Black Crab is a Swedish movie with a running time of 114 minutes (1 hour and 44 minutes), its genres are action, suspense and sci-fi. It is a 2022 release, directed and written by Adam Berg (director of Licence to Deliver '20, In '11 and carousel '09). The budget for this film is still unknown but it is listed as "low budget" so that should give you an idea.

La película comienza en un túnel donde nuestra protagonista, Edh se encuentra con su hija (única) en su carro y se escuchan disturbios los cuales alteran a toda la gente dentro, entre disparos y gritos, la hija de Edh busca desesperadamente salir del auto para huir pero su madre al ver a hombres fuertemente armados decide tranquilizarla bajo una manta dentro del carro, mientras se tratan de relajar ahí y esperar que los hombres armados se vayan sin verlas (lo cual es difícil ya que los vidrios no son polarizados), terminan rompiendo la ventana y raptando a su hija y no sabemos qué hicieron con Edh.
The film begins in a tunnel where our protagonist, Edh is with her daughter (only daughter) in her car and riots are heard which alter all the people inside, between gunshots and screams, Edh's daughter desperately seeks to get out of the car to flee but her mother seeing heavily armed men decides to calm her under a blanket inside the car, while they try to relax there and wait for the armed men to leave without seeing them (which is difficult since the windows are not tinted), they end up breaking the window and kidnapping her daughter and we don't know what they did with Edh.
Somos rápidamente trasladados con un corte de cámara hacia las vías de un tren en algún lugar de una ciudad apocalíptica y muy gelida. Aparentemente ha pasado un tiempo desde que los hechos anteriores ocurrieron, dentro del tren hacen bajar a Edh, totalmente cambiada, ella reprocha porque dice no ser su estación ya que ella se dirige hacia el sur (aparentemente es un lugar seguro de la guerra). Al bajar debe encontrarse con el teniente (al cual no conocemos su nombre) para encontrarse con Raad, el capitán del territorio donde se encuentra, al caminar un poco por la ciudad y tener casi un altercado porque la situación del lugar es totalmente precaria es encontrada por el teniente y trasladada a un lugar que desconocemos.
We are quickly transported with a camera cut to the tracks of a train somewhere in an apocalyptic and very gelid city. Apparently some time has passed since the previous events occurred, inside the train they make Edh get off, totally changed, she reproaches because she says it is not her station since she is heading south (apparently it is a safe place from the war). When she gets off she must meet the lieutenant (whose name we do not know) to meet Raad, the captain of the territory where she is, after walking a little through the city and having almost an altercation because the situation of the place is totally precarious, she is found by the lieutenant and transferred to a place we do not know.
Al bajarse del carro el teniente entra a un edificio cercano y Edh queda a afueras de este, cuando una mujer intenta pedirle comida para su bebe es emboscada por un hombre a sus espaldas para robarla, ella al entender la actitud de la mujer logra adelantarse y deshacerse disparando a todos los que venían a robarla (no eran pocos, al parecer era su modus operandi). Logra irse en el carro, aunque dejando al teniente a su suerte en ese lugar (aunque él no estaba exactamente con ella ahí cuando esto ocurría).
When a woman tries to ask for food for her baby, she is ambushed by a man behind her back to rob her, she understands the woman's attitude and manages to get ahead of him, shooting all those who came to rob her (there were not few, apparently it was his modus operandi). She manages to leave in the car, leaving the lieutenant to her fate in that place (although he was not exactly with her there when this happened).
Llega al punto de reunión que es la base superior, donde es recibida por varios militares, aunque ellos conocen quien es y por que esta ahi, se preguntan porque no esta con su escolta, les parece raro pero ella al mostrar una documentación de quien es ella, no importa y la dejan pasar al despacho de Raad, ahí conoce a Karimi, un militar un poco despistado que llegó en último al despacho, bastante preocupado al escuchar un rumor sobre un bombardeo en una base aliada ya que ahí se encontraba su novia; Granvik, aparenta ser un chico joven pero con mucha experiencia con rifles, muy sociable con buenos modales y de ultimo a Malik, un jovial hombre que aparentaba una edad más avanzada que los demás (aunque estaban en guerra, de seguro envejeció por las circunstancias y no por edad, pero… eso no es importante).
