Asia has been watching Netflix or HBO more since we moved in with my girlfriend. She must have watched 4 or 5 already. Some fragments I watch with her when I sit in the big room and practice, I hear with one ear when I write some texts or do various things on the computer. I join her when I come home from work and I need several dozen minutes for a "reset", sometimes we watch together until dinner before I put on something for myself. Today I will write about one of these series, it is a Mexican production. The title didn't catch my attention - Netflix recommended it to us for several weeks, and I was looking for something else. The series is not impressive, especially season 3 (admittedly I did not watch it thoroughly, but from what I noticed + my partner explained to me, it looks like the series has become very long), but I can easily count it among the better productions Netflix. At least the 1st and 2nd season. Not in the first league, but it deserved a good place in the second league. Before I go to the rest of the text, it will not be a review, but only a casual recommendation. I've seen too few episodes to write an honest review.
The start is very good, both strong, dynamic and intriguing. The title character died as a result of a broken line during water sports. Typical fun for young people - a little alcohol, staying by the water, they wanted to play. Unfortunately, there was a tragedy, Sarah fell and died. Or maybe it was all planned and someone wanted to frame someone or hide something ...? She was the fiancée of a Mexican whose father is filthy rich. The guy owns a casino, a brothel, he's very influential and hard to question, he's too powerful. Thanks to his abilities, he saved his sons from the accusations and led to the condemnation of their innocent friend to prison - Sarah's brother. At first he suggested that he would help him, he assured him that it would all turn out fine (and at worst, he would get the least penalty), but these were lies to hide the forks he had pushed him onto. After he left 18 years later, he wants to find out who killed Sarah. Soon after, his house was shot at ...
Due to the fact that I have not seen the entire series from A to Z, I cannot judge the characters or the script. I saw most of the 1st season and judging the series through its prism (using the girl's opinion), I find that it is not bad - at least up to a point. The characters behave in a coherent way, they do not talk nonsense, as is the case in many mass-produced series by Netflix (I mean that some dialogues and some threads can be thrown out and the series will lose little from it, and in my opinion it will even gain in value) . They are diverse, presenting the matter and threads about it from different perspectives, adding from each other elements that give us a full view of the main problem. Although from a certain point we have reasonable suspicions as to who could have done it and why, the series keeps us in suspense for a long time. Coming back to the characters, these are not original creations, if you have seen a few productions of this type, nothing will surprise you. The heroes are quite clichéd - although they have their nuances that positively distinguish them from the heroes of the average representatives of this genre, there are not so many of them that I can assess this aspect as very good. However, I can say that it is a solid job and I had no major complaints against them during the 1st and 2nd season. The situation changes with 3, but this is the least I have seen so I abstain from my final grade. There are also good threads about homosexuals. Not only are the sex scenes between them ok (i.e. if you don't like them, they will disturb you, but are not forced, as in many Netflix series - e.g. "Welcome to Eden"), but they also have real problems - for example, one pair of men wants to have a child. I have no problems with such threads, and I am not disgusted by sex in this configuration, so perhaps your opinion will differ from mine. If this text is read by people who do not like gays, they will find something for themselves in the final season.
All in all, this is not a series that you must see, but if you have free time for 25 episodes, I can recommend you. Honestly, this is the best series for those Netflix productions that I didn't originally plan on watching. The photos are nice, you can look at the fauna and flora with pleasure, the plot and curiosity about the fate of the characters keep you in suspense, the action is quite pleasant. Good, solid job - 7/10.
Odkąd zamieszkaliśmy razem z moją dziewczyną, to Asia ogląda częściej seriale na Netflix lub HBO. Obejrzała już chyba 4 albo 5. Niektóre fragmenty oglądam wraz z nią, gdy siedzę w dużym pokoju i ćwiczę, słyszę jednym uchem, gdy piszę jakieś teksty lub robię różne rzeczy na komputerze. Dołączam do niej, gdy wracam z pracy i potrzebuję kilkudziesięciu minut na "reset", czasem razem oglądamy do kolacji, zanim włączę coś dla siebie. Dziś napiszę o jednym z tych seriali, jest to produkcja Meksykańska. Tytuł nie wzbudził mojego zainteresowania - Netflix polecał nam go przez kilka tygodni, a ja szukałem coś innego. Serial nie jest imponujący, zwłaszcza 3 sezon (co prawda nie oglądałem go dokładnie, ale z tego co zauważyłem + moja partnerka mi wyjaśniła, to wygląda na to, że serial stał się wybitnie przeciągany), ale bez problemu mogę go zaliczyć do tych lepszych produkcji Netflixa. Przynajmniej 1 i 2 sezon. Nie pierwszej ligi, ale na dobre miejsce w drugiej w pełni zasłużyło. Nim przejdę do reszty tekstu, nie będzie to recenzja, a jedynie luźna polecajka. Widziałem zbyt mało odcinków, by napisać uczciwą recenzję.
