¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo un post que quise hacer motivado a que hace un par de días fui al cine con mi Mo @ladyunicorn y volvimos a ver AVATAR de James Cameron en el cine; como puede que muchos no sepan, este relanzamiento se realiza por el hecho de que en Diciembre de este año se estrena la secuela de la misma, Avatar: El Camino del Agua y como el primer lanzamiento fue estrenado hace 13 años, querían refrescar la trama para los fanáticos.
Sin embargo, más allá de este hecho, hay algunas cosas que quiero relatarles en este post que servirán como una manera de convencerlos de que si ustedes son fanáticos de esta saga, vayan y vuelvan a vivir la experiencia de ver esta obra maestra en el cine, porque vale más la pena que antes.
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you a post that I wanted to do motivated by the fact that a couple of days ago I went to the movies with my Mo @ladyunicorn and we re-watched James Cameron's AVATAR in the cinema; as many may not know, this re-release is being done due to the fact that in December of this year the sequel to it, Avatar: The Way of Water will be released and since the first release was released 13 years ago, they wanted to refresh the plot for the fans.
However, beyond this fact, there are some things I want to tell you in this post that will serve as a way to convince you that if you are a fan of this saga, go and live again the experience of seeing this masterpiece in the cinema, because it is more worth it than before.
1.- El cambio en la calidad | Quality change
Este es el primer hecho que debo mencionar, literalmente mi Mo @ladyunicorn y yo FLIPAMOS al ver el cambio de calidad con respecto a la versión del año 2009, y tiene mucho sentido, porque hoy en día existen muchos software que pueden remasterizar los colores y motores gráficos mucho más potentes para los efectos especiales, no solo lo vemos en el mundo del cine, pues este año han habido un montón de remasterizaciones de vídeos musicales históricos como Candy Shop de 50 Cent o Baby de Justin Bieber, pero ese no es el tópico aquí.
Si quieren que les defina un poco a qué me refiero con el cambio de calidad, imagínense esto, en el año 2009, los colores de los lugares nos parecieron totalmente impresionantes, ¿cierto? Pero en esta versión, van a ver detalles que jamás pudieron haber visto en aquél entonces, van a entender el cómo se sincronizan mejor los colores con las sensaciones que quieren mostrar en la película, como los brillos ténues con colores particulares en cada vinculación de los Navi's con cualquier elemento de Pandora, el cambio de matices en la piel por heridas particulares y demás.
Van a notar incluso los detalles en las texturas de la piel, los ojos, en las escamas de todos los animales, hasta las texturas de las máquinas, de los hologramas, de todo, es simplemente como ver la película por primera vez, se siente totalmente diferente.
This is the first fact I must mention, literally my Mo @ladyunicorn and I FLIPPED when we saw the change in quality compared to the 2009 version, and it makes a lot of sense, because nowadays there are many software that can remaster colors and much more powerful graphic engines for special effects, not only we see it in the movie world, because this year there have been a lot of remasterings of historical music videos like Candy Shop by 50 Cent or Baby by Justin Bieber, but that's not the topic here.
If you want me to define a little bit what I mean by the change in quality, picture this, back in 2009, the colors of the locations looked totally awesome to us, right? But in this version, you will see details that you could never have seen back then, you will understand how the colors are better synchronized with the sensations that they want to show in the movie, like the faint glows with particular colors in each link of the Navi's with any element of Pandora, the change of shades in the skin by particular wounds and so on.
You will even notice the details in the textures of the skin, the eyes, the scales of all the animals, even the textures of the machines, the holograms, everything, it's just like watching the movie for the first time, it feels totally different.
2.- Cambio en el final | Change at the end
Esto nos atrapó con extrema locura a @ladyunicorn y a mí, porque hay solo un pequeño detalle diferente en el final de la película que difiere con la versión del año 2009 y que le da mucho sentido a la secuela, pero cuando la vimos en pantalla nos generó esa reacción de «hey, ¡esto no estaba en la versión original! ¿qué pasó aquí?» y nos hizo mirarnos a la cara con mucha duda y tensión por este cambio.
