It also happens when I'm trying to grasp the size of the Canis Maioris star in relation to Earth, the amount of work that has been put into the music video "Beast Within", or the complexity of the world we live in. On the surface, all this is simple, for some it may even be obvious, but when we start to think about the details, we will begin to delve into the mutual relations between all beings, the influence of the spiritual sphere (and things that we still cannot fully explain - e.g. the soul) on reality, the cause-and-effect cycle, the mechanisms that control our way of thinking, the events that affect them, in general, the whole brothel that should have collapsed, if it were not so flawlessly and harmoniously thought out, the questions multiply. Isaac Newton's quote, "What we know is a drop, what we don't know is the ocean" fits perfectly here. Referring to my earlier pseudo-philosophical thoughts - a woman already in the moment of being a child, and even during her stay in the mother's womb, has predetermined genes for her future child. I have intentionally not watched or read ANY interpretation, review of "Dark", so as not to be influenced by anything. This analysis is completely authorial, I only drew from my life experiences, things that I had heard about or somewhere else, and interaction with my friends of varying degrees of knowledge (conversations, being together, performing various tasks, helping them, arguing, in the case of some women, or friends - more intimate experiences, very honest conversations). Hence, some conclusions may be nonsense, but some may be helpful to someone, especially young people, who can rethink their behavior.
[Science and technology]
I will start my interpretation by discussing the technical and scientific aspects. By such I mean everything related to physics, theoretical physics, chemistry, time travel. I have never concealed that I was an idiot when it comes to these teachings or theories, so I waited for some of my buddies, friends etc. he will finally see "Dark", and I will be able to ask him a few questions about what is true in this series, what might be true (theoretically it is feasible, but due to various constraints, i.e. too little energy that we are able to generate , lack of financial resources, insufficiently developed science, technology, we are not able to check it in the form of an experiment), and which is definitely false. Of course, I didn't ask about everything as it would take too long, and I don't want to abuse Karol's kindness. Due to my ignorance and ignorance, I will only say what I understand and am able to convey. Generally, "Dark" is not a total fantasy and an invention of writers like "Back to the Future" or "Lucy" in terms of how much we use our brains. They took a physics textbook, chose cool-sounding slogans, from which it was possible to create an interesting story with an attractive featuer of time travel for the viewer, read a little about them and glued them together. It can be said that in the above-mentioned aspects, the creators of "Dark" chose some wise slogans, but did not understand them or made simplifications on purpose. But that's just normal for time travel stories. Similar simplifications are used in most movies and historical series - a movie is not a story and has its own rules. If a series, or especially a film, were to scrupulously reflect historical facts and realities, then something boring or invisible, or relatively unattractive for the average viewer, would result. Those educated have more interesting things to do than watch movies and series and are not the target group - because you can't make money on them. The product is to appeal to a mass audience, not a small group. Does the list of mistakes made in "Dark" contain multiple entries? Hard to say. I asked Karol about it (who is practically interested in physics, technical things, much less chemistry), it seems to me that it is not that bad - there were a few moments that made him embarrassed, but I have known him long enough to more than once I have seen him complain more about something. Aside from 2-3 things that I didn't understand, and I don't want to copy-paste our conversations on Messanger, he criticized time travel in the first place. However, this is in some ways explainable - every time travel movie makes a lot of mistakes.
If anyone is interested in my opinion on the possibilities of such unnatural things as time travel, the gate to other dimensions / worlds that exist on Earth ... I think it is possible, but I do not know any reasonable arguments, let alone about the evidence, so no topic. However, I believe that such a thing can exist. Many things were inconceivable or unthinkable for many people before some discoveries. I know, such transitions and phenomena that contradict the known physics are completely different topics, but who knows what is hidden in the oceans? Who knows if some new quantum physics will not appear that will change our perception of reality? Our knowledge of the universe is small, and the more we discover, the more we realize that we know nothing. Even though we previously thought we knew enough.
