¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo otro post para continuar mi progreso en esta primera parte del reto de la comunidad Blogging Challenge; cada día se pone más interesante y hoy por fin me toca hablar sobre una de las mejores películas que he visto en mi vida, de hecho, me impactó tanto que la considero mi película favorita en la historia, es decir, es mi top 1 sin duda alguna.
Hoy les voy a hablar sobre El Ilusionista de Neil Burger.
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you another post to continue my progress in this first part of the community challenge Blogging Challenge; every day it gets more interesting and today it's finally my turn to talk about one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life, in fact, it impacted me so much that I consider it my favorite movie in history, that is, it's my top 1 without a doubt.
Today I'm going to talk about The Illusionist by Neil Burger.
Una obra maestra de principio a fin | A masterpiece from beginning to end
Hablar del Ilusionista de Neil Burger es casi para mí el hablar sin detenerme durante muchas horas porque me trae una cantidad increíbles de recuerdos y sensaciones que no puedo expresar claramente con palabras; siento que la mística detrás de esta película te envuelve con una facilidad que sientes que verdaderamente entiendes la trama y terminas completamente confundido porque realmente nunca viste lo que sucedió a simple vista.
Es increíble cómo la película pasa de ser la historia frente al espectador a ser el verdadero as bajo la manga de la narrativa, con una forma increíblemente certera de hacerte saber este hecho para desencadenar un aplauso completamente sincero y una sonrisa al finalizar la misma.
La trama de la película ronda en Viena, Austria en el año 1889; estamos de cara a uno de los mayores ilusionistas que el mundo haya visto, conocido como Eisenheim, el cuál aprendió a amar este mundo a raíz de un encuentro fortuito con un mago viajero, este le revela varios secretos y lo lleva a transitar esta vida de la ilusión y el misterio.
Todo gira en torno a una relación sentimental que tiene nuestro protagonista con una chica de la realeza, típica relación cliché al estilo la Dama y el Vagabundo, con los problemas que dichas relaciones conllevan, sin embargo, a pesar de este conflicto recurrente, el argumento tiene unas vertientes magníficas que te mantienen impactado de principio a fin.
Talking about Neil Burger's The Illusionist is almost for me talking without stopping for many hours because it brings back an incredible amount of memories and sensations that I can't clearly put into words; I feel like the mystique behind this film envelops you with an ease that you feel like you truly understand the plot and end up completely confused because you never really saw what happened at first glance.
It's amazing how the film goes from being the story in front of the viewer to being the real ace up the narrative's sleeve, with an incredibly accurate way of letting you know this fact to trigger a completely heartfelt applause and a smile at the end of it.
The plot of the film takes place in Vienna, Austria in the year 1889; we are facing one of the greatest illusionists the world has ever seen, known as Eisenheim, who learned to love this world after a chance encounter with a traveling magician, who reveals several secrets and leads him to travel this life of illusion and mystery.
Everything revolves around a sentimental relationship that our protagonist has with a royal girl, a typical cliché relationship in the style of Lady and the Tramp, with the problems that such relationships entail, however, despite this recurring conflict, the plot has some magnificent aspects that keep you shocked from beginning to end.
Mi historia con la película | My story with the movie
Recuerdo que vi esta película en DVD porque la conseguí en una tienda a la que yo solía ir con mi papá y con mi hermano menor; dicha tienda era como mi Netflix de aquél entonces, porque yo podía ir y cambiar la película que me había llevado el día anterior para deleitarme tranquilamente desde la comodidad de mi casa, aunque habría amado demasiado el haber visto esta película en el cine, posiblemente aún no superaría el hype.
A raíz de ver esta película, me interesé demasiado por el mundo del ilusionismo; actualmente conozco algunas cosas sobre cartomagia y he practicado bastante al respecto, pero siento que el mejor tipo de magia es el que vemos en esta película que es la que se conoce como Prestodigitación o la capacidad de hacer aparecer o desaparecer cosas en momentos particulares con la ayuda de habilidad manual y muchas técnicas para engañar o distraer la mente.
I remember that I saw this movie on DVD because I got it in a store that I used to go to with my dad and my younger brother; this store was like my Netflix back then, because I could go and change the movie I had taken the day before to enjoy it quietly from the comfort of my home, although I would have loved to have seen this movie in the theater, possibly I still wouldn't get over the hype.
As a result of seeing this movie, I became very interested in the world of illusionism; I now know a few things about card magic and have practiced quite a bit of it, but I feel that the best type of magic is what we see in this movie which is known as Prestodigitation or the ability to make things appear or disappear at particular times with the help of manual skill and many techniques to trick or distract the mind.

No me extendí en este post sobre la película porque realmente si profundizaba íbamos a estar de cara a un montón de spoilers que en definitiva iban a arruinar la mística de la misma.
