Watching movies is one of the hobbies or activities that many people like. Many people, including myself, often spend their holidays or weekends watching movies. Moreover, in today's era we get the convenience of technology to choose the way we watch a movie. We can still come to the cinema with friends, family or alone to watch a movie, especially when the movie really requires cinema ambience with a booming sound. If you want to relax, you can watch a movie through streaming services such as Netflix, Hotstar or Amazon Prime.
Everyone has their reasons for choosing the movie they want to watch. Some people have conventional reasons for their choice of film, such as the film being played by their favorite actor or actress or also their favorite director. There are also those who have idealistic reasons, such as the story is good or is often said to be an Oscar class movie. Whatever our reason for watching a movie, after watching it we will definitely get a deep impression.
One of the deep impressions obtained by movie audiences is the movie soundtrack or movie scoring. It can be said, very rarely people choose to watch movies because of the soundtrack or because of the scoring. These two elements become an element of surprise for the audience, especially when the soundtrack or scoring has a place in our hearts or feelings and ears.
Many good movies get branding from their soundtracks and movie scoring. For example, of course, friends know or have heard of Bill Conti's "Gonna Fly Now" in the Rocky Franchise Movie which makes us excited. Or the soundtrack of our all-time movie “My Heart Will Go On – Cillene Dion” when we hear the first 3 notes, we can already imagine the faces of Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet on Titanic.

This time, I tried to take part in this contest and also as my first participation in this community. My Favorite Soundtrack Movie I have watched many movies in my entire life. From movies with excellent acting, directing and story quality to bad movies that I want to forget. Of all the movies I've watched, there are two movie soundtracks that top my mind, namely Stuck in The Middle of You from Reservoir Dogs (1992) and The Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing (1987) and maybe if I had to choose one soundtrack favorite movie, I think I will choose The Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing (1987).
I still remember my experience when I watched Dirty Dancing (1987) for the first time. That moment happened in 2010 when I was in my final year of college. I asked for a movie recommendation with a light story from my friend and he gave this movie file to me. Long story short, I watched the movie without expecting anything. I just know, that the movie is an old movie from the 80s.
Dirty Dancing is a romantic drama film starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray. The film is directed by Emile Ardolino and written by Eleanor Bergstein. The story and premise of Dirty Dancing is very simple and easy to understand. This movie is about first love at first sight and the romance of summer plus a passionate sensual dance. For me, Dirty Dancing is like the type of movie that is fun to watch but easy to forget. The surprising and distinguishing element of this film is the song The Time of My Life, sung in a duet by Bill Madley and Jennifer Warren.
If there is no song The Time of My Life, maybe I have forgotten about the story of this movie. This soundtrack moment is what I remember the most when the last dance scene and the song The Time of My Life became the background music for the couple's dance. Perhaps, this dance scene is one of the most influential movie scenes in the world. I'm sure, anyone who watches it will definitely move their body and sway and also sing along.
When I first heard this song, I didn't understand the meaning because I don't use English in my daily life. I just sing and often see the video of the last dance scene in this movie as nostalgia. However, when I started to often go to karaoke places and I often sang this song, I finally understood the meaning of this song.
The Time of My Life is also one of many people's favorite wedding songs. I once watched a friend's wedding, and the groom sang this song when he was about to enter the wedding altar. The moment was so cool, and romantic. I wanted to be like that too, but I realized that my voice was not worthy of being heard by many people.
Until now, The Time of My Life has become one of my favorite songs when doing karaoke. I often force my wife to sing this song together, even though my wife doesn't know who the singer is but she joins in a duet and sings with me. As I write this, the first verse of this song keeps playing in my head.