She arrives at the meeting point which is the upper base, where she is received by several military, although they know who she is and why she is there, they wonder why she is not with her escort, it seems strange to them but she shows a documentation of who she is, it does not matter and they let her go to Raad's office, there she meets Karimi, a military a little clueless who arrived at the office last, quite worried to hear a rumor about a bombing at an allied base because there was his girlfriend; Granvik, who appears to be a young guy but with a lot of experience with rifles, very sociable with good manners and lastly Malik, a jovial man who appeared to be older than the others (although they were at war, surely he aged because of the circumstances and not because of age, but... that's not important).
Raad al desocuparse los recibio no muy calidamente, siguen un orden militar bastante estricto, no hay gobierno, solo se rigen por cadenas de mando; Raad les explica que los bombardeos del enemigo y su presion militar en el territorio esta siendo tan fuerte que muy pronto solo caeran, la guerra estaba terminando, y ellos la estaban perdiendo, asi que optaron por la unica mision que podria dar resultados y ellos eran los indicados al ser los mejores que cumplian con un requisito indispensable para la mision y era, patinar sobre hielo. Ya que la mision consistia en transportar dos sobres negros que no se les revelaria que contenian adentro, pero era crucial para acabar la guerra. El problema al que se enfrentaban era que la formas más rápida de llegar al punto de entrega es cruzando el mar congelado y el hielo en zonas es muy delgado para ir en vehículo y en otras zonas muy grueso para ir en barco.
Raad, upon leaving, received them not very warmly, they follow a very strict military order, there is no government, they are only governed by chains of command; Raad explained to them that the enemy's bombings and their military pressure on the territory is being so strong that very soon they will only fall, the war was ending, and they were losing it, so they opted for the only mission that could give results and they were the ones indicated to be the best that fulfilled an indispensable requirement for the mission and that was, to skate on ice. Since the mission consisted of transporting two black envelopes that would not be revealed what they contained inside, but it was crucial to end the war. The problem they faced was that the fastest way to reach the delivery point was to cross the frozen sea and the ice in some areas is too thin to go by vehicle and in other areas too thick to go by boat.
Así que su misión era sencilla, transportar dos sobres hasta esa ciudad amiga, la condición de la misión es que solo podían desplazarse de noche ya que el enemigo tenía control sobre todo el mar, había que patinar 185 kilómetros hasta ese lugar, solo en la noche.
So their mission was simple, to transport two envelopes to that friendly city, the condition of the mission was that they could only move at night since the enemy had control over the entire sea, they had to skate 185 kilometers to that place, only at night.
Los demás aceptaron, No había de otra, pero Edh se opuso diciendo que era una misión suicida ya que desplazarse por territorio enemigo limitados era muy arriesgado, Raad solo despacho a todos los demás y la dejo a ella, para enseñarle una fotografía de su hija, que se encontraba en un refugio en aquella ciudad. Edh al ver la foto no pudo contener el dolor y la emoción. acepto sin que quepa alguna duda. Mucho más tarde en la barraca se preparan para dormir y alistan su equipo, mientras Karimi muestra su descontento ya que dentro de poco iba a casarse con su novia pero es tranquilizado por Malik el cual le dice que si lo invita llevará champagne que tiene guardada para cuando la guerra termine. Mientras dormían son bombardeados por el enemigo y son preparados rápidamente para iniciar la misión lo antes posible, son llevados al mar congelado para así, empezar la verdadera travesía.
The others accepted, there was no other way, but Edh objected saying that it was a suicide mission since moving through limited enemy territory was very risky, Raad only dispatched all the others and left her, to show her a photograph of her daughter, who was in a shelter in that city. Edh, seeing the picture, could not contain her pain and emotion. she accepted without any doubt. Much later in the barracks they prepare to sleep and get their equipment ready, while Karimi shows his discontent since he was about to marry his girlfriend but he is reassured by Malik who tells him that if he invites him he will take some champagne that he has saved for when the war is over. While they were sleeping they are bombed by the enemy and are quickly prepared to start the mission as soon as possible, they are taken to the frozen sea to begin the real journey.
En lo personal creo que es un película entretenida pero no cumple exactamente con lo que a mi me gusta, no la volvería a ver si me lo preguntan pero tampoco es una película mala, solo que al verla contemplas bastantes agujeros en la trama que justamente, eran los que yo esperaba. No creo ser exigente, solo ciertas cosas no me parecieron del todo.
Personally I think it's an entertaining movie but it doesn't fulfill exactly what I like, I wouldn't watch it again if you ask me but it's not a bad movie either, just that when you watch it you see a lot of holes in the plot that were exactly what I expected. I don't think I'm being picky, I just didn't like certain things.