[Theory of conspiracy]
As for the subject of conspiracy theories, etc., that the creators of the series are talking about ... Since watching season 2 (which took place six months or a year before the premiere of 3, I do not remember exactly) I am thinking about one of the theories presented by the writers. It seems to me that it is possible that the Rothschilds and other wealthy and influential families have discovered and checked some useful facts that make their lives easier. Of course, I'm not talking about things like time travel, contact with aliens, some places-teleports that work like those from "Doom" or "Quake" (yes, there are such conspiracy theories), because that's 99% of fairy tales on the "Dragon Ball" level. I mean more mundane issues - how to earn money quickly and effectively, how to invest it, how to predict certain events or trends with greater accuracy, how to influence other people, how to control masses of people, how real maps look, have access to full knowledge (because some of the knowledge is hidden from us, even theoretically true maps are partially falsified and no, in both cases I do not mean deliberate simplification) etc. Many people believe that these are difficult things that cannot be realized so easily. This is partly a nonsense, but partly doubting it is justified. It is not always and not possible to achieve it everywhere, but if we have the know-how, sufficient resources (people, money, freedom of action, time and other things), we act according to the plan and instructions, we will not get carried away (because people often sabotage themselves our actions - for example, how many people were unable to keep quiet, they just had to talk and the whole intricate plan fell apart?), we can adapt to changing conditions (because we cannot predict many things, even if we prepare ourselves very well) and we won't make too big mistakes, it is possible. When I saw the organization "Sic mundus creatus est" and got to know Adam better, I involuntarily associated them with "similar" organizations from our reality.
I believe so for several reasons. First of all, Adam observes reality coolly, adjusting to it, making corrections when he has to, without forgetting to achieve his goal. He doesn't care about losses, both those he has to suffer himself, and especially people outside his circle. At the beginning of his journey, he was guided by emotions and desires, but at some point he gave up on them. Or rather, he suppressed it almost to zero. I suspect this happened after the rape attempt when he realized how easily his plan could be ruined by his own desires and needs. I don't want to sound like a purist because I would be a giant hypocrite at this point, but in today's world we have too many things that distract us from important things, sometimes drastically aggravate our flaws and poison the mind. Therefore, a certain group of people deliberately deprive their children of the achievements of today's technology so that their brains develop properly, and personalities are not overly spoiled (to be precise - I mean the reward system and excess dopamine) and prone to triggers. I don't know how much truth and how many lies there are, but to some extent it is true. You can say all kinds of things about Catholics and their religion and education, but they're fucking good at the latter. Thanks to discipline, access to knowledge, discipline, well-educated staff and discipline again. Fanatical leftists or Muslims who are difficult to accuse of love for the Catholic faith are also aware of this. Also about a decade ago, I heard for the first time about emerging schools where mobile phones, wi-fi, tablets etc. are strictly forbidden. When it comes to people from elite families, well .. I have no knowledge, but as I wrote in the text about Paul von Oberstein from LoTGH - this is probably how the English elites were trained. Again, you can say different things about the English or the Americans, but the fact is that they can find themselves in different situations and solve their problems faster and more efficiently than Poles. And even if they do not succeed, they have appropriate specialists who will quickly or very quickly develop a solution or other methods of operation. Just like Adam, who surrounded himself with the elite of scientists or at least gained some knowledge from them, which can be deduced from archival photos or some of his statements.
Besides, there are two sayings that fit this situation - "money likes silence" and "What the eyes cannot see, the heart does not regret." Adam's organization is known only to a few, there is practically no evidence of its existence, and if someone becomes dangerous to it or learns something he shouldn't, it is eliminated. Is it really so ... I don't know and I prefer not to comment on it. I do not know how to make such accusations, and I do not like to look like a fool who talks nonsense. Nevertheless, more educated people than me, who are skeptical about conspiracies (and at the same time do not deny their existence, but are also not enthusiastic about them), said that this happens. I also know from lectures (with Dr. Zbigniew Emperor, a great expert on International Relations) and other sources, what rich and influential families or other people did to achieve great benefits. Here are some examples. Virtually in every religion there were or are priests who use the ignorance of their subordinates to manipulate them for various purposes. The Rothschilds, in turn, financed or financed many conflicts (giving money to both sides to make the fighting last as long as possible), many parties or political parties, themselves capitalizing huge capital on rebuilding countries or social conflict. Because very good money is earned by destroying and rebuilding the country and arguing people. Some wealthy people or corporations are able to influence the governments of many countries. For example, Disney or DC buy up senatorial counterparts to correct the patent law, otherwise they would lose the copyrights to some of their characters long ago. Or various financial scams, such as Amber Gold when it comes to Poland or the Charles Ponzi Pyramid when it comes to foreign countries. It is enough to have knowledge, time, appropriate experience and financial resources.