Esa parte me gustó muchísimo porque, además de todo, nunca había visto la versión subtitulada, así que, realmente al escuchar los diálogos originales, te das cuenta del verdadero mensaje y las verdaderas intenciones que te querían transmitir en la película, no digo que el doblaje haya estado mal, porque, de hecho, me parece uno de los mejores doblajes del mundo porque hasta escuchando la voz del Coronel en inglés me di cuenta de que buscaron una voz muy parecida en español, pero no es lo mismo.
Siempre he estado de acuerdo en que hay que ver las películas en su idioma original para poder obtener la información del mensaje que quieren transmitir de la manera más clara posible, por ejemplo, hay escenas donde en la versión con doblaje no entiendes muy bien lo que quieren hacer los Navi para contraatacar a los humanos que van a invadir Pandora, pero en esta versión subtitulada, hay momentos en los que vez las órdenes directas de acción que en el doblaje en español le dieron otro sentido, este y otros detalles así generaron muchos cambios interesantes.
This caught @ladyunicorn and me with extreme madness, because there is just a little different detail at the end of the movie that differs with the 2009 version and that gives a lot of sense to the sequel, but when we saw it on screen it generated that reaction of "hey, this wasn't in the original version! what happened here?" and made us look at each other's faces with a lot of doubt and tension because of this change.
I really liked that part because, besides everything, I had never seen the subtitled version, so, really listening to the original dialogues, you realize the real message and the true intentions they wanted to convey in the movie, I'm not saying that the dubbing was bad, because, in fact, it seems to me one of the best dubbing in the world because even listening to the Colonel's voice in English I realized that they looked for a very similar voice in Spanish, but it's not the same.
I have always agreed that you have to watch the movies in their original language to get the information of the message they want to convey as clearly as possible, for example, there are scenes where in the dubbed version you do not understand very well what the Navi want to do to counterattack the humans who are going to invade Pandora, but in this subtitled version, there are moments where you see the direct orders of action that in the Spanish dubbing gave another sense, this and other details like this generated many interesting changes.
3.- Escena Post-Créditos | Post-Credit Scene
Con este último detalle sí que James Cameron abusó en este reestreno, o sea, más allá de que nos volvieron a regalar una obra majestuosa, que ahora se ve muchísimo mejor y fue completamente espectacular la ida al cine a verla como lo fue en aquél entonces en el año 2009, nos dan un adelanto de lo que será la próxima película.
Pero no me malinterpreten, no es el tráiler de la película, es literalmente un salto temporal hacia el futuro luego de que se acaba la película, mi Mo @ladyunicorn y yo nos dimos cuenta de esta escena post-créditos porque nos quedamos hasta el final, porque queríamos ver los créditos y listo, quedarnos ahí sentados comentando un poco lo que fue la experiencia y de repente vimos un letrero que decía: «Un adelanto de lo que vendrá en el futuro» y nos quedamos paralizados.
La escena post-créditos es hermosa y está situada diréctamente en los hechos de la segunda película, no quiero entrar en muchos detalles porque no quiero hacer ningún tipo de spoiler para que vivan el hype como yo lo viví, pero sí les aseguro que conocerán lugares y personajes nuevos que van a amar apenas los vean y van a quedar con ganas de más, y lo mejor de todo, es que Avatar 2 solo está a 2 meses de ser estrenada, así que, ¡vayan a ver Avatar de nuevo al cine!
With this last detail James Cameron really abused in this re-release, that is, beyond the fact that they gave us again a majestic work, which now looks much better and it was completely spectacular to go to the cinema to see it as it was back then in 2009, they give us a preview of what will be the next film.
But don't get me wrong, it's not the trailer of the movie, it's literally a time jump to the future after the movie ends, my Mo @ladyunicorn and I noticed this post-credits scene because we stayed until the end, because we wanted to see the credits and that's it, just sit there commenting a little bit about the experience and suddenly we saw a sign that said: "A preview of what's coming in the future" and we were paralyzed.
The post-credits scene is beautiful and is set directly in the events of the second movie, I don't want to go into too many details because I don't want to make any spoilers for you to live the hype as I did, but I assure you that you will meet new places and characters that you will love as soon as you see them and you will be eager for more, and best of all, Avatar 2 is only 2 months away from being released, so, go see Avatar again at the cinema!
