If it was a simple story like DBZ or Demon Slayer, this wouldn't be a problem. This is OP, a title that surpasses the above-mentioned titles several times in terms of plot complexity and lore. As for the characters, each of them is at least a good match for its original. Some people had doubts in a few individual cases, but these were dispelled during the screening.
When I received a casting photo from my friend Karol yesterday, I immediately reacted positively. These actors don't even need special makeup. Just buy cosplay clothes on AliExpress and work on your hair or make-up a little and you're done. Dotychczas odezwali się chyba tylko raz, mówiąc że Chopper pojawi się w S2 albo że drugi sezon w pełni skupi się na sadze Arabasta. Jak na ironię, przez lata Netflix był źródłem żartów (na co sobie ciężko pracowali, aczkolwiek wbrew pozorom nie wynika z powodów politycznych lub społecznych.), a to oni jako pierwsi zrobili adaptację anime, która jest zarówno dobrym show, jest fajna dla fanów, jak i zwykłych ludzi, którzy znają jedynie DB, Sailor Moon czy inne Pokemony. Oczywiście, nie jest to adaptacja bez wad, ale prawie nikt nie narzeka na ten serial. Jako że jestem wieloletnim fanem OP, to poznałem wielu ludzi obu płci, którzy znają mangę i anime. Poza dwójką moich kolegów, nikt nie narzekał na OP w wersji live action. A i oni nie mieli argumentów, które by uzasadniały ich krytykę. Za to my wskazaliśmy mnóstwo zalet. A że OP to jeden z najtrudniejszych materiałów do adaptacji made by Japan, to uważam te wady za jeszcze mniej istotne.
Jedną z największych zalet jest dobór aktorów. Nie chcę skłamać, ale nie przypominam sobie marudzenia na ich temat. No chyba że tyczyły się one takich bzdur, jak zbyt krótki nos Usoppa lub inne, nieznaczne zmiany w scenariuszu czy biegu wydarzeń. Zaczynając od fabuły, widać że twórcy serialu znają pierwowzór. Nie raz zaskoczyli mnie i innych widzów wyborem elementów, które pojawiły się znacznie później i dopasowali je bardzo organicznie do początkowych wydarzeń. Gdyby to była prosta opowieść jak DBZ, czy Demon Slayer, to nie byłoby to problemem. To jest OP, tytuł kilkunastokrotnie przebijający w/w tytuły w kwestii złożoności fabuły i lore. Jeśli chodzi o bohaterów, każdy z nich co najmniej dobrze pasuje do swojego pierwowzoru. Niektórzy mieli wątpliwości w kilku pojedynczych przypadkach, ale te zostały rozwiane w trakcie seansu.
Gdy wczoraj dostałem fotkę z castingiem od mojego kumpla Karola, odrazu zareagowałem w pozytywny sposób. Ci aktorzy nawet nie potrzebują specjalnej charakteryzacji. Wystarczy kupić odzież do cosplayu na AliExpress i troszeczkę popracować przy fryzurze lub make-upie i gotowe. Nie chcę oceniać ich po jednej fotce, ale jeżeli scenarzyści i reżyserzy wykonają swoją robotę równie dobrze, co w 1 sezonie, to ja już w tym momencie widzę ich w mojej wyobraźni. Zwłaszcza Mr 3 wygląda idealnie. Twarz, emocje, mimika... Mam dokładnie te same odczucia, co przy ogłoszeniu aktora głównego bohatera - lepiej się chyba nie dało wybrać!
Podobno za parę dni mają udostępnić kolejne materiały promocyjne z aktorami. Osobiście czekam na Crocodile'a, Choppera i Robin. Byłoby fajnie, gdyby do roli tego pierwszego wzięli aktora z nieco większym dorobkiem. Jeśli chodzi o moje oczekiwania względem drugiego sezonu, najprawdopodobniej drugi sezon skończy się na końcu sagi Arabasty. To będzie duże wyzwanie i będą musieli wyciąć mnóstwo materiału z mangi, ale nie jest to niemożliwe. Niemniej tutaj mogą się pojawić pierwsze sensowne powody do narzekania. Czuję jednak, że nie będzie miało to dużego znaczenia.