Before I go to the last segment, I will finish the story I started a little earlier. I mean knowledge, time and experience, ie the "things" necessary to succeed. Thanks to the knowledge we know what to do and how to do it, we can perform various activities of varying scope or intensity, etc. depending on our needs. Time, because we will not always succeed in everything, and we cannot check all scenarios in practice. We also do not have an accelerator, as in some "Tropico" simulator, which will make us move faster to the point where our task is already completed. Moreover, as I said, you have to be able to adapt to the current conditions. Contrary to what many supporters of conspiracy theories (including me a few years ago, Mea Culpa), even the richest and most influential people cannot do the impossible. In order to control all people on Earth or to effectively force your ideology, you need gigantic resources and opportunities that no one in the world has (at least for now). You can only sometimes try to influence certain events, part of the population, or speed up or slow down certain processes. You also need to have at least the tacit consent of other strong players or a huge advantage over them. Experience, because returning to game analogies, the world is not as simple as in a computer game. It is full of nuances, small variables that can affect the overall picture. You need to gain skill and experience to be able to skillfully navigate in it and to distinguish between essential and irrelevant things. In addition, it includes experience makes us better control our emotions and we are not their hostages, e.g. when we experience a stressful situation, which is often enough to wait, if only to look at the matter with a sober look and not act in a reactionary manner. You also have to read emotions correctly, sometimes trying to more or less bend reality or people to our expectations. Financial resources, in turn, will allow us to finance the entire plan, bribe the right people, hire specialists with unique abilities for various tasks. While almost all conspiracy theories can be complete lame (I am writing this because, for example, MK Ultra from "Stranger Things" is true), operating from hiding, controlling some of the most important points and using people on a large scale are facts.
To have time, resources, experience and knowledge, all these are personified by Adam. The words of Dr. Robert Gwiazdowski reflect well the justification for his actions, I wrote this on purpose, because if he would implement his plan, the consequences could be deplorable for all mankind. "People only act reasonably when other options fail." Adam did everything to realize his perfect script. All his ideas failed, and his actions only caused him suffering - both physically in the form of scars and psychically in the form of wounds on the soul. He became cold, devoid of emotions that we would associate with the positive ones. It treats people objectively, controls their actions and influences emotions. First, he skillfully subordinates people, and then confuses them in their heads, cynically using his knowledge. When his people start to suspect something, he skillfully deludes them, using various patterns of manipulation - playing on their emotions, using a system of punishments and rewards, knowledge about people and their secrets against them. Something like some seducers using the naivety of girls (and vice versa - ladies also take advantage of men's weaknesses in some areas - e.g. guys are less prone to using cute animals or helping poor children, but show us a nice ass, nice breasts, offer sex drinking vodka or drugs and we lose our minds, which the Russians have mastered to a master level) and their slightly greater susceptibility to some manipulation techniques or sects, or kidnappers of girls to foreign brothels. In one of the programs, Rafał Ziemkiewicz mentioned a scheme of action, which (properly applied - i.e. well-made, on the appropriate type of personality) will allow us to manipulate a person and make him addicted to us and will do what we want. In this case, awakening the intense feeling that every human being wants and trusting the kidnapper.
[Psychology and interpersonal relations]
Dark is about many things, the main human egoism (stupidity, shortsightedness, and other traits) and how our emotions and desires influence our decisions. The authors also show that, contrary to what some declare, each of us tries to get as much as possible for ourselves - whether it's the things we consider to be good, the attention of another person or at least our own (according to the principle "now I fucking decide!" ). It also perfectly shows that not always what we want is good for us. In other words - people mistakenly equate "happiness" and the realization of their desires, which is influenced by habits, emotions, hormones, something that we lacked in childhood or had an excess of it. For example, this deaf girl and her parents, who practically do not talk to each other, and when they do, often lie, avoid eye contact or communicate with information-slogans. This is most evident at the beginning of episode 4, where they share information like robots, without touching on other topics. When this girl grew up, she also communicated in a similar way and demanded more from herself and demanded the same from others (although this is due to the fact that she was born as a disabled premature baby - such people or children growing up in broken families often suffer from similar problem). The series also shows that although people are independent, usually selfish individuals (which does not mean that we cannot also have a tendency to help - after all, hardly anyone is 100% bad or good), each of us is a fraction of the whole and we complement each other, something like a woman and a man in a relationship, but on a much smaller scale.