Początek jest bardzo dobry, zarówno mocny, dynamiczny, jak i intrygujący. Tytułowa bohaterka, zmarła w wyniku pękniętej linki podczas sportów wodnych. Typowa zabawa młodych ludzi - trochę alkoholu, pobyt nad wodą, chcieli się pobawić. Niestety, doszło do tragedii, Sara spadła i zmarła. A może to wszystko zostało zaplanowane i ktoś chciał kogoś wrobić albo coś ukryć...? Była to narzeczona Meksykanina, którego ojciec jest obrzydliwie bogaty. Facet posiada kasyno, burdel, jest bardzo wpływowy i trudno go kwestionować, jest zbyt potężny. Ten dzięki swoim możliwościom, uratował swoich synów od oskarżeń i doprowadził do skazania ich niewinnego przyjaciela do więzienia - brata Sary. Początkowo sugerował, że mu pomoże, zapewniał że wszystko dobrze się skończy (a w najgorszym razie, dostanie najmniejszy wymiar kary), ale to były kłamstwa, które miały ukryć widły, na które go wepchnął. Gdy wyszedł po 18 latach, chce się dowiedzieć, kto zabił Sarę. Niedługo po tym, jego dom został ostrzelany...
Z racji, że nie widziałem całego serialu od A do Z, to nie mogę ocenić bohaterów ani scenariusza. Widziałem większość 1 sezonu i oceniając serial przez jego pryzmat (posiłkując się przy tym opinią dziewczyny), to stwierdzam że jest nieźle - przynajmniej do pewnego momentu. Postacie zachowują się w spójny sposób, nie gadają głupot, jak to bywa w wielu masowo produkowanych serialach przez Netflixa (mam na myśli to, że część dialogów i niektóre wątki można wyrzucić i serial niewiele na tym straci, a wg mnie wręcz zyska na wartości). Są różnorodne, przedstawiają sprawę i wątki jej dotyczące z różnych perspektyw, dodając od siebie elementy, dzięki którym mamy pełny pogląd na główny problem. Mimo, że od pewnego momentu mamy uzasadnione podejrzenia, kto to mógł zrobić i dlaczego, to serial przez długi czas trzyma nas w niepewności. Wracając do postaci, nie są to oryginalne kreacje, jeżeli widzieliście kilka produkcji tego typu, to raczej nic Was nie zaskoczy. Bohaterowie są dość kliszowi - co prawda mają swoje niuanse, które pozytywnie ich wyróżniają na tle bohaterów z przeciętnych przedstawicieli tego gatunku, ale nie jest ich na tyle dużo, bym mógł ocenić ten aspekt na bardzo dobry. Mogę natomiast powiedzieć, że to solidna robota i nie miałem wobec nich większych zarzutów podczas 1 i 2 sezonu. Sytuacja zmienia się w przypadku 3, ale ten widziałem najmniej, więc powstrzymuję się od finałowej oceny. Są też dobre wątki dotyczące homoseksualistów. Nie tylko sceny seksu między nimi są ok (tzn. jeżeli ich nie lubicie, to będą Wam przeszkadzać, ale nie są wciskane na siłę, tak jak w wielu serialach Netflixa - np. "Welcome to Eden"), ale i mają realne problemy - np. jedna para mężczyzn chce mieć dziecko. Nie mam problemów z takimi wątkami, nie obrzydza mnie również seks w tej konfiguracji, więc być może Wasza opinia będzie się różnić od mojej. Jeżeli ten tekst czytają ludzie, którzy nie lubią gejów, to znajdą coś dla siebie w finałowym sezonie.
Reasumując, nie jest to serial, który musicie zobaczyć, ale jeżeli macie wolny czas na 25 odcinków, to mogę Wam polecić. Szczerze mówiąc, to jest to najlepszy serial, jeśli chodzi o te produkcje Netflixa, których pierwotnie nie planowałem obejrzeć. Zdjęcia są ładne, można z przyjemnością popatrzeć na faunę i florę, fabuła i ciekawość o losy postaci trzymają w napięciu, akcja jest całkiem przyjemna. Dobra, solidna robota - 7/10.
