Hello everyone. If there is a series that truly resonates on an emotional level—leaving us to reflect on what we are actually doing with our own reality—it is undoubtedly Veneno. It is a show that not only made me rethink my own journey regarding my identity and the path I was taking, but also presented a raw look at how society reacts once we establish an image that cannot easily be undone. So, having recently revisited parts of it, I’d like to share my thoughts on this outstanding series.
Hola a todos , si hay una serie que transmite mucho en cuanto a emociones ya que nos logra dejar pensando sobre el que hacemos realmente con nuestra realidad es sin duda la serie de Veneno , es de las que a mí no solo me hizo replantear mis propios pasos en cuanto a mi identidad y lo que estaba haciendo con esto sino que es de esas vivencias que llegamos a ver en crudo como un posible reflejo de lo que hace la sociedad una vez que establecemos una imagen que no podemos rehacer fácilmente, asi que bueno aprovechando que pude ver de nuevo un poco de esta hoy les dare mi opinión acerca de esta gran serie.

Spanning eight episodes and based on the book by Valeria Vegas, the series chronicles the life of Cristina Ortiz—known as "La Veneno"—tracing her journey from childhood through self-discovery and fame, her return to a life she thought she had left behind, and ultimately, her death.
Creada por Javier Calvo y Javier Ambrosi , con género de Drama , y producción por parte de Astresmedia Studio Estrenada en Marzo del 2020 , teniendo tanta recepción y haciéndose llamativa que logro estar en plataformas como HBO , está es una serie española que retrata la vida de Cristina Ortiz quien fue conocida como La veneno , desde niño , su paso por su auto descubrimiento , la fama , el volver a formar parte de una vida que creía olvidada y finalmente su muerte a través de 8 episodios y con una referencia en el libro de Valeria Vegas.
From the very first episodes, it is made clear that this is not a fairy tale, but a story told to reveal how Cristina reached the point she did—tracing her journey from childhood and her early acts of rebellion to that critical moment of identity doubt, where denial acts as a veil we can choose to either lift or keep in place. Rather than focusing directly on her fame as an icon, the series takes us along a path of uncertainty—affecting not only the protagonist but also those around her—while simultaneously showing how Valeria, the book's author, came to terms with her own true self and navigated her own process of transition and transformation, all without losing sight of the person who gave her life such a vital push forward.
Desde los primeros capítulos nos deja bien en claro que no se trata de una serie de cuento de hadas sino de una historia contada para hacer entender como es que Cristina llegó a dónde estuvo , desde niño , sus primeras reveldias y como paso por ese punto de todo aquel que duda de su identidad donde la negación es una cortina que depende de nosotros quitar o dejar , no va directamente a lo que fue la fama de esta icónica persona sino que nos lleva en un camino de indecisión incluso no solo para la protagonista sino para el entorno que se muestra y a su vez mostrando lo que fue para Valeria la escritora del libro entender que tambien se tenía que afrontar quien era realmente y como esta avanza en su proceso de su transición y transformación sin dejar de lado a quien le dió ese importante empujón para su vida.
Although this series might be intense for certain age groups, it brilliantly captures the lived experiences and emotions involved when we feel that spark fading—as well as the choices we make while clinging to a thread of hope. It also highlights the importance of realizing that some people aren't the best company for us, and that they can cause us to lose everything we’ve worked so hard to achieve. Indeed, the series is rich in memories—even featuring original clips of La Veneno—and benefits from the participation of the real-life Paca la Piraña, whose presence adds an authentic touch and serves as a crucial anchor for the story unfolding on screen.
Está serie aunque podría llegar a ser fuerte par ciertas edades refleja muy bien lo que son las vivencias , las emociones cuando sentimos que vamos perdiendo esa chispa y ese recorrido de acciones que llegamos a tomar cuando nos aferramos a un hilo de esperanza así como la importancia de saber que a veces las personas no llegan a ser las mejores compañías para nosotros y que justamente por ellas podemos perder lo que tanto logramos , en efecto está llena de recuerdos y incluso en momentos de muestran clips originales de La veneno , además de contar con la participación de la real Paca la Piraña quien le da ese toque auténtico de que es un respaldo clave de lo que vamos viendo .
Time is a crucial factor in this narrative; it is striking to see how it shapes a person's mind, behavior, and actions—whether they are trying to hold onto a bygone era or attempting to stave off the feeling that their prime is slipping away. In Cristina’s case, we see how she clung to memories to cope with aging; yet, when she eventually re-emerged, that very attachment caused her to stumble. Like any human, she committed actions that forced her to confront reality as it truly is. On a personal level, her story reflects how we navigate life when we feel we simply do not fit in or cannot keep pace with life's changing stages.
Un factor importante en esta trama es el tiempo , ya que es un impacto fuerte ver como este influye en la mente comportamiento y acción de una persona cuando trata de retener una época o cuando trata de usarlo para no sentir que pierde su mejor momento , en el caso de Cristina se nos muestra como esta se mantuvo en sus recuerdos para sobrellevar la edad y como aunque resurgió esto justamente fue lo que la hizo tropezar y cometer como todo humano acciones que la hicieron entender la realidad como es y personalmente es un reflejo de como llegamos a vivir la vida cuando simplemente sentimos que no logramos encajar o seguir la marcha de esas etapas de la vida.
I enjoyed this series so much—especially its powerful message and the impact of certain scenes—that I watched it multiple times. While we have to keep in mind that the story is narrated by Cristina to Valeria for her book (meaning there are bound to be modifications and alterations), the core message remains clear: it is important to know ourselves and embrace who we truly are. You could say it represents the full circle of life’s ups and downs—something Cristina experienced firsthand—and the series' success reflects that. For me, it is a must-watch—something to view with an open mind, free of taboos—and it sparks meaningful conversations and learning, offering plenty of messages to understand, explore, and reflect upon. Está serie la llegue a disfrutar tanto por lo fuerte de su mensaje que la vi repetidas veces por lo impactante de algunas escenas y es que si bien hay que tener en en cuenta que al ser narraciones de Cristina que pasan a Valeria para su libro sabemos que existen sus modificaciones y alteraciones, igual la cosa es clara , "es importante conocernos y dar el paso a lo que somos " , podría decirse que es un círculo completo de lo bueno y malo de la vida y para Cristina fue un poco de todo y el éxito de esta serie refleja eso , para mí es de esas que si o si se tiene que ver sin tabúes una vez aunque sea y que incluso da para conversar a modo de aprendizaje ya que tiene muchos mensajes para entender , conocer y reflejar , por lo que bueno en si es una de mis favoritas así que sin más que decir y esperando sea de su agrado muchas gracias por leer.
