empty slogan and a pointless argument - Marvel made films in a serial way from the beginning, and many characters were not known to a wider audience), not because it is not the Marvel atmosphere (if not for their logo, the unnecessary comedy scene at the end of the trailer and the fact that I am interested in pop culture, I would never have said that this is another Disney movie). I just didn't like it, there was nothing about it to convince me.
The fact that part of the action took place over the centuries while observing different civilizations (Gilgamesh, Pompeii, Jesus? Only I had such associations while watching?) Is interesting, maybe I will be surprised by the director's ingenuity and creativity, which she recently acquired Oscar for "Nomadland", but it didn't convince me. The reasons mentioned at the beginning probably have a small share in it, but this is mainly due to the fact that it is a corporate product that only serves to extract money. Before you call me a hypocrite, wait for my explanation. Sure, that can be said of anything, and I'd be a hypocrite if I were to say otherwise. I do not forbid anyone to watch and I am far from forbidding it in any way. I just see that my hype has long since faded away, and I don't need Marvel productions for anything. Well, I just waste my time on them and they are boring for me. For DBZ or some old childhood games, I have at least a sentiment, some curiosity, in the case of Marvel I don't even have that. In addition, they are too similar to each other, produced in tape. In this regard, Disney has outperformed all other corporations and squeezed people's wallets like lemons down to the last dollar.
Of course, I will watch the film, because it has a good, and maybe even a very good director behind it and is highly praised by Kevin Feige, but it will not change my approach to Marvel. However, I do not rule out that I will go to the cinema for it, as long as the reviews are extremely positive + the next trailers will convince me, because this one was a cluster of random scenes without any strong accent that would connect them into a whole.