We will do something for someone, someone something for us, together we will help someone else or a group of people will help someone from our family. We also learn from our friends, random people etc. what to do or not to do. Relating to the old days - thanks to those people who ate bad mushrooms, we know what not to eat. Thanks to less intelligent people from the Internet, we know what stupid ideas it is definitely not profitable to implement, even though we would like to check them.
There is no future without the past - some of our actions can turn into a habit, and if we do nothing about it, they can grow into our personality like ivy clutching a tree. Probably there are no such people in the world who suffered harm in their childhood and it did not affect their further life or left various wounds on their souls. The fact is, however, that our upbringing and the environment we grew up in affect us, sometimes in ways that we would not expect. A good example of this is Ulrich Nielsen (the one from the 1st and 2nd season, because the one from the 3rd season is a whore and absolutely nothing explains it), who slightly indifferent to others due to the loss of his brother. I do not defend him for cheating on his wife, but he did not do it in such a perfidious way as his counterpart from the other world + I will add as a partial justification that his wife neglected him a little for the sake of the children, which I will develop in a moment. He was struck down by the loss of his son, which made him completely ignore his wife and limited himself to contacts with children, resting in bed with his mistress. The loss of his brother motivated him to become a good policeman who cares about his health, but as a result he gradually became indifferent to his surroundings, his wife, and then his mistress, which contributed to his loneliness. By the way, this thread is a great lesson for all guys - a woman can forgive a lot of things, but if you give her real, severe pain, it will turn your life into hell. Every time I watched this scene on "Dark", at least 4 times, I would say out loud to myself, "Oh my fucking God, she's a bitch!". I mentioned Katharina Nielsen - she also had a hard time. Her mother drank, treated her like shit (beat her, mentally abused her) to the point where Katharina wanted to run away from the house. For this reason, the young blonde decided to treat her children differently. And so it happened - Ulrich joined the group of men who do not get sex and too much tenderness after giving birth, and their women are always tired and focus only on children. However, she, unlike her husband, did not forget about her love and tried to save him, even though he had become a grandfather. By the way, lover aka. Hannah Kahnwald is not polite either. After she gets scared by the possibility of getting in the face (P1E9), she blames it on young Regina. In her later life, you can also see that her jealousy and cowardice have not left her - as a 49-year-old MILF, she whitened her betrayal, blaming all the blame on Ulrich, lying to his wife that he no longer loves her, etc. There are even more examples, but unfortunately I don't have time to cover the rest.
It is also not that we are immune to the influence of external factors. If someone says that, he is just a liar - a separate question is whether he does it consciously or unconsciously. I will refer again to Rafał Ziemkiewicz, who in one radio broadcast said that even if we throw the TV and radio into the trash, and on the Internet we only stay on entertainment sites, we will still be somehow distorted. If only because it is difficult to eradicate knowledge that has already entered our brain or not to contact other people. Even if we don't talk to them about politics, social issues, etc. nature does not like a vacuum and it will somehow affect us. Even with involuntary, independent actions, or we ourselves will duplicate their behavior and views, if we consider them to be right.
I like that "Dark" has an objective approach to reality and shows off the bad (and less often - positive) qualities of both men. as well as women. Overall, this series is a unique human vivisection, much better than what we could see in, for example, the anime "Beastars", also available on Netflix. It also clearly shows that there are no innocent people in this world and that everyone has a bit of evil in them. There are few people who are 100% bad or good, and the stronger (or influential) we are, the easier it is: a) to justify and implement our actions, good or bad b) it is easier to escape from responsibility for violating someone else's freedom or making someone else harm. Strength may come from position, money, physical or mental advantage, connections, etc. A single "mastery" in a given field will not always make us successful, but if we have, for example, a lot of money, knowledge, strength, strong personality or colleagues who have the opportunity to help us, the chance for it grows drastically.
