Greetings, this time I want to share with you my thoughts about the movie Stand By Me, this is a 1985 classic, directed by Rob Reiner, who adapted the novel written by Stephen King, I am a lover of classic movies and this is a of them, however I know that there are people who have not seen it yet and this is one of those films that is always worth recommending to anyone.

This film is a return to the past of the life of the writer Gordie Lachance, who after seeing the news of the death of a childhood friend in the newspaper remembers his adventures with that group of friends, the first time I saw this film a long time ago Years didn't have the impact on me that it has now that I'm a grown woman and I think it could be the same for anyone. In this sense, the story deals with when Gordie was 12 years old, he and his other three friends, Chris, Teddy and Vern embark on the adventure of going to look for the body of a missing young man, since one of them heard that the body was nearby. of the train tracks, but no one had reported the body yet, the children decide to go look for it, in their minds they imagined appearing on television for being the first to find the body, taking advantage of a long weekend they go out together because they live in a small town so they must cross the area full of forest and swamp, a camping adventure that every child or teenager would be attracted to, however along the way they get to know each other on a deeper level, for example Gordie he likes to tell stories and suffers because his parents have left him aside after his older brother died, Chris on the other hand comes from a family with alcohol problems and has earned the fame of being a juvenile delinquent, on the other hand he o Teddy has anger control problems and it shows that it is due to mistreatment by his father, while Vern is overweight and very fearful.

One by one, the personalities and problems of each child are revealed in a harmonious way in the film, each character reaches a turning point where his heart opens, revealing all his emotions, however the closeness of friendship between Gordie and Chris is stronger, the adventure has its ups and downs where some do not want to continue while the others do, they even have a quite intense conflict with a group of older youths who also find the body and threaten to kill them. damage because they want the credit of discovering the corpse, Gordie with great courage points it with a gun and drives them away, the thing is that when the children see the corpse they feel pain and empathy and decide to report to the authorities anonymously.

This type of parenting is no longer common now, only people who grow up in the fields or small towns could have adventures like the ones in the movie, technology now surrounds all children, but there is something that makes me excited about this film. and it is that you could only understand what maturity is when you see the past in retrospect, in the film the protagonist describes how after a while his childhood friends distance themselves, each one led a different life, some managed in a certain way to overcome their environment, but at the same time they did not change his personality, like the case of Chris who managed to be a lawyer despite coming from a dysfunctional family, but who died precisely in a dispute, deep down Chris was still the same.

As an adult, I see that my classmates from school or high school ended up in very different destinations, and some of them are dead in different very tragic circumstances, two in car accidents and another two due to illness, of course there are also some who ended up in jail , while others achieved great success in their professional lives and live in other countries or have their own businesses, each person matured in a different way, some managed to overcome the difficulties of the environment while others had no other choice, life is an instant and yet it's so different for each of the children we once met at school, I think this movie is just wonderful, because even though it's emotional, it's not one of those movies where you end up crying, you just end up nostalgic but at the same time with a great reflective interest in when the social dynamics of children, how to grow up involves very big mental struggles, but that although it is a process normal life, each experience is unique and each person is unrepeatable.
