Fall 2: Deadpoint: Review

Review by @ikigaidesign 🏆#67 🔥1 🎵409 🎬98 📺106 · 9h · of Fall 2: Deadpoint · 3 views

Hello, my fellow cinephiles! As we start the week, I’m sharing a new review. It’s a somewhat formulaic film—blending suspense and a touch of drama—that’s entertaining enough to pass the time. It’s a tense, desperate hour that, as it unfolds, leads to some unexpected conclusions.

🎥 Fall 2: Deadpoint🎥

Are you down?

Synopsis:

After losing her sister Shiloh, Jax embarks on a perilous climb with Luce—apparently an old friend of Shiloh’s—to honor her memory. As they navigate the treacherous, narrow ledges of Mount Kwan, a terrifying rockfall leaves them stranded 1,500 meters above the ground. Amidst dizzying heights, dark truths, and cruel twists, Jax must confront her deepest fears to fight for survival and reach the end of this high-stakes journey.

Let’s recall that Fall 2: Deadpoint revisits the premise of the first film, but takes it even further. Once again, it centers on two young women—this time on an impossibly challenging mountain—facing a series of situations where a single mistake could lead to a free fall. That said, the scenario strikes me as somewhat illogical; after all, who in their right mind would venture into such a remote location with only one guide—especially when everyone warned them it was a bad idea and unsafe? But I suppose that’s the whole point: taking that kind of risk.

I remember seeing the first part of this story—it was, without a doubt, a harrowing situation. Being up there all alone, at such a dizzying height—the fear, the anguish, not knowing how to get down—all of it triggers intense nerves and anxiety. Watching this second installment means reliving those moments through the eyes of these young women: one who initially dismissed the situation, failing to grasp the consequences or the danger, and the other, gripped by fear and insecurity, struggling to even breathe as she fights against it all just to survive.

Stories like this make you reflect on how cowardly or brave we are—or can become. The simple act of daring to step out of your comfort zone is, in itself, an act of bravery. This young woman, guided by someone who was supposedly a friend of her sister, took that risk—climbing this mountain—with the goal not only of honoring her mother, but also of overcoming her own fears.

As for the film, it’s certainly watchable at home, but I wouldn’t pay to see it in a theater—hahaha! If you’ve already seen it, share your thoughts!
