My Review

I went into Red Sparrow with low expectations. For various reasons I didn't make it when it first came out so I saw a number of the reviews. Despite what the reviews said I liked this movie.

Jennifer Lawrence kills it in this movie. Red Sparrow was RAW with a capital R. Jennifer Lawrence is starts off as a beautiful ballerina and ends up as a cold, calculating, powerful woman.

Don't expect to see a Black Widow, type action adventure. Red Sparrow has the twists and turns of a spy thriller, mixed in with a terrifying psychological drama.

Joel Edgerton turns in a good performance, showing compassion in an uncompassionate profession.

Matthias Schoenaerts kills it as Dominika's uncle.

I don't want to spoil anything so I will leave it with the word RAW.

Rating - B (Worth the price of the ticket and a popcorn)