I would also add that, contrary to popular opinion, people with a victim mentality are not always innocent, they often harm others when they can (or improve their condition at the expense of others - consciously or unconsciously). The reasons are different - as I said, some people want to feel better, sometimes such people do not know other behaviors and it seems natural to them. All 3 seasons also show that EVERYONE is lying. The scale and frequency are different, some are innocent, not harmful, but still not true. As long as it only affects ourselves, and it doesn't affect people in any way, it's a small problem. However, this is rarely the case, because the lie grows and infects the rest of the body like a virus, which will somehow affect others. Many people also have a boring (or a bad) life and like to improve their ego. You can do it softly by watching pathology on YouTube or TV series like "Married with Children" or hardcover - stealing something that does not belong to us, dividing people into better and worse groups. Add to this the fact that sometimes our lies come to light and ... something has to be done to twist the head of the case. For example, by killing the witness or continuing to lie, like Adam who tried to rape the girl. But what, he won't say that he has a face like a burnt KFC chicken, because a girl with a filigree body structure massacred his face with a fire extinguisher. Because all people (excluding those who really have no conscience or are ordinary sociopaths) are either afraid of the consequences or of admitting to themselves that they've broken something. At the end of this paragraph, I will refer to the thread from the previous paragraph. Egon Tiedemann had a lot of information on the table, it would have been enough for someone to throw him some tips and he would be the best informed man besides Adam, Eve and their most important associates. He is a man with many flaws, but he is deeply good nevertheless at heart, and most of his bad behavior is due to a misconception. One of its drawbacks is its inability to get to a certain level of abstraction, which some might call stupidity. It is hard to blame him, he is a simple peasant, in addition not very bright, which was evident from the situation when his daughter visited him in the form of an elderly grandmother, and then as a grandfather, he could not add 1 + 1 that his daughter told him the same twice ( S2E3). Perhaps he has experienced childhood problems as well, because he is terribly withdrawn and has certain behaviors firmly imprinted in his memory. As with Ulrich, I would say he is driven by greed (or, in Hanna's case, by jealousy), Egon's sin is ignorance. And bad luck, because he often hit the wrong place at the wrong time.
[Destiny]
In the form of an ending, they will write about destiny. Whether it exists or not can be debated, there are reasons for both yes and no. In my opinion, yes, although not necessarily in this version, as presented by the Catholic Church or, for example, by Sapkowski in "The Witcher. You can also say that destiny is a cause-and-effect sequence, which in my opinion is a reasonable explanation, if you completely reject the existence of God. and the existence of the soul as an anomaly or a cluster of many cases that resulted in the development of the brain. In my opinion, both are complementary, as well as (at least partially, because my knowledge in this area is too weak) Apologetics and science. I believe that certain events must happen to us anyway and they are planned in advance (which is perfectly explained by the series), but we can have an impact on the way to these ... Hmmm, life checkpoints, using a dictionary of computer games. We also have a choice, not always fair, but sometimes we have a choice between good and bad, or a big bad and less bad. We often forget that past events can have a big impact on our character or habits that we are unaware of, and create toxic character traits or bad habits in us. A short-sighted perspective resulting, among others, from from the short time of our life, it does not help greatly to see the consequences of its actions. Due to the fact that we keep moving forward, looking at the past at random, sometimes (and some of us do it more often than sometimes, like me) we do not notice that we are repeating previous mistakes. In some cases, this leads to the fact that we return to a known situation, from which we wanted to escape, and then we involuntarily strive for it - because we already know it, we know the potential threats, etc. I will refer again to Hannah Kahnwal, whose husband hanged himself. As a child, she was jealous of Ulrich, as evidenced by the fact that she lied about the rape of his then-girlfriend. As an adult, she took revenge on him in an extremely brutal way. She might have saved him from a trap he had fallen into, but she had kicked him even deeper. On the other hand, it doesn't really matter, because Ulrich was destined to get stuck in a different timeline.
I know that I have kept some issues to a minimum, while others I have touched on in a shallow way, but if I were to write about everything, this text would be twice as long.
